I had Dale and Mike out today. Called ahead, prepped work area, completed today’s portion of chimney work, communicated next steps and cleaned up like they were never here.

My home has suffered hurricane damage with both Ian and Milton. Each time, our chimney cap and liner were pulled out and flung a great distance. The repair having failed, I did not return a call to the first Company but thought I had done my due diligence and called a company…said they were certified…NOT… only certified CSAI-in Fl is Swept Away. After having been spoken to poorly, I called CSAI and was given Swept Away, Inc info. Happy I did…Dale and his assistant confirmed what they would do on a 3 level inspection and discussed my options including a staged repair and consideration of an Electric insert. We will move along with repairs!

Prompt arrival is key and that’s what I received. 30 mins prior to our appointment, Dale called to inform me he was on the way. I appreciate that. When they arrived they took the time to prepare my fireplace hearth to perform the inspection & cleaning service. We suspected critter activity in the chimney so this was more than a routine cleaning. They discovered some issues in the firebox that are safety concerns, took pictures and proceeded to go on the roof for the possible animal intrusion.
After inspection, removal of the chase, Dale confirmed an unknown animal had indeed got into the two fireplace pipes where it met its demise. During inspection he discovered additional repairs that will require immediate attention. After Dale’s inspection, cleaning I was sent a complete estimate of repairs needed.
Swept Away has been professional every step in this process, pictures, explanation of needs and providing options for repairs.

Both technicians were very professional and provided great work. Did a great job with the dryer vent and able to give great guidance on an aged chimney. Will definitely call on them again.

My experience with Swept Away was incredible. I phoned several other companies before I chose them. I chose them because their prices were reasonable, they did not seem like they were trying to do an inspection and charge me a great deal more after the inspection. It seemed like that was the case for most of the other companies I spoke too.
The man I spoke with was courteous, respectful and straightforward. He answered all my questions and did not seem like he was trying to charge me for anything other than the service that they were going to deliver.
He gave me a time that they would come between 12:00 and 4:00 and I messed up my schedule. So I phoned him the day they were supposed to come out and he was very gracious and kind. Someone came out before 12:00 so that I could get the things done that I needed to do. They were there for about an hour and worked around all the other things that were happening at my house. They did a great job. There was no mess. And the price they gave me originally was the price I paid.
The customer service was phenomenal and that is something that I find very rare these days.
I would definitely definitely recommend them.
