Called Mechanical A/C Designs late in the afternoon. I believe it was Stephanie who answered my call. Within 2 minutes, she told me that she could have a technician to me within the hour. Forty minutes minutes later Shawn arrived. He quickly went up into the 110 degree attic and checked over the interior unit. When I asked him what was wrong, he said he couldn’t find anything, but he checked all the connections and had found some dead bugs that were possibly causing a problem. He then checked the outside unit and found it to be working okay. He said it may possibly be the thermostat, at which point I asked him if he could install a WiFi unit I had purchased. He said “yes “ and this he accomplished in about 20 minutes, even though he had to go back into the attic to change some wires around. No telling me I would have to purchase it From them. He also told me about their annual 2x preventative maintenance program, that also allows for one free additional call out. I think I will sign up for this.
This company is honest, professional, prompt and great value. I would recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend this company. Shawn did an excellent job, always got back to me promptly, was professional and even cleaned up after his work. I can't say enough about him. Use his company and you will be totally satisfied.

Shawn came in initially to fix my A/C at home. He took the time to show me and explain why my A/C did not work properly. Because of how he was able to demonstrate his knowledge and communicate properly, to someone (like me) with no experience in A/C, I offered him to install the new system I had purchased for the home addition I was building.

This was a ductless mini-split system with 5 ceiling cassettes by LG. Most other companies would not even touch it because I purchased the equipment myself. Shawn gave me a very fair quote for the installation.
He went above and beyond what he quote me in service, labor and more importantly kept me informed at every installation steps. Inspection was done and passed on the first attempt. We now have a totally duct free house!

If your looking for an A/C guy that is fair and trustworthy, Shawn is the guy.

I cannot recommend KenAir enough! After being told by another contractor that my entire HVAC system was beyond repair and would cost $11,000 to replace, I called KenAir for a second opinion. I called around 2:00 pm, and despite having a loaded schedule, Brian and Roy were at my door within two hours.

Both were incredibly nice, super knowledgeable, and didn’t mind patiently answering the ton of questions I threw at them. Brian even took the time to speak highly of the company, which says a lot about the culture there. Most importantly, they diagnosed and repaired the unit the same day, saving my wife and I $11,000. As a homeowner, it's a tremendous feeling when you can take a deep breath and know you've found your HVAC guy. Kevin Heidenreich is that guy for us. Did a fantastic job for us years before the pandemic; now reconnected with him in 2024 and just thankful for the work he did on our AC unit at a price that was perfectly down the middle -- fair. Frankly, we likely could have been taken advantage of, given the situation we were in. Only gratitude in this review!
