Once the system is installed it works perfectly.
Getting through the installation was a bit difficult.

I had a initial call setup to discuss the panels, but the lady (Wendy) forgot about it and didn't show up. I wanted an apology instead she responded with saying she was super busy. I wanted a different rep but was later told she was the only one.

During the actual installation they installed the one of the wall components directly on top of my tesla charger holder so that I couldn't unwrap my tesla charger coil.
So I had to re-drill my charger holder.

I called 2 weeks after to check on the permit situation and found out they forgot to submit it. So I had to wait another 2 weeks.

Again overall product is great, but the overall experience was not

Great company. Have made repairs when necessary and everything is still under warranty. Going solar has lowered our electric bills from over $400 a month in the summer to $53. Best home improvement ever!

I had a great experience with this company. I got my quote as part of an Orange County Coop. I had someone from another solar company review the contract, and he was floored by the value for the price. The panel installation (January 2024) was delayed a week because the supply company did not deliver critical parts on time. The finished product looks great, and my production and electric bill are even better. I am consistently paying Duke $33.88 per month owing to their minimum connection fee. Per Enphase, since I started being able to use my system in March 2024, I have produced 8.8 MWh and consumed 4.5 MWh. Part of the large gap is owing to energy improvements (some new windows and a new HVAC) I made after installation. I financed through a HELOC, so I cannot speak to the bank with which they partner.

We got quotes from several solar companies and 15 lightyears as part of a group co-op rate was by far the lowest. We are very pleased with the quality of the panels and no longer have an electric bill. Note that if you get your roof replaced, and the roofing company replaces the panels it may void parts of the warranty.

15 lightyears installed solar on our home in 2019. Not only were they AMAZING as people, they worked tirelessly (Dec 29-31) to complete the project before the 2020 new year so we could claim the installation for a tax rebate immediately.

Having solar changed our dynamic significantly. We saved so much money having a fixed loan bill instead of a fluctuating electric bill. With our system we were able to power our 3 bed/2 bath/2 car garage home completely without interruption for the duration of our time living there (we moved out of Florida in July 2022). Additionally, 15 Lightyears installed a level two charger in the garage where we were able to have two electric vehicles plugged in nightly and still overproduce in power.

When we moved out of Florida in July 2022 and rented the house out, the tenants never had an issue with having electricity, even during the hurricanes that hit. We continued to overproduce power which is then bought back by the electric company at the end of the year.

We recently sold the home in February 2024 and the solar was a big incentive when having offers come through. Because we had finished paying the loan off, those interested in the home understood they would not need to worry about a high electric bill and we sold the home rather quickly with this perk.

15 lightyears installed my system in 2020 through a co-op. They explained the three packages available to meet my needs (I was looking for a smaller system that would offset over the year). I wasn't upsold. The explained each step of the way and handled everything professional. The system was installed in a day and passed inspection the first time without issue. I had generating questions after install and they walked me through everything. Highly recommend!

In February 2020 15 Light Years installed a 9.60 kW roof mounted Solar PV System on my house. I served on the committee that selected 15 Lightyears from a consortium of many companies bidding for the opportunity. They were selected due to price, convenience, warranty and professionalism. This was my 2nd home to have solar installed (first install was a different company).. I'm totally satisfied with their ease of communication, quick response to system install and reactions when there was a system issue. I especially like the ability to view each panel independently for performance. My lower power bills have been impressive. When I did have a few problems they quickly remedied the situation. I highly recommend this company.

Very happy with our solar panels. We went thru the Solar Co-op, so 15 Lightyears was the selected contractor. They were very responsive, ordered and installed our panels in a timely manner, and have been quick to respond to a couple of issues we have had with inverters going bad (quickly replaced under warranty). We had 15 lightyears install solar on our house a few years ago. We are very happy with the system and how much it saves us on electricity bills. A few months after install our inverter failed due to manufacturer defect. They handled all the warranty work for us and got use back up and running quickly.

15 lightyears installed a quality pv system on our home and the results have been great! Installers were friendly and fast, and took our needs and preferences into account. Had some hiccups during contracting and permitting but they made sure to resolve any issues. Overall we are very happy with the performance of the system.

When I was looking for a company to install solar on my home I researched a ton of companies. There were three, things that I was looking for. 1. company reputation, 2. equipment that they had available, and 3. service reputation. I found all three with 15 Lightyears. 15 Lightyears had an excellent reputation, they had the equipment that I was looking for and they were responsive. I have had my solar system now for about 4 years and have not had any issues with the work that they did. I would be very happy to recommend them to friends, family and neighbors.

My solar co-op contracted with 15Lightyears to install solar panel to the entire group of families in the co-op, after they provided what I could guess was the best price. Everything went smoothly, from explaining the system and establishing the need for power, to planning the size of the system, installing everything in less than a day, and pulling the permits. They also installed an electric car plug-in during the same visit. It has been 4 years no with no issues, with the systems showing good performance. I already recommended them to a few friends.

I installed solar through a co-op and was on the committee which selected the installer. 15 Lightyears put together the best proposal as far as quality panels at an excellent price point and were selected as the installer for the co-op. 15 Lightyears took the time to explain the custom arrayed they planned for my home, its performance, expected ROÍ, steps required in the process, permits and payments. Installation was done in a day. We’ve had the system for over four years and have had no issues. We enjoy having 90% of our electrical bill offset and should realize our initial investment in 2026. Additionally, we had a hail storm that damaged the roof (no damage to the panels!) and had to get a new roof. 15 Lightyears was responsive in providing cost estimates for the uninstall reinstall for the insurance claim. The panels were taken down in one day and reinstalled in one day after the roof was re done. Overall, a great company to work with that is responsive, economical and professional.

We had solar installed by 15 lightyears through the Solar United Neighbor's Cooperative in 2020 and have been delighted by work-up, installation, and follow-up. The salesperson, Griffin
Moran, was knowledgeable and thorough discussing the pros and cons of all features. The tech and production teams worked with us as we had a new roof installed, ran all wires neatly through attic, and completely explained all features.
