Blue Horizon's Pools & Spa's resurfaced and re shaped my pool. They did some OK/good paver work, some have cracked over the last two years. I will say Pools are their specialty though. I do appreciate a straight forward honest person and Marty is just that. The weekly pool service is also great, but on the pricier side. What i will say though is, you get what you pay for. My pool is immaculate every week! The reason for 4 stars VS 5, is the wiggle room to work with a customer. I understand business, but pool repairs here are pricey. What would've costed me a new pump, only costed me a rubber washer (thanks to my old pool guy) . I think i was expecting a bit more understanding and concern for my issue since I did spend as much as a brand new BMW with these guys, but it is what it is. To clarify, this doesn't mean they aren't a good company, it just means their overhead is more than others. Janet and the girls in the office are responsive and have somewhat grown to be family, and i've never met them lol. Overall - trustworthy company to get the job done right. If I ever need another pool resurfaced, im calling you guys!

I was satisfied with the initial work, done by Blue Horizon. Their technician gave me a written 6 months warranty, on the $250 worth of work he did. Quite a bit of leaves had accumulated, as my system had not been running correctly for a while, and I couldn't afford to keep up the pool. However, an hour after the technician left, the sweeper stopped running, and I couldn't get any suction at all. I called him back, (it was a Friday afternoon), and he gave me some instructions, which I worked on, for hours, over the weekend. For 2 weeks, I tried to get them back out. Finally, today, Gary, (the owner?) called me this morning. He said he was on his way. I told him I was still in bed, and he said fine, as long as someone could pay for the work. I reminded him that this was a warranty issue. His attitude changed, IMMEDIATELY. He said he'd have to call the original technician, to find out what he had done. He called me back, and said that it probably wasn't going to be covered under warranty, because of my "negligence", for not getting the leaves out! The whole point of hiring them, was to get my system running, so I could GET THE LEAVES OUT! Then he proceeded to tell me I waited 2 weeks to call, when I've been calling for 2 weeks, but hello, the warranty is for 6 MONTHS! Gary then proceeded to tell me that the other technician TOLD me that if I didn't get the leaves out, the warranty wouldn't apply. HUH? So Gary insulted me, condescended to me, implied that he was present at my conversation with the other technician, and that the pool pump not running was "my fault". This is the worst example of customer service I've seen in a LONG time. I would not hire this company again, if my pool resembled the BLACK LAGOON. I will be taking them to court, where a judge can decide what's what. Buyer, BEWARE!

It’s been a few months since I had Blue Horizons remodel my pool and I continue to get compliments on the work. We did a resurface and installed pavers around the pool. We also had them do our driveway and create a new second driveway. As with any construction project there was a few issues here and there but they did whatever was necessary to make it right. So overall I’m very satisfied.

We decided to do a resurface, re-tile, and deck work. From the start, the team has been very responsive, thoughtful about design and has executed very well. The team was in and out over a long period of time but the timing was the expectation set out at the beginning of the project. We are very happy with the quality of work and the service so far.

I feel like the biggest compliment you can give someone is to post a review of the work they did for you. I am SO happy we decided to work with Blue Horizons Pools & Spas.

I had so much anxiety when it came to redoing our pool because our house sits in a way that the view from every room is of our pool. I was so scared it wouldn’t look nice and our view would be ruined. Our backyard is extremely peaceful and quiet and I wanted our pool to make the backyard look even better. After interviewing multiple pool companies (I was told these companies had never been asked so many questions 😂) we decided to use Blue Horizons because they had the best customer service, they were the only company to bring samples of product to our house and they don’t subcontract any of their work. They provided us with their license information and a full list of other clients that we could contact for recommendations. I even found some people who let me come over and go into their backyards to look at their pools. I’m crazy. I know.

I just want to say how much I appreciated their kindness, patience and excellent customer service. They were prompt. If they told me they were calling at a certain time or arriving at a certain time, they were there at the exact time they stated. They discussed what they had done every day so we always knew what the next step was. If I ever needed to contact the office, the phones were always answered and my emails were returned almost instantly. They cleaned up after themselves. One day I happened to look out the window and saw one of the workers wiping down my patio furniture with his shirt because he had gotten dust on it. They came back every other day over the course of a week to add and monitor all of our pool chemicals until the water was safe to swim. An extra special thank you to the poor guy who had to teach me how to use all the new pool equipment 😂

I would give this company 6 stars if I could! I am a stickler for customer service and these guys are on point!!! They are fairly priced and did a great job. A few things to note: I was told I would get a call at 730 am and he actually called me at 730 on the nose, not even 731!!! They were fast and did a great job. Also, they found issues with my pool pump and fixed it for no extra charge. Then a few days after I had an issue with my pump again. My husband called and the lady said “someone will call first thing in the morning”. Again, promptly the next morning someone called and came out the same morning. The issue with my pump was due to age and not something they did. Again he fixed that issue with no extra charge. I am very thankful for the great job and service!!!

On time, efficient, professional, high quality, helpful and informative throughout the resurfacing process. Highly recommend!

I was hoping to leave a glowing review based on their reputation and the premium pricing, but I can’t do that based on our experience, unfortunately. I wanted to post this to hopefully get some compensation or at least to help others not get into the same situation. First off, the staff at Blue Horizons were very nice. Aside from the leftover cigarette butts and specks of resurfacing material left on our tile (no big deal) they were all fantastic. However, we have wavy stairs. They’re not even close to a straight line all the way across. They started out straight, so it can be done. When I asked the workers they said the inconsistencies are because it is hand troweled on. I asked them how the stairs originally had perfect lines and they said it was because we previously had tile. What?? At no point was I informed that the stairs would look bad if I didn’t do tile on them, or I would have done tile and made them look perfect! Now we are going to be looking at wavy stairs the next 20 years and despite having brought this up with the employees I haven’t heard anything from the management about getting this fixed or compensated, so here I am with the only recourse: to leave a review. This was a very expensive resurfacing job. I also went to a friend's pool and took underwater pics of both his and mine. He has quite straight lines on his stairs. Mine, as you can see from the pics, are quite wavy. The pictures don't do it justice. I hope this helps someone in the future.

I have been legit impressed by Bruce's work. He seems knowledgeable and professional. I have tried 2 other pool services, but when left hanging from the last one I made a switch and hoped for the best....I was not actually expecting to be impressed when I have barely been able to rely on reliable appearance let alone work performance. When I thanked him he said it was what I paid for, but in truth it was what I had been paying for for years without getting from other providers, and that makes me happy. Janet from the office is super pleasant and professional as well, it was truly a relief to be speaking with adults vs children for once. I would recommend them to others based on the experience I have had in the first 2 weeks alone...especially because Bruce took the time and effort to do it right when other pool service providers barely bothered. Even better he made me feel like I was finally getting my moneys worth for pool services. I called my wife after the very first visit
and said- you have got to see the pool! It had never looked so good. No other service took anytime to scrub the side clean, so I could see he had standards that others don't hold themselves to. Thanks again!

Kalvin and Josh added a heat pump for my pool. It only took them a few hours and it was up and running.

Brandon was professional and helpful. He took the time to explain, what I needed to do in order to not experience the same problem. At the end, asked if there was any other questions he could answer as I typically take care of my pool myself. Very knowledgeable. Would recommend Blue Horizons and Brandon to friends and neighbors.

errible. We were told that we needn't be home, but if we hadn't been, several items contracted for would not have been done. We hired them, even though they were by far the most expensive company, because we expected a good job, worry-free. There was no manager/supervisor for the job - just various work crews. No one took responsibility for the job or quality. There were hidden costs at the end. We were told that someone would come out and finish, but it has been months and no one has. There is no grout or sand between many of the pavers, spilt white globs that do not wash off, unfinished edges... We would never do business with this company again or recommend them. Everyone who has seen the finished job has been shocked. Pictures uploaded.

The guy that came out to quote our job was abrasive, difficult to work with, and appeared disengaged the minute I opened the door. I called the company later in the afternoon and the customer service person I talked to had a similiar disengaged attitude. I guess it's all in-family or it wasn't a big job. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their services and suggest seeking out contractors who demonstrate greater professionalism and enthusiasm. I usually don't write negative reviews, but if I was the owner, I would want to know about an employee like this.

The BHP team are fantastic! It is somewhat rare to find true craftsmen these days, but they take pride in their work and it shows. We wanted to give our old dated pool a face lift and do something different with a non-functioning attached spa. Marty was helpful and made the suggestion of converting our spa to sun shelf (so glad he did). Everyone was informative, punctual, courteous and professional. BHP was competitively priced, had a reasonable start timing and finished ahead of schedule. We will be recommending BHP to everyone who needs pool work.

Had Josh and Kalvin out today to replace my spa pump. Perfect Time, perfect repair and just lovely to work with. 100% satisfaction.

Just had Blue Horizons refinish our pool and install pavers on pool deck as well as patio and I could not be happier with the outcome. They have different teams that did different parts of the job, but all of them were wonderful. They did a professional job, communication was fantastic and price was reasonable (they were not the cheapest or the most expensive). Oh and they finished 3 weeks early. They are the best contractor I have used in years for anything. Wish I could say the same for my screen company. LOL.

Excellent work from start to finish, all by the same company without having to micromanage any part. Great communication, pricing, work and finished product. We love our refinished pool and new decking!! Thank you!!
