Reason for 4 stars is I am a new customer. Until the diagnosis has been approved with American Home Shield .

Good technician. Fixed the Stove Burner Knob in 5 minutes - it was loose. The only drawback is the cost of the Service Call - $100! Overall, happy with service.

The technician was very knowledgeable, he solved the problem, but according to sears the service was very slow. My AC broke on the 15 of September and got fixed on the 29 of September that was a very difficult time for me to wait that long and I’m not a young person 🧒 as you’re know Florida is very hot.

I happily used Sears Appliance Repair to successfully fix my washing machine previously but this visit to repair my dishwasher was really bad.

First, the technician was a "generalist" who works on all appliances and does not specialize in working on Samsung dishwashers (which are unfortunately unique). Having said that, I called for service for two issues: 1). Grinding sound/three beeps/failure to start that occurs frequently; and, 2). LC code which happened for the second time yesterday.

Even though I provided the issue details to the agent when I booked the appointment and also sent the details to the technician in reply to his confirmation text this morning, the technician called me upon his arrival to ask what was wrong so he could bring in any appropriate parts (I was hoping he would have received my earlier attempts to provide this information so his visit would result in my dishwasher being fixed during the first visit but did not happen).

Anyway, he pulled out the dishwasher and confirmed there was a leak and then started putting it back and I said, "aren't you going to fix the main issue I called you for?" Further, I said, "I know there was a leak, I received a LC code but I called you to fix the grinding/failure to start issue-- what about that?" He said that he believed I needed a new "water wall" which is unique to Samsung and parts/labor would be $615.00 and he needed to order the part and return to fix it. I asked him if he was positive that my issue would be fixed after spending $615 and if it wasn't would I receive a refund and he said that I would not. Additionally, I mentioned to him that I saw a video repair done for the grinding/failure to start and it was due to bad bearings in a motor that needed to be replaced (not a water wall). So, I asked again if he was confident my issue would be fixed but he would not confirm that. Essentially, as long as I was willing to pay for it, we were going to do a $615 experiment it seems. Anyway, I was left with no confidence that if I proceeded, my issue would actually be fixed-- VERY DISAPPOINTING!

I cannot say that all "repairs" will go this way, but this experience was certainly bad.
