Nearly three years ago I sought out a contractor to remodel my bathroom which is in a condo. Multiple unreliable , ghosting , no follow up contractors came to my condo . All had excuses why the job was too difficult to execute in my building which has mountains of rules. Roland took on the challenge and did a great job turning my dreary bathroom into a lavish complement to my condo . This was praiseworthy but what follow was remarkable.

Two and half years later a few large tiles come apart from the wall . I stood in panic , realizing to get this fixed would be a herculean task. I called up Roland and 2 ½ years after he did the original work he picked up the phone on my first call . Within 24 hours he surveyed the problem , and within a few days sent work man to fix the problem . It was a job perfectly done . The cost to me, NOTHING. No charge. Roland stood by his work , never did he pause in doing the right thing .

Good skills are not common but skills coupled with honor and integrity is a unicorn in South Florida . This is a company that stands by its work. It is a company worth your highest consideration .

After having 6 different companies give me quotes for installing tiles and baseboards in my apartment, none of them felt right. I decided to call one more company, Miami Tile & Renovation, and after meeting the owner I knew right away that this company was different and I knew I was going to hire them! I was very picky because I was limited on time so I was looking for someone reliable, on time and honest. I was renting a place so I only had 6 weeks to get the city permit and have the tiles installed and it was very stressful. Ive heard horror stories of contractors starting work and leave you in the middle to complete another job but this company is not like that! Roland has a whole team and they are reliable, on time, clean and they are working everyday. I loved that Roland was always available to answer any questions and he was very patient with me during the whole process. They did an amazing job with the tiles, they look exactly how I wanted and they are gorgeous! I was very lucky to find them and I already recommended them to all my friends!

We had hired Miami tile to remodeling our home. The project took 4 months to complete. We put new floors through the house, bath, kitchen and so on. The project manager was very responsive, the communication was very well. The work was absolutely what we expected. I can highly recommend them.

Pleased to be writing a review of MT Construction and my experience working with them. They are an excellent team to work with. MT Construction renovated my floors, master bathroom and powder room, and installed 5 invisible doors – 1 bed + 1.5 baths, 789 sqft condo

Timeline •Mid Jul’23, quotation •End Aug’23, City of Miami approved plans •Sep’23, pulled permit •Mid Oct’23, demolition •Mid Nov’23, master bathroom complete •Dec’23, floor tiles complete (livingroom, bedroom, kitchen) •Mid Feb’24, powder complete •Mid Mar’24, invisible doors and drywall complete

5 months to complete the project accommodating all delays with my materials: tiles, custom floating vanities by Kavana, custom bathroom polished brass fixtures by Phylrich made in California, custom 5 invisible doors of which two were XL double doors 104” tall lead time of 15 weeks.

Roland’s quote was higher than other contractors, however I chose Roland. Roland is licensed while the other “GCs” call themselves GCs but they do NOT have their own license and use someone else’s. Yes, it is an actual thing in Miami so BEWARE! Roland’s quotation had detailed line items describing exactly the work in the project. When I had questions and asked him to readjust the line items he could quickly provide explanation and make the calculation adjustments on the spot and resend the estimate right away. Logical and simple enough right? No, other contractors cannot. They quotation is a one liner with no information and details and you will learn that it will take them days to readjust quotes because they are waiting on the person they are borrowing the license from. Lastly, there is an ‘aura’ about Roland that gives this sense of calmness and deep experience. Other contractors are busy trying to win your bid; they are snake oil salesman that your instincts feel on edge. With Roland, my business sense was calm and felt assured. If I can have logical discussions with a person, that is when I know we can do business together.

You can really tell the kind of person Roland is by the people who represent his business. His team are good genuine workers and they are skilled. Why? It’s not easy to build a team that is honest and skilled. Unfortunately in this field, it is just about getting the work done quickly and moving on to next projects, and more often than you know, they lie. MT is thorough; they will not simply move on. They want to do the job right. Their tilers appreciate a good vision for the reno project and good material; importantly, they have accountability to see a project finish through beautifully. The team understood my vision and the look I wanted to achieve with the bathroom. They calculated the tiles and cut them to the width of my bathtub. There is a math and art to what they did with my bathroom to keep the “peace” of the fengshui. They extended the wall behind my toilet so that it went right up to the bathtub, calculated and cut every tile piece to the length that would centralize the grout lines a certain way. Even my toilet had to be ever so slightly repositioned so that it was centered to the grout lines. I wanted a recessed lighting to be exactly aligned with the grout lines and they respected every single detail that I wanted to achieve. They held my polished brass bathroom fixtures and appreciated the quality of them and you could tell that they were keen to seeing the beautiful finished look of my bathroom. MT team never made me feel apologetic for being super neurotic with my requests. They respected all my requests, large or small, it didn’t matter. They did it all. They are good hard working guys who felt the same kind of passion that I had for my home as if it were theirs.

There is an MVP on the team and it is MT’s Project Manager, Jeffrey. Jeffrey is the ace of all spades and can come up with 3 or 4 solutions when a project doesn’t go right and wrinkles present themselves during the course of the work.

Just leaving some notes on the work Miami tile did for me. I had all 3 of my bathrooms refinished and also my kitchen. Amazing job I must say. Roland was great to work with. He was here daily checking in on the project and making sure everything was to as I wanted it to be. He understood the direction I wanted to take. And nailed it! His team of professionals shows in finished result. I couldn’t be happier. From start to finish. Amazing job again. Thank you.

Roland is one of the best GC we have ever known, very knowledgeable and willing to help. All of his workers are good and respectful people. The tile work we hired him for came out excellent and the cleanness while they were working impressive. I definitely recommend Miami Tile for any project. They answered the phone each time we called and educated us in the process. We are very happy customers.

I had a pleasure to work with Miami Tile. I called them up for an estimate and it was scheduled for the next day when I met with Roland. He explained everything from start to the end. The proposal turn around was also pretty fast but price little higher what I expected, but worth it. Literally Roland and Jeff was available 24/7
The whole project took 4 mount full home remodeling with some change orders. The whole interior of the house. Roland is very up front I could ask pretty much anything.
