I’m not coming back here. They don’t help you, they just belittle you for not being as knowledgeable as them.

I'll have everyone know that, for years, both on the phone and in person, their service people are always extremely rude and quite sure of their jobs, and their prices are pretty much higher than all others. I'm going to post this notice on Next-door, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, and various other social media. They don't deserve to be in business, point-blank!

Horrible treatment. Absolutely rude staff. Really ugly experience: As a female worker I felt harassed and bullied by disrespectful "know-it-all" men. They need to improve their customer service skills. I was referred by another plumbing supply store to "try" to find a solution (I needed to get a Syco shower stem extension, since the shower valve was installed too far into the wall). They were so nasty, barking at me, saying "stem extensions" do not exist!!!".
Please, please, please, find better staff. No wonder why they have so many bad reviews.
P.S. Go to Amazon.com where there are hundreds of stem extensions and other type of plumbing solutions. I want to support local businesses, but honestly Amazon never lets me down.

I know this place for years. The place has a good supply of plumbing parts. Prices are high. Service is very poor, the mayority of the employees are rude, prepotent, treat you as you were stupy and they are doing a favor to you. Occasionally you may found a nice person, if you are lucky. Returns are not easy. Unfortunately they know that there are no good plumbing supply stores in Miami.

Customer service is terrible. Every time I call they are always rude and always in a hurry. I understand people are understaffed but would be nice to talk to someone who actually wants to help you.

where do i begin, so i went to buy a particular item to help with the problem i was having. the guy there sold me on trying some other way to resolve my issue by selling me a $50 part. i tried the part and it did not work. i went back to return it and thats where it all began. Another guy helped me and right away told me the part was opened and i could not return it. mind you its a valve kit that screws on to extend the handles of the valves - all made of brass. he then tells me i cant get my money back. i was shocked! and then he proceeded to yell that all he does is work there and they cant return the money ! then a "manager" started to rip into me that they cant take back used parts. the parts were is pristine condition exactly as i bought them - they are brass.

in short they were extremely rude and i wish i had read the reviews before i even attempted to do business with those rude people.

STAY AWAY AND DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. GO TO CENTURY PLUMBING WHERE THEY ARE NICE AND NORMAL PEOPLE.

This is the Place to Take your Rare Parts and they must likely have it on stock..... Price is fair if you understand how the market works...... If you want Magic or Free Plumbing class, use YouTube and wake up, this is a business place.

Can confirm their representative at the counter is rude, like what can you say? it's the truth. Do they deserve to be shut down? no, do they deserve a bad look for bad service? yes.

Horrible customer service, treat you very bad. They tell you things don’t exist When I purchased it before. Rather than saying they don’t stock it the Counter talks to you very condescending.

There’s a lot of other plumbing supplies out there that will treat you with more respect and offer real assistance.

Check out furgeson before coming here.

This is the place where you’re gonna find oddball plumbing stuff that you’ll need for your repair. Needed a handle for a Spanish made valve for the shower and they had a generic replacement part that even looked exactly like the original handle. They know their business.

It's a matter of luck !!! Dealing with the moody clerk and owner can be heaven or hell. One day they bend backwards to help you and even give the part for free, other day they charge big bucks for exactly the same piece. These guys know what they have and what they know and either they give it all or nothing at all. In any case, a good place to get assistance when one is unsure about what to get. 😉😉😉😉

The worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life. These guys are rude and only care about the money they can make with their super high prices. If you can order your part online DO IT! Complete waste of time doing business with them.

Simply THE BEST! The second you walk into the store with your piece in hand, these guys know exactly what you're looking for. They are knowledgeable, quick, and very informative. Mike, the owner, helped us out and I must say, it's great being helped by people who have a genuinely great attitude. Mike and the team at Stern Brothers are great so if you're ever in need of plumbing hardware, dont hesitate to stop by and ask questions. They will help!

Subject: A Cautionary Tale: Stern Brothers Plumbing Supply - A Regrettable Encounter

I am saddened to report an extremely disappointing experience I had at Stern Brothers Plumbing Supply recently. With a heavy heart, I pen this review, hoping it may prevent others from experiencing what I endured.

My journey to Stern Brothers began with a recommendation from the amiable team at ACE Hardware on Bird Rd. With a sense of optimism, I ventured into the store, only to be greeted by a cold reception from a light-haired gentleman whose demeanor left much to be desired. Unfortunately, our interaction rapidly deteriorated.

Despite my genuine attempts to articulate my needs, this representative continually interrupted me with an unwelcome tone and dismissive gestures. His insistence that the personnel at ACE had sent me away under false pretenses was both shocking and perplexing. The very idea that another customer with a similar problem had also been directed to Stern Brothers seemed to irk him further, prompting an unprofessional tirade on how everyone, except him, was attempting to deceive me.

Amidst this storm of impoliteness, a second gentleman ventured to assist me by trying to locate the adapter I was seeking. Regrettably, his goodwill was met with the same brusque dismissal by the first man, who proceeded to diminish his efforts.

Growing weary of this distressing encounter, I confronted him, inquiring about the source of his anger and his need to raise his voice. To my dismay, he remained intransigent and declared that I had requested his advice. In light of his palpable hostility, I voiced my distress, stating that his behavior was beyond the pale of professionalism, and I no longer wished to engage in conversation with him. Consequently, I took my leave.

It is with sincere regret that I must strongly dissuade anyone considering a visit to Stern Brothers Plumbing Supply. This establishment seems to prioritize unprofessionalism over customer service. There are certainly alternative options that will respect both your time and emotions. Protect your investment, your peace of mind, and your dignity. Steer clear of Stern Brothers Plumbing - unless a disconcerting verbal altercation is your idea of an ideal shopping experience.

I walked into this store this morning needing help with a shower handle cartridge. When I approached the supply store I was greeted by a man that stunk of alcohol and not to mention was very rude. He told me that the piece I was buying was only going to work with my old shower handle so to just replace the cartridge. I told him that I had done some research and found that the Pegasus Cartridge is the same as the Glacier Bay. He told me no that it would be a different cartridge and very rudely walked away. I showed another gentleman there what I was talking about and again he insisted I was wrong so I purchased the part just in case they were right. Both the associates were wrong. The Glacier Bay did fit properly, in fact it’s the same cartridge part number as my original so I just purchased the whole kit else where. 2 hours later When I came back to return it I was told by the same rude alcohol smelling man that I couldn’t because the plastic bag was ripped at the top. I reminded him that he was the gentleman that told me that I would only be able to use this piece on my old parts which he was wrong and that’s why I was returning it. Not to mention the piece was never used. You can tell by looking at the gasket and the parts. Also not to mention the part was 64.00 and the part at Home Depot was 24.00. My whole experience from start to finish was beyond bad.

A one star is being generous when in fact the establishment deserves negative stars to the max! My father and I visited Stern Brothers Plumbing Supply the morning of 8/23/2023 for questions to be answered and to be lead in the correct direction, but instead, the head individual degraded my father and made it seem like he didn’t know what he was talking about. He said many degrading things when in fact my father knew what he was talking about, after all. The lead employee didn’t allow my father to get the chance to speak, explain, and give an example. He immediately stated that my father “didn’t make any sense”. He actually continued to make his experience a memorable experience in a negative way! No wonder why they are labeled as the “Stern Brothers” because of their sternness and [LACK] of customer service skills. I believe this establishment should be ORDERED SHUT due to the trending reviews of RUDENESS! In order to be reopened, ALL of the employees should be requested to take customer service classes! In addition, in order for an establishment to become successful, it FIRST starts with great COMMUNICATION/CUSTOMER SERVICE, and the Stern Brothers Plumbing Supply does NOT have THAT. Please, do NOT go to the Stern Brothers Plumbing Supply for any supplies!

4 words: Ask for Super Mike! I could not have asked for a kinder, honest, patient and knowledgable sales rep. Mike went the extra mile to explain to me everything I needed to repair my shower fixture.

I have been a customer for over 35 years. These guys are characters however they have taught me so much about plumbing and repairs. Their advice is invaluable. Yes they can be rude if you are super sensitive but hey, grow a little thick skin. I have great appreciation for them!

Excellent service! I needed to replace an older valve and they had it in stock. Then Ralph went the extra mile by explaining the replacement process and giving me pro tips on what not to do. Can't recommend them enough. Thank you.

Rude, no business manners, not willing to help a customer.
Twice I tried to buy something from them an definitely the person at the counter has no customer service skills whatsoever.
If you're not a professional plumber that knows the trade don't waste your time trying to get their help. They are pretty good at letting you know you're wasting their precious time .
The one star I was forced to select in order to write my review is the real waste here.

To the owner of this establishment: You need to educate your employees on manners. For the first and last time I went to your store and had the following negative experience.
I opened the front door, began to enter and said hello to a while male with black hair slightly heavy. his response was yelling at me, " you are not allowed here wait out side" This man is very rude to be dealing with the public.
I was shocked, but because I needed the part I kept quiet and walked out. I later entered and was serviced by another employee. I understand that during this pandemic people are nervous, however there is no need to be so rude. because with the public money spending it at your store, you will no longer have a store.
The next time I need a part, I am taking my money elsewhere and not to you!

    Yelp is next.
