Wow. What a great experience. Doug Peery came out and walked my yard and we reviewed what I wanted done. Turned out it was 12 trees with several over low voltage power lines and roofs. The sweet gum trees were TALL. Anyway, on the day of work Doug walked the job with me and the foreman Mark and the estimate. There were no uncertainties about what was to be done. They brought everything… tall lift, crane, grappler, stump grinder and haul away truck. Very professional and fastidious about cleaning up. We had 6 on the job and they worked in an incredibly orchestrated and efficient manner. No standing around…. No BS. Everyone spoke English and so communication was great. Doug showed back up on the site when they were finishing up. Again, can’t say enough about these guys.fully recommend.

Overall very satisfied with the service provided. Had 12 trees removed two stumps ground and a few trees trimmed. Big Branch was very considerate with our property. They confirmed where our septic tank was located, took care to use pads to protect the grass, and was careful not to disturb our neighbors cherished azaleas.
Only one problem which I will contribute to miss communication. There was a smaller tree that I believed was part of the agreement. However as they were almost finished I noticed it had not been removed. After discussing with the foreman of the crew we agreed they would remove it also and only asked that we tip the crew.
Big Branch did an awesome job removing all the derbis, left our property in excellent condition. We Would recommend Big Branch for our friends and our Foxmeadow neighbors.

Roger is very knowledgeable and responsive. His crew did a great job trimming only what was necessary in order to lighten and open up areas of our live oaks.

They squeezed us in at the last minute and were able to take down three trees that were struck by lightening before the hurricane. They cleaned everything up and acted very professional. Really pleased with their work. Will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Great work at a very reasonable price, Contracted for two days work and really got my money’s worth. They performed above and beyond my expectations. Leaving my property clean and well taken care of.

Awful, awful company! We hired them after doing three estimates, and felt the most comfortable with their knowledge and expertise. DO NOT hire them unless you want your irrigation system, main water line and fence damaged. They did not complete the job they were hired to do, and then have ignored calls without fixing the issues. They also claim they are not responsible for underground utilities, and clearly go about their work without care for them. I'm not sure when an irrigation system became considered an "underground utility". BEWARE!!!

Jim and his crew were efficient and came when scheduled. They did a great job quickly and cleaned up. They have all the equipment needed and the price is fair. Would definitely recommend them.

Jim, the owner and his sale rep Rodger were very Nice! Gave me a very reasonable quote! They were very prompt when it comes to timing! Would highly recommend them to any one looking for ANY kind of tree work! Will be doing more business with them in the future!

Jim came out the same day I called for an estimate. I called around and couldn't find anybody who could touch that price. His crew was friendly, knowledgeable and worked very fast. I wouldn't go anywhere else for tree and stump removal. Thanks!

This company did another awesome job for us recently! Eight large, very tall trees down and super clean up after! We will call no one else for our tree removal.

They did it again. Amazing service at a great price. Used American Tree Surgeons twice before and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Roger had a crew take care of three stumps while we were at work and came home to a new front yard. Thank you very much!

I have been using Jimmy Maddox's company for as long as I can remember. With a huge yard full of oak trees I have needed periodic trimming every 2 - 3 years. His prices have always been extremely reasonable and his staff have been exceptional, even doing little "extra" jobs for me while onsite. The last job was a few weeks ago as I was leaving town. A tree fell and I arranged to have it removed, and some additional trimming. When I arrived home not only had the tree been removed but the stump was ground and a fence, knocked down by the tree, was removed. A few days later they brought in a crane to do some additional "trimming". Wow they did way more than expected and it was greatly appreciated. Although the crane made a mess of my front yard, they did their best to clean it up. The rest of the yard, front and back looked like no one had been here. Leaves raked, limbs and twigs removed. Based on the amount of work they did, for the price it was done, I couldn't be more happy.

These guys are the best. I've had them do several jobs for me & I've been extremely happy. Just referred some neighbor's to them. I use Justin's crew. They are always bringing a smile! Plus they work hard & very well together!!! Will call when I need more done. Thanks guys!!!!

We recently had to have a very large water oak removed from our property. We were lucky enough to have the excellent service from American Tree Surgeons. If you want quality and professional work they have all the quipment to handle big jobs. Their crew was very friendly and professional. We will highly recommend them to any of our neighbors.

Jim's crew showed up on time,took the time to do the work that was asked and were very professional! Cleaned up all debris and left our home better than it was before they showed up.

We had a tree that needed to be removed and time was of the essence due to a deck we were having built in two days. We contacted American Tree Surgeons for a quote and within 30 minutes, received a phone call that one of their staff would be at our house to survey the work needed and give us a quote.

We soon learned that their workload was full and they would not be able to begin work until the following week. Five minutes later, we were advised they could rearrange their schedule to accommodate to our short timeframe; work began the next day.

The staff that arrived to do the work did so on time and the job was completed to perfection. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, proficient, and most importantly, courteous.

We have other trees in our yard that we plan to have removed and will be hiring American Tree Surgeons to do the work.

I contacted Jim Maddox to remove a tree about three months ago. He agreed to come out and take a look. I said fine. After two weeks, i didn't hear from him. I called back and asked him again when someone would come out and look at my tree and provide a quote. His only response was "soon". Never did hear from him. I went with Tree Tech instead. Happy with Tree Tech. Won't be calling American Tree again.

EDIT 15 Nov 2020. After reading Jim Maddox's response, i am amending this review up two more stars. I am truly sorry to hear about his health condition problems. I have never been accused of being unkind. I wish Jim the best. I did however notice that Jim responded to my initial review with the speed of lightening (over night). This leads me to believe he could have responded to my 2 requests for a quote sometime in the last 16 weeks that i requested it, or given me a phone call. He never did, and no one from his company did. I was left hanging over hurricane season with a tree threatening my home until another company responded. If his company comes to a grinding halt whenever he is out sick, well that is scary situation for all that work there. As far as the previous work his company did which Jim claimed to be "exceptional" in price and quality, I never gave him any feedback on that job. He never asked me. I thought they did a fair job for a price i agreed to pay. I believe i provided a nice tip to the workers and paid the invoice promptly. Your welcome.
