They were fine up until this past year, I provide a lawn service for 32 accounts and quality first maintains 24 of my 32,,, My yards have never looked worse in the 19 years that I have been doing them,, I get nothing but excuses from them that I'm mowing too short when all my mowers are set on 4-in minimum, All of my yards are overtaken with weeds and fungus,, It's a shame because I referred this company to my clients 6 years ago, And now they've gone completely downhill,, I literally had a verbal argument with the technician this afternoon when he showed up to spray the yard and I sat there and watched him in my truck, He walked over part of the yard and sprayed for 10 minutes and got in his truck and tried to leave before I stopped him and told him there is no way you sprayed this entire yard with a backpack sprayer in 10 minutes,, He proceeded to argue with me once again saying the infestation of weeds was because the irrigation was down for a month,,, 😂 yeah right We live in Central Florida we get an inch or two every day, run from this company!!!

I set up a time for Sean to come out and take a look at our yard. He was late so I texted him. He didn't answer. I called him a bit later and he said he was having truck issues and wouldn't be able to make it and rescheduled for the next day. At our appointed time the next day he was not here so I texted him, asking when he would be here. His response was, "I'm in East Orlando and have bigger projects then yours." So no, I won't be using him and would not recommend using him.

The irrigation crew is legit - Joshua has gone above and beyond multiple times for my yard, I’d highly recommend and will be doing business again.

I highly recommend this company. The previous owner used them for years and I was impressed with the beautiful yard. After two years under my ownership, I can confidently say that they are the best lawn company I have ever had.

I've have been a customer of Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care for 8-10? years and over the time span of two different landscape maintenance companies. Both landscapers tell me "they're the best" Throughout the year some areas of my lawn can get very stressed due to the inadequate irrigation system at my house and sun vs. shade coverage. They do an excellent job helping me with these areas! Jeff is currently helping me with a ligustrum tree (I don't use them for my shrub service, only their lawn service) that is looking pretty stressed and I have all the confidence he will make it better. They also have a terrific office staff. Responsive, knowledgeable, dependable and high quality. The name says it all!!

I was very impressed with my lawn technician and the ability to rescue a couple of our beautiful plants. The lawn is looking good for all the cold and dry weather we have had and I'm happy Quality First is on the job. Well done guys!!

They were doing a great job on my yard before they fired me. They had a hard time killing some dollar weed but over all great service. I pre-paid for a year in advance and they sent me my money back when they stopped servicing me.

I’ve been a customer of theirs for years. Yesterday their technician came out and I spoke to him in person and explained that I had been planting alternative groundcovers, like perennial peanut and frog fruit, in my lawn and asked if the weed treatments would target those (which I assumed they would). He assured me they would not be affected, but within 24 hours they are all dying after they had been doing so well until now. I’m furious that he would lie to my face and that I now have to spend the time and money to replace these plants.

    Terrible experience. Would not recommend.
I laid 5 pallets of sod and had Quality First come treat it to help out the new grass. They visited once a month for 7 months and they mainly sprayed for weed control. After 5 months the grass was in terrible shape and I asked the guy who visited what was going on and he didn't exactly know, so he had his two managers come see the yard. The two managers told me "I was cutting the yard too low and that it wasn't getting enough water". Which made me furious, because if true, this information should have been shared with me months ago so I could prevented my lawn from dying, not after it was already dead.

My two issues with their response.

One, I cut my yard the same height for the entire 7 months they visited so If I was cutting it too low, tell me on the first visit don't wait until after my yard is half dead to share that.

Two, I live in central Florida and it pours rain almost every afternoon, on top of me watering it. So there's no way the yard wasn't getting enough water. This felt like they just came up something to not blame themselves so them blamed me.

For another perspective, I had Trugreen come out to see the lawn, and they told me to cut down the watering because he believed it was getting too much water. Which is the exact opposite the Quality First said. Since Quality First stopped visiting my yard the backyard has improved and now looks impeccable.

I have been a loyal customer of Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care for approximately 8 years. Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care handled both my home and rental property. I never paid too close attention to the quality of the backyard's lawn for the rental property until I decided it was time to sell it. Once I did, it was clear that the backyard was not being serviced. I checked with my tenants and not once in the 2 years since they moved in did the Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care specialists go into the backyard. I can only assume that this lapse started with my original tenants. Given that I have been paying Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care for 8 years for a service that definitely has not been provided for the last two, I proposed Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care provide 2 years of free service. There response was we can give you 2 free treatments! Even if we assume that Quality First Lawn and Shrub Care provided the care for half of the 8 years, that still means I paid then $3,696.00 for doing a quarter of the contracted work! And their offer to "make things right" was worth $154.00.

This is my 1st negative review, I never do this to a business, but feel this needs to be said. I have been a customer for about 6 years, and no complaint until this year. I have called once a monh since May complaing of a fungus. Also, I called since that time to have my sprinklers ADJUSTED so they would not go into the street or hit the house. Since May, my yard has increasingly gotten worse with lots of dead spots, broad leaf weeds, continued fungus, and sedge grass; we had a newly sodded yard at the start of their service. The monthly service tech said it's a fungus, the sprinkler tech said it's a dry lawn, and quoted me close to $900 to replace heads and add heads. I finally called to request Jeff, the owner, come out when I was off work, so he could see the issues and look over the sprinklers; he came when I was at work and then did not have the courtesy to call me. Jeff had his assistant call and told me the grass is being cut too short. She also said Jeff was not concerned with the sprinklers and the quote at this time. Needless to say, the professional landscaper, who cuts my St Augustine at 4 inches, was not happy. I asked that Jeff call me, but there was no response. The guarantee to replace what they damage will never get fulfilled because Jeff won't take responsibility. JEFF YOU ARE FIRED!

Looks like they have terrible service. Additionally, the drivers have a complete disregard for road laws and the safety of others while driving. Was cutoff so badly, the guys chemicals were splashing out from the top of the truck. If they cannot worry about the safety of fellow citizens when they aren’t getting paid, imagine the misery of dissatisfaction after hiring them.

Terrible service, had my irrigation serviced and upgraded with them and it worked for 1 week without issues. The controller was not installed properly and am still having issues to this day with no response from the this company

Like other reviewers, our experience was good for several years, but in the past year we experienced a decline in service quality, as well as a big surge in negative attitude! In the end (late September) we gave up trying to persuade QF that the highly visible dead spots in our front lawn area might be their responsibility. Their protocol seems to be to blame the client, blame the sprinklers, blame the yard service and blame mother nature. We spoke to a few other homeowners in the 'hood and heard the same issues from them too! We changed service provider and hope we'll have a better experience.

So this is a new one. We are exploring getting a new lawn and shrub care service. We have had a service for the last 12 months but for the price we are paying I feel I am still removing too many dead shrubs. Our grass has improved, but I wanted to see if we could take it to the next level. We found Quality, and really liked that they were a family run business and provided services in the area already. When we called for a quote, they came out and were very clear about what they could and couldn’t do, and the pricing was good so it allowed room in our budget for things like top dressing etc. we told them we were going to start using them, but wanted to give fair notice to our other service provider and we wanted to add on a sprinkler service quote. Our thinking was combining the two would improve the care overall. It took almost, if not more than a month for a sprinkler technician to have a look. In the 20 minutes he was there he “forgot” I was sitting on the patio waiting for him. He knocked on the front door and left when I didn’t answer. When I figured out he disappeared, I called him and he said he didn’t remember where I was waiting. It was odd. He was going to quote on replacement but I was just looking for maintenance. He was going to send over a quote the next week. Today, out of the blue I got a call from Quality telling me they were going to decline providing service at our property. No reason given. It was so strange. Thank goodness I hadn’t given notice to our other provider or we would have been in trouble… But now that I have been reading recent reviews, perhaps things happen for a reason? IDK.

We used them for years and had great technicians up till this last one tha has done a HORRIBLE job over the past year or so. Not only does our year look horrible, so do our shrubs!! Weeds, fungus, sod web worm, they have been treating for mole crickets, which, we never had, up until this new technician took over. In addition to that, I have spoke with the Technician, in person, and told him how to access our backyard when he first took over our account. Explaining why he was to access it that way (so he is not pulling hundreds of feet of hose across our AC unit, pool equipment, and most importantly, across our limestone pool deck), he said he understood. Fast forward a few month, he disregarded that request, so I spoke with him in person again. A few months later, he disregarded that request, so I called the Office and spoke with someone, who told me they would talk to the Technician and make note on our file of the way to access our backyard. His next treatments he blatantly disregarded the instructions, got fertilizer all over our limestone deck, walkway, along with other stains from pulling their hose across our limestone pool deck. The Technicians are poorly trained and disrespectful of your property. Between the Horrible Lawn, Shrubs, disregard and disrespectful Technician - DONE, I fired them!! Side note, my neighbors fired them months beforehand for similar reasons!!

I have been using Quality First for several years and could not be happier. If you water and cut your grass as recommended they will help you obtain a stunning lush and green yard. The people complaining on here must not properly water or mow their yards. Scott and helpers maintain our yard as well as the yards on each side of us. We have no weeds and very think health grass. We also use Quality First to maintain our sprinkler system. I am very pleased and highly recommend this company.
