Constraction reviews in St. Petersburg, Florida

We had the pleasure of working with St. Pete Construction Group as a subcontractor, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Simon, the owner, made the entire process super easy — clear communication, organized planning, and smooth coordination every step of the way. He’s professional, straightforward, and great to work with. We’d be happy to work with Simon and his team again anytime and highly recommend St. Pete Construction Group to anyone looking for a reliable, top-quality contractor.

We had the pleasure to work with King Contracting on a very nice waterfront home remodel on Snell Isle. They are a great company to work with and do high quality work. We're looking forward to seeing them again in the future. As contractors ourselves we highly recommend hiring this company.

ATTENTION !!!
King replaced all my windows, hurricane, state of the art. One window had a manufacturer defect that led to extensive property damage. Dry wall, carpet, very expensive wall paper due to a discovered pin hole in lower frame. Extensive testing was conducted by KING to even locate the pin hole due to its elusive location and size. They never gave up.
Ron and Doug came to my home, immediately took full responsibility and promised to put the formal dining room back to its original condition. The manufacturer was contacted, a representative came to my home, admitted the defect and said I could have another window in 21 WEEKS !!!
At this point, King was off the hook for the repairs in my opinion. I never once had to ask KING to make good. Doug stated he would not leave me to deal with this alone. Doug and Ron organized to have the window removed, repaired, reinstalled, tested and accepted all in one day. Over the next several weeks, new sheet rock, hardwood floor, baseboard and a complete painting of entire room was conducted to perfection.
Having owned a healthcare business for 25 years I understand service at its best. The communication throughout was impeccable. I was assured from the first call that this issue would be approached honestly with my concerns being paramount. Even before the cause of the problem was identified, or the extent of the damaged was realized, I was assured of a successful outcome. Not once did I question Doug and Ron's sincerity and promise. This was a very unfortunate situation that was not Kings ultimate responsibility from my stand point. 13 other windows were flawlessly installed by their highly professional installation crew. This was a manufacturer defect which the manufacture did not stand behind. In addition, KING has ceased installing their windows as a protection from a repeated offense.
SUMMARY: Without hesitation, and with full confidence beyond the written contract, I would, and am, enthusiastically recommending KING CONSTRUCTION for any of your home build or repair needs. When a business owner, at substantial personal costs, without hesitation, steps up and does the right thing, and does it to perfection, you have a company that you can confidently trust.
The reason for the recommendation is simple. I was not just totally satisfied with the outcome, I was thoroughly impressed with the way KING and their representatives dealt with my concerned from day one.
Many companies I imagine can do the work well enough. However, we all know... when something goes sideways, that's when you find out the heart of a business. In this case.
KING CONSTRUCTION was the absolute best !!!

8/30/21 final update. Apologies for the delayed update (I actually started this on 8/23 but got busy). The rain caused a small delay on the final final completion of the project (about a week), but I was still able to make my schedule and appreciate the team working to allow me to do so. The house looks great and a few design changes made during the process improved the original plan.
What we learned - be realistic about your time line and don't hesitate to communicate your needs and concerns throughout the project. We would also suggest requesting a meeting with the project manager prior to signing. We think this would have helped with establishing a more accurate timeline and better communication from the get go.
The on site team, headed up by Doug (who has a good eye, great attention to detail and is an excellent communicator), were professional and easy to work with.
We did have a few small blips at the front end, but if Google allowed it, we would change our rating to 4.5.
8/1/21 update. Another great week and we are very close to completion. The team worked really hard and it is much appreciated. Everything is looking great and we are close enough that the dumpster has been removed. After tomorrow there should be only one small outstanding item.
7/21/21 update. Lots of progress made last week and continues this week. All porch floors done/waterproofed and everything is now being put back together, only better. Of course some unknowns have appeared here and there, but the team is finding creative and solid solutions. They are putting in every effort to meet our needed timeline, which we really appreciate.
7/12/21 Update - Project coming along Three out of four porches will have new flooring by end of day. Fourth being started.
Elsa put us a bit behind, but we're hoping to be done before any more hurricanes come through - goal being before end of the month. The weather this week looks as good as it gets this time of year - the afternoon occasional rain coming through, most days not projected till 5. Good week to make a lot of progress!
7/5/21 King Contracting is replacing the flooring on four porches at our house. The project got off to a slow start, but it is now progressing nicely. I understand delays happen, so I am comfortable giving them four stars at this point.
The team working on our project is professional and seem to be doing a solid job. Especially like that they notified our neighbors about the project and that they clean up at the end of the day. I'm hopeful that the project will now stay on track and that they will receive five stars when it is done🤞. Update to follow in the next few weeks. -
They are currently contracted to work on a balcony project within my complex. Not only have they hired workers that make me feel extremely uncomfortable as a single female, but the communication has been a continual pointing of fingers and no communication to those within my complex about when the project will be complete. My balcony has been in “construction” for over a month. I work from home and on the few occasions when there has actually been workers working on my balcony, they have made me feel uncomfortable. Mind you my balcony is very small and I , on my own, could probably accomplish this project in a week at most. I would not hire this company to do any work. I unfortunately had no say in the use of King Contracting but I do get a right to say that I do not feel safe with this company and their lack of communication for the safety within our complex.

Doug and his team were excellent! We completely renovated a 1980's home down to the studs. Doug was always involved with our ideas and made sure everything was done to perfection. His hard work won him builder of the year for our remodel. If you want your renovation/build to come out the way you were dreaming, you've got the right team with King Contracting.

King Contracting did a large outdoor addition to my house. A covered patio and new sliding doors and windows in the back. They also re-roofed my house. The workers are polite and cleaned up before they leave for the day. They are concerned for a quality job. I have dealt with other Builders, but King Contracting was the best. The Owner, Doug King, comes to the job site regularly to inspect the quality of the work being done. He has great supervisors, that constantly over see the progress. My job was about $100,000 and I was very satisfied and would use them again.

I have had three large-scale projects completed by King Contracting at our current home, and each has been done with our complete satisfaction! This has included moving and renovating the kitchen, complete remodels of both bathrooms, a room addition, moving the garage and installing a workroom and extra covered carport, and redoing the lanai. In addition to having great crew who work for King directly, he also has some of the best subcontractors possible. All are talented and skilled at what they do. We are very happy with our home -- and our work has won multiple awards and been featured in two different magazines.

King Contracting was FANTASTIC! We turned a bonus room into another bed and bath and they were professional, courteous and good with communication. He chased down the punch out list until everything was done right!
Would/will definitely hire again. Do yourself a favor and pick the right contractor the first time. Pick King Contracting. -
Great company to work with! Transparent, professional, and a great end product.

This group is great to work with. They always respond on a timely basis. Very knowledgeable, reliable, and they are results driven.

This is the best contractor I have worked with in Tampa Bay. They are responsive, on-time, budget conscious and provide quality work. I highly recommend C-Cubed Construction for commercial projects.

10/10 would recommend C-Cubed Construction! I worked with C-Cubed for the buildout of my salon Manegrove Salon. They were so knowledgeable through the entire process from planning and permits through construction and punch list. We finished our project a week early and under budget thanks to them. They helped bring my vision to life, and executed it better than I envisioned it!
Thank you, C-Cubed! -
Excellent team, better initiative

Fear of a HOA being able to snatch your home for an arbitrary reason has unfortunately made this a hard pass regardless of the price and possible benefits of homeownership.

Retired Army, architect degree, lived in many new builds... can honestly say this is the worst company I have dealt with and the worst built building I have seen. I walked away from the closing table but came back with the promise from their mgr that, "the builder stands behind his work." That has not been my experience; still waiting on repairs. Would love to be able to update my review with positivity but nothing from Namaste gives me any confidence they will complete the work without a court order.
