Just had a terrific experience with Travis at Custom Pool. I needed a new pool heater and called him for a quote. He gave me a quote over the phone and then called me back the following morning to follow up. I was going to use him anyway, but the follow up secured the job. He had the pool heater installed within 8 days of me placing the order. Him and another technician couldn't have been more professional when he came to the house. Even texted me on his way over for the ETA. By far the best experience I have ever had with a pool company. Highly recommend Travis.

I have read some of the other reviews and could not disagree more !! We have been using Custom Pool And Spa for 8 years and found them to be extremely competent and we are more then satisfied with there services. Any time we have had an issue they have resolved the problem in an efficient and cost saving manner. I feel so confident in this company that we recently contracted them to redo our entire pool (resurface) and install an absolutely beautiful Travertine marble deck and outdoor kitchen area. I have to say our yard has taken on an over the top look!! The owners took the time to point us in the right direction had extreme patience in showing us a multitude of products and
in the end there knowledge and vision has created a tropical paradise that we will enjoy for years to come. I am so confident in there work that if any one wants to see it ask Larry and Lori to bring you by : )

I'm really surprised by the previous reviews. I have used Custom Pool & Spa Mechanics for over 6 years and have found the staff and crew very professional and polite. They have always fixed our pool problems the first time on the day and within the time they promised. More importantly they have been reasonable on fees and always left the job clean with no clutter left behind unlike some other companies. This is a great company that always gets the job done. Special thanks to Scotty for trouble shooting our pool motor without just taking the easy route out and replacing it. It is nice to have someone who knows what he is doing. Turned out we had a loose wire contact. Thanks for saving us a couple hundred dollars today. It is really appreciated!

The owner Larry and his team do an excellent quality, professional job on time and on budget. I highly recommend them. Larry was there with his crew bright and early at the start of my pool renovation, oversaw the work as it progressed and made himself available to answer questions along the way. My sparkling new pool is absolutely beautiful. I am so glad that I went with this company and recommend it to everyone.

I used Custom Pool and Spa to maintain my pool while I was was working out of state for 3 months during the summer. I was very impressed with the attention to details the company offered. I was sent an email, a text message and pictures every time the technician visited my pool. The report also indicated the pool chemistry, chemicals added and any problems noted. I'd highly recomend this company to take care of your pool.

Super fast to come out and assess what your pool needs when you call in with a problem. Would highly recommend.

Ashley in the office is great! She has helped me in determining which pool heaters have the best warranties and Joe (in the field) helped me with the Model/BTU size which will be best to purchase given my plans to add a hot tub in the future. They were also able to help me with leak detection in recent months...were able to detect the problem and fix it expeditiously. I have dealt with several pool companies over the last 20 years & they are the best!

Larry,Rochelle and Ashley are a great team. We recently had our pool and deck resurfaced. It could not have gone better from material selection to scheduling to the finished product. They have a great operation. I can't comment on pool cleaning. 👍👍

I signed up with Custom Pool & Spa Mechanics before moving into my house. They are consistent with their cleaning schedule and knowledgeable as this is the first time I have owned a pool. My pool is almost 30 years old and the service team has been prompt with fixing pool leaks, replacing worn parts, and helping me understand pool ownership. Like many companies they are very busy but my conversations Shane, the service supervisor and Victor, our technician have helpful.

It was done last September, October. I wasn’t there to witness any of the work & I felt totally confident that they would do a great job. Larry , the owner had come by a few times before I left & assured me it would be complete when I returned. On my return although they had sent me lots of photos I was thrilled. Everything was perfect , clean, & exactly as they promised. All of Larry’s team are professional & go the extra mile on an ongoing basis. Let me start by saying that I usually do not leave reviews but I felt it necessary after the completion of the outstanding work that I just had done by Custom pool and spa mechanics.
Our pool has been serviced by them for over 10 years and our pool tech Tim has been with us from the beginning very knowledgeable and respectful, my pool was looking a bit dated so Tim set up an appointment with the company owner Larry Between Larry and his entire team they walked us thru our many options. We visited there showroom where we were shown a multitude of tiles and colors for our resurfacing project it was a great time, never rushed and they made it an enjoyable experience When we finally made our choices the folks at Custom Pools worked diligently to accommodate our schedule. They showed up on time and completely finished the project in the time frame we had discussed I can only account that having a company that does it all without subcontracting makes a big difference In closing i can say that we are NOT HAPPY with custom pool and spa we are ECSTATIC !!!! Thank you to the whole Custom Pool and Spa team for making us feel like we are on vacation every time we walk out into or backyard and pool

Not sure where to even start. Consistently forgot chlorine tablets. Consisitent turnover of pool personnel and the final straw was when they damaged our pool screen door. They did not use the hydraulic latch to keep the door open while entering and leaving the pool area with their cart. My husband and I sit right by the door as we work from home. The technician slammed his cart into the door causing the door to turn clockwise an 8th of an inch and no longer closes. This is unacceptable as we have dogs.
Kenny said he would send someone to fix it but we want the people who put the screen up to fix it as it's not even a year old yet. He then got very heated with my husband and said he's not fixing the door and was extremely rude. We canceled our service and will be sending them the bill.

We had our pool resurfaced by CPM. They did a great job and stayed on schedule. There was a leak develop, but Jose came out and corrected it. I recommend them.

Start up of my pool equipment seemed to go okay, but the weekly service was substandard, incomplete and poor. After three months, the pool was not properly chlorinated. The chlorination salt system was not even connected even though they were paid to get it going. The attitude of the person cleaning was unpleasant. When I had asked him a couple questions, he was rude and condescending towards me, and the pool was not cleaned adequately. I do not recommend this company in any capacity. I am glad I found a much better and more honest company to properly take care of my pool.

Beware! this company does not respond to warranty work! Had entire pool resurfaced with new tile and coping and also deck resurfaced in September 2021. $18,000 dollars later, Diamond bright pool coating has already chipped away in one area about 3 inch diameter and I can’t get Custom Pool to resolve it. Also beware if they try to sell you deck crack warranty thru PolyLift USA. My deck cracked and I still had to pay Custom Pool and spa over $1,800 to repair. PolyLift warranty only covers future applications of their product not the crack repair itself!

UPDATE: Confirmed with my pool cleaning company they maintain chemicals weekly (since 2018) and that delamination is occurring in several spots due to voids that were not removed by CPSM during the resurfacing. Even if chemicals were bad, the pool heater and pump would be damaged which they are in perfect working condition, and this does not cause delamination. The calcification buildup is due to obvious voids in the surface coating. No one from Custom Pools came out to ‘test’ the chemicals in my pool. My security cameras would have recorded this and alerted me. I was there when they came out and the gentleman said it wasn’t supposed to be chipping like that and would get back to me with a solution. Never got back after multiple calls to inquire about the status. This is the first time custom pools has ever mentioned anything about my pool chemicals after speaking to them multiple times over the last four months asking for resolution. BBB complaint has been filed.

Our pool was resurfaced by Custom Pool and Spa Mechanics, Stuart, Fla. While I was assured all workers were not contractors and worked for the company, they were not. Several employees claimed they were asked to help and left their trash and cigarette butts lying in the yard. This is what occurred: The tile guy is fabulous. The pool resurfacing - they broke the light and rigged it w this plastic instead of fixing it the correct way. The resurface workers scratched tile and Rachel would not fix the scratched tiles or have the owner call us back after requesting several times for a phone call to fix the issue, as well as emails. It is very disturbing to pay $15,000 for pool resurfacing and they wouldn’t fix their mistakes. Now we are stuck getting it fixed ourselves and have to look at scratched step tiles everyday. You can see the plastic in the picture where they rigged behind the light because they failed to make the correct attachment for the light to sit in. On 5/27, the plastic fell out of the light- this is how we found out they rigged it instead of correcting it properly. The spa is the same issue. They got a 2 star for not following through and correcting their mistakes. It is pretty sad the owner would not call us either!! They did fix their mistakes when the grout fell out. The emails were never addressed via email to fix the scratched tiles. A phone conversation from Rachel stating they were not fixing the scratched tiles. Be Aware!!!

We had custom Pool & Spa Mechanics do renovations on the pool of a new house we purchased recently. This is the second time that we have used them and we’re 100% happy again!!!
Larry, the owner, has gone above and beyond to make the renovation perfect and has also come out many times during the process to check on the crew and the work they’re doing . His crew has been amazing and worked so hard to get the job done quickly. The workers also clean up after themselves daily, which I truly appreciate. If anyone is looking for a reliable pool company to do renovations, I highly recommend Custom Pool and Spa mechanics. You will not be disappointed.
I posted some pictures during the process and will post an update when they are completely finished.

Custom Pool and Spa Mechanics did a outstanding job. From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. They arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and completed the work efficiently. It's hard to find service companies you can truly trust, but this is definitely one of them, Our pool and spa are running perfectly and we couldn't be happier with the results. We highly recommend them to anyone needing pool or spa service.
