They immediately responded when a tree fell on our roof and into our bedroom. They put plywood and a tarp over the hole and cleaned up all the mess in the bedroom, brought in huge fans and dehumidifiers, and put plastic over the hole in the ceiling. Afterwards, Michael was our work supervisor. All the repair work was done beautifully.

Our insurance company took the Paul Davis bid since it was the lowest. I tried to go with another company, but the price was too good for the insurance company. It took MONTHS to get our repair completed. They would come in and do some stuff, then disappear for 15 days. This was how it went for 12 months!! The repairs were not to our satisfaction, we will need to hire someone to repaint the bedroom and bathroom, and get the ceilings painted since he claims they were but you can see the repair is a different color. Plus, the main guy wouldn't address me when I e-mailed him; he replied like the e-mail was from my husband. I will NEVER let them in our home again!! I highly recommend you RUN away from this company. They left us in disarray for so long and we had to tell friends and family they couldn't stay at our house when they wanted to visit. Awful service, rude workers, insurance grab. UPDATE:Since they used flat white paint on the ceiling corners to clean up their paint job on the walls and did not paint the ceiling, we have MOLD growing in all the peaks. Flat paint absorbs moisture. Started happening 6 months after they "finished". Owner wouldn't even go in the bathroom to see what we were talking about the last time he was here.

The Restoration side of the house is super well organized, runs smoothly, and has a set of good skilled workers who work very hard and do good work (drywall, wow), plus a truly excellent supervisor who organizes it all, communicates well, and follows up consistently. Thank you!

The company was very easy to work with during a stressful time. I gave them a rating of 9 out of 10 because they told us our home was ready to be moved back into even though they had failed to have their cleaning crew come in and do a deep clean of the home before all the furniture had been moved back into place. The cleaning crew was sent in the next day and did a very good job of cleaning considering the circumstances.

Paul Davis was great to work with. They were able to streamline the process of rebuilding. They got my house up and in working order with no headache. My contact, Mike Scott, was responsive and professional. He coordinated with me while I was out of state and managed to turn the burnt husk off my house into a masterpiece. They are awesome and I’d totally work with them again.

I don't think they're a good company if you're doing a renovation voluntarily. As the name implies, they specialize in Restoration, so I get the impression that they prioritize calls for damage restoration. In my case, I did have long term, slow water damage that wasn't affecting much, in a bathroom that I had long been planning to remodel anyway. They were in fact the lowest bid. I put in an insurance claim, which went through, but I did ask them to remodel the entire bathroom while they were at it. Other bids quoted in the range of 2-4 weeks to complete, Paul Davis initially claimed the same. But, it took around *48* weeks in the end. As others reported, workers rarely showed up unless I called in asking for an update. Fortunately when they did show, they got a lot done and did a quality job, except for the paint that seems to chip off easily (they have a sole supplier contract with Sherman Williams, this may be the constant across reviews), but the tiling, fixture installation, everything else is beautiful. They were bad about leading me through the process, didn't inform me of the next step unless I asked, I wasn't sure when I should pick out tile or a sink or what order the steps should go. Project planning and managing expectations seemed to be their weak suits. They did get called off to emergencies frequently, and as others with 5 star reviews have pointed out, when they had real damage, Paul Davis was their hero. I think as a more generic remodel, I was lowest priority for them, which is understandable, but I wish that were clearer up front. I was able to amend the contract to add a few small extra items to my job, but that should've extended a 4 week job to 6, nowhere near what would get to 48. If you had a disaster and insurance insisted you take Paul Davis, you are probably in good hands, but be aggressive about calling your project manager, requesting updates and suggestions on next steps, and scheduling the next work day.

This contractor made my restoration easy and smooth. They were timely, competent and thorough. The workman were very accommodating and professional. If I had a request or an issue , it was addressed immediately. Thank you!

One year ago we had a water leak that ruined 90 percent of the first floor of our home. Paul Davis Restoration arrived to our house within an hour of our call for help. Miles and his team took care of the water clean up, dry out, demo work and restoration. The Paul Davis team treated our home and family with care and respect throughout the entire process. Big tree came down on our house in a storm in the evening. I started looking for help at 8 in the morning, and by 8 that evening the tree had been removed, the boarding/tarping complete, and water mitigation had begun. The final restoration has been top notch, and the owners and project managers take a personal interest. They treated us well, and we are totally satisfied with their work. Top marks.

OMG !!! I can’t say enough good things about PaulDavis Restoration Company. We recently had an appliance malfunction late @ night which caused a lot of water in our home. The next day they came to examine the exact location of the damage, via moisture meters, then placing 2 large dehumidifiers & 2 large powerful fans the same day, they are very thorough, polite & a tight working crew. I know we will def call on them again if needed. THANK SO MUCH to the owner & the team 😃

Have had two major contacts with this firm due to storm damage/tree on roof. Both times have experienced excellent service with attention to detail and superb problem solving. Jeff Thiele has been project manager for both projects and has found reliable and quality subcontractors and has consistently overseen each component of these projects very regularly and carefully. Gives the client good information, and is good about getting feedback from the client about choices that can be made along the way.
Also solid warranty for work done with no doubt that it will be honored.

Unfortunately I had a tree strike on my house due to hurricane Idalia but fortunately for me I found Paul Davis Restoration of Tallahassee. Project Manager Mike Scott went above and beyond. He communicated with me throughout the entire process. His team was top notch and I couldn’t be happier with the work that was completed. They were professional, courteous and conscientious. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paul Davis Restoration of Tallahassee. Our property was hit by a tornado on Friday morning, May 10, 2024. We waited in vain for a tree service we have used before to remove a tree from our roof and cover holes before more rain arrived. On Sunday morning, Alan Tucker and a fabulous crew from Paul Davis Restoration were helping our neighbor and Alan offered to help us too. In no time, Miles, the owner, had us on his crew's schedule. Before the end of the day, the tree was removed, the holes were patched, and the roof was tarped. Today, Monday, it's raining again. Without these guys, our home would be ruined. We are so grateful to Miles, Alan, and the wonderful crew who worked so hard and did such a fabulous
job - and they're still working to clean up the storm debris. If we need restoration of any kind in the future, this is the only company we will call.

Paul Davis did a great job getting our home repaired following a burst pipe. The communication I had with Lydia was always timely and professional. Lydia recognized what a stressful time we were having (getting our home repaired over Christmas along with a family member having surgery). Paul Davis is an extraordinary team of professionals totally dedicated to excellence in restoring a home following a catastrophic loss. In our case, it was significant water damage necessitating the replacement of about 2000 square feet of wood flooring.

They took charge of every aspect from initial response to coordinating every detail including packout and storage of our household goods, coordinating with flooring subcontractor, to furniture move in and unpacking over 100 boxes of household items. We have moved cross-country at least 10 times and never experienced the service and attention to detail the Paul Davis team provided.
