Howkins has been doing our landscaping for nearly 25 years. Everything they design, install and maintain is beautiful, done in a timely manner and very reasonable. We also have four properties that they maintain and design. We couldn't be happier with them.

We had an outstanding experience with Howkins! Not only were they on time, but they also were able to source all the materials, listen to our feedback, propose innovative solutions and work with what we had. We coud not be happier with the way everything turned out. Their crew truly knows the meaning of teamwork, they are so syncronized and efficient, we cannot believe how we went from a hill with no deck to a fenced yard complete with deck, and areas to play, and a firepit. I'm so glad we were able to get in their calendar. Would hire them again in a second, and that's not something that you can say about many crews.

I have worked with Howkins on several projects and have been beyond pleased every time. They are very knowledgeable about what will successfully grow in different places and, in the one instance I had a tree fail to thrive, immediately replaced it. The team arrives exactly when they say they will and I've never seen landscapers which such attention to detail. I am fairly certain they used nail scissors to trim my boxwoods. ;-) We are planning another big project for next spring and Howkins will be my only call.

Howkins did an excellent job on a hardscaping project including a retaining wall, fence, french drain, and walkways. Their estimate was accurate and highly competitive, work was completed efficiently, and they were more than willing to make adjustments we requested along the way. Very easy to work with. I'd use them again and highly recommend this team!

Kate, Steven, and crew are all wonderful to work with. I met Howkins team on a neighbor's job site several years ago (still the same crew btw :), and we are so proud to have their beautiful work on our property... Howkins built several charming fences for us and created an amazing paver path system to our front door. People literally stop walking to tell us how much they love the yard now.

We are very pleased with the new front yard design and installation by Howkins Landscape and Design. Kate listened carefully to the ideas I had come up with and made very good suggestions as to how to make the ideas come alive. The work crew was meticulous with the stone work and installation of the new fence in addition to the planting and obviously took great pride in their work.

We were so thrilled with the work done by Howkins this past year! They transformed and shaped our front yard beautifully, while keeping it relatively low maintenance for us and fitting with the style/feel of our home. Kate came out immediately and walked the property, and gave us some really good ideas/thoughts without overdoing it like some other landscape services we had talked to. Very friendly and professional, family run business. We continue to use them for routine monthly maintenance, and also had them install a french drain which we are very happy with. We're so pleased with the excellent service and plan to have them do some landscaping in the back once we finish some renovations!

Great experience! Working with Kate and her team was a joy. I had a general idea of what I wanted to do with my yard with new sod, shrubs, a rock walkway, and lattice around my deck, but when Kate came to look at my yard, she had a lot of great ideas that we ended up using. The design she came up with was phenomenal, and the end product was even better. The price was reasonable and within our budget, Kate was always responsive by answering my calls, the workers were always on time, and I give top them top marks for quality. I am so happy that I now have a yard that I can enjoy with my family and friends.

We are very pleased with Howkins Landscape and Design and the transformation they did for our small in-town backyard. Kate was great at helping us come up with a nice design, and she was very hands-on helping us navigate the recent extreme shortage of building materials. The crew that did our project was wonderful! They adapted to things that had to be figured out as the project progressed. They impacted us as little as possible during the work, left things in great shape every evening, and did a great clean-up when the work was finished. The very few minor fixes that we requested were addressed quickly and completely! We would highly recommend Howkins for your projects!

Howkins Landscape did an incredible job on our backyard! We had failed at growing grass and had some rough drainage issues. They came out and fixed all of the problems in unbelievable time. The amount of work the team did in 90degree heat over 5 days blew us away. Always professional and didn’t leave a single thing undone. They even went above and beyond and mowed our front lawn on the way out as our mower had just bit the dust. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks and hope to use them again in the future for my front yard.

We had major water drainage issues. Howkins solved the issue (currently raining and there is not a puddle or crazy amounts of water spilling into neighbor's yard). We also had a very steep slope from back patio to back yard that they resolved beautifully. They responded to all my inquiries quicker than expected. Had an all over wonderful experience with this company and the people.

Howkins Landscape and Design did a great job on our front and back yard landscaping project. We love the creativity that Kate used to design the project and they performed on time and on budget. Howkins not only solved our drainage problems but they created beautiful landscaping which is loved by us and our neighbors. The whole Howkins crew were responsive and professional. Kate and her husband Steve did an incredible job transforming our backyard. We had a few ideas of what we wanted and had a number of landscape companies evaluate, consult and estimate. Kate came in, took our rough draft and designed a final product that was on budget and far exceeded our expectations. Steve is the construction side of the team and he and his talented crew did a great job executing Kate’s design. Like any big project, there were a number of items that needed to be finalized during the actual execution of the job, this is where Steve and his crew really shined. When a detail was found that needed additional considerations, they immediately reached out, and not only offered solutions but also listened to any suggestions we might have to offer. Though I realize that there is no way we alone could of designed, let alone built such a beautiful space, we truly feIt that the build was a collaboration, which for us is an important factor for any home project. I could say a lot more but I believe the final product speaks for itself.

I will ALWAYS use and recommend Howkins landscaping. They check ALL the boxes. Kate shows up on time, gets you an estimate in no time flat, is fair about prices and delivers a beautiful product. She's a pro in every sense. Isaiahz, the lead forman for our crew is a perfectionist in the best possible way and makes everything look amazing. He custom builds and designs everything from gates to fences to outdoor grilling tables. I've never seen an operation like theirs, it's a sight to behold and when they leave, your yard, house, property, whatever, will look amazing and have the neighbors talking.
