We have been using Lawnstarter for multiple years to service a vacant lot that we own as an investment property. My "pro" has shown up on a biweekly basis and sent me a notification when he/she finishes with the yard. To date, we have paid over $1000 for them to assist.

I visited the property today and it looks like a cornfield. They have been lying to me for at least six months about completing the work, which equates to $600.

When I called their Help Desk and sent pictures, they agreed that the "pro" had not visited the site for a long time, but stated that they could only compensate us for the last missed service.

I highly suggest not using this service. They are liars.

Jason has attention to detail, cares about his work and it shows in the great result! I love that Jason with LawnStarter, is responsive, on time, and ensures that even the hedge line on my front yard lawn is perfectly straight. I highly recommend LawnStarter. I have hired a few different landscaping companies over the years and am highly pleased with their services. They have very professional pros who do a wonderful job. Also very good customer service. Fair pricing, and great work! My lawn looks great every time.

I highly recommend LawnStarter for your lawn needs. It was a lifesaver once I got pregnant and couldn’t mow my lawn anymore. It’s affordable, easy to use, and the company that came to mow my lawn was professional, always on time, and did a great job!

Logan came out to trim the tree in our front yard and did a great job. It hadn’t been trimmed in years, but now it looks great. He chopped the branches up afterwards and piled them up for bulk trash. Great value and great service.

Do NOT USE. They get your card information and just charge charge charge. Impossible to cancel. You have to jump through hoops. Got charged for services not completed. They sent pictures of a wrong property to show "completed" don't get swindled like we did with the 1st cute for $19. They will find some what to make the charge $97. Scams.

LawnStarter was the first to respond to my request in almost moments of selecting them. They gave me great options and an even better value for my first mow. They showed up on time, did an excellent job and my yard has never looked better! Will definitely be using them moving forward! Highly recommend! My lawn looks awesome and my dog is so happy to be running around my yard!

Love their service!! Keeps my yard looking goo, not a single complaint from me! Would 10/10 recommend this service to my friends family and anyone needing the help with yard work.

Terrible experience. The lawn service provider stated that they had mowed the lawn for several months, Which was not true. This company does not manage their subcontractors properly. I would look for service elsewhere.

Awesome service! I've been using this company the last couple of weeks due to mechanical issues with my lawn mower. I'm very happy that the ditch looks so much better too.

DO NOT HIRE THEM - PLEASE READ

My wife and I were scouting out places and she actually hired this company from her account on Thumbtack. We needed someone after our last Lawncare person moved away.
I was excited she found someone, however that excitement quickly went away, because each time they cut the law it progressively got worse and worse. After three times of working with this company I decided to cancel their service. Their system and workers vary and is not as quality as they present themselves to be.
They send a different crew each time, not the guy in the photo, and each crew works differently and not up to the same standard of the one before.
This last crew cut my grass with equipment that seemed faulty because it kept starting and stopping, they didn’t cut evenly and left parts of my grass higher than others or uncut all together, and they did not edge the yard. They also left the grass clippings and did not blow the clippings away. So I had grass clippings in my mulch, flowerbed, on my car, my porch, and in the street by my mailbox. Not the best when we have a strict HOA.
The backyard and side yard was pretty much the same, especially near my back door.
Needless to say I was not pleased with their service and I would say to anyone “hire at your own risk” because they are not as quality as they claim to be.

I can’t say enough good things about Brinson! He consistently goes above and beyond to keep my lawn looking flawless. He’s detail-oriented, punctual, and takes genuine pride in his work. Whether it’s edging, mowing, or tackling unexpected issues, Brinson handles it with professionalism and a smile. He doesn’t just “do the job” — he makes sure everything is perfect before he leaves. My yard has never looked better thanks to his dedication.

I typically don’t write reviews, however, my lawn technician Tony went above and beyond to make my yard absolutely beautiful! His professionalism, communication, attention to detail is definitely top-tier! Tony Made this experience seamless and positive! I could go on and on about all of the wonderful attributes however I will keep it short and sweet. Hiring lawnstarters and being serviced by Tony was the best decision I’ve made for my lawn care needs.

I had to give one star ok I'm a new customer I'm in the union city area I started my account with lawn service a few days ago my appointment was for today this man had me waiting all day just to tell me at the time of him supposedly to be arriving to me just to send me a email where he canceled this is just horrible horrible I was a new client this just terrible put in my bind anyone if u new do not use this service oh yes I do my reviews just horrible. If you are new to community and really need your lawn service done do not I repeat do not use this service. Hi its a New year 2026 I git a call from Ms.Cess today who finally have corrected the problem for me I truly appreciate that because at the time I was in a bad predicament its all toiken care of I will re sign back up in the summer with Lawnstarter thank you again Ms.Cess

Great reliable company! I have used them for a couple months now, I get my lawn cut twice a month. I have yet to have one complaint. My yard always looks great. Would highly recommend using them!

Daniel is so reliable and goes above and beyond each time he is here. He is so kind, friendly and helpful that he even replanted a bush for me that was damaged in the tornado. He does a great job with the lawn and edging, and leaves my walkways, driveway and road access spotless. I highly recommend Lawnstater and especially Daniel.

IF I could give a 0, I would. I cannot explain the headache and damage the the Lawnstarter crews have done to my pristine lawn in the one month of taking over my mowing. Not only has almost every scheduled job been cancelled and rescheduled at the end of the day in which they were supposed to show up, I have YET to have a crew do professional quality work. A 10 year old could cut my lawn better. I came home to find failure to cut the whole property, failure to cut evenly, they burned my lawn in areas, other areas were scalped, left uneven row/squares, left it super overgrown in other spots, clumpy and/or didn't even cut the backyard which now looks like a jungle. And when I told them they had to bag it to remove all the dead grass due to their failure to cut in a timely or professional manner, the crew that showed up said they couldn't because it was too long. ??!?!?!? You cannot speak to the crew directly, the company tries to keep all communication through email or the app, both of which suck. I've only had one manager, Kim, who actually tried to be helpful and I was able to talk to one time on the phone but the crew that showed up again did a half-butt job. Lawnstarter keeps rescheduling someone to come fix my property that THEY damaged while days and days go by and my lawn gets further out of control. All I asked is for my lawn to be maintained in the super clean condition I left it in and now, after years of maintaining, fertilizing, spraying and de-thatching... they have destroyed what was green, plush grass in one month. I have given them chance after chance to just put my lawn back in to the shape it was when I left it and every crew fails. Now, I have a house going on the market with a crappy lawn versus the amazing grass I had!!!!

Gabriel did an outstanding job on my lawn! He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and paid close attention to every detail. The grass is evenly cut, the edges are sharp, and the yard looks so much cleaner and refreshed. I really appreciate his professionalism, reliability, and the care he put into the work. It’s rare to find someone so dependable, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing quality lawn care!

I have been using LawnStarter for almost a month now and each time they arrive on schedule, communicate with me before and after, and get my lawn in great shape in minimal time! Very happy with their services. I have never used a lawn mowing service but would be hard to switch after using them.
