The Stats are for Google Maps , they insisted I write Review for getting directions for this place. I received various and great directions to getting her from My Home. I haven't visited yet to write review. The photos are clear, colorful and inviting, I will go visit it soon , especially since it's Local 😔

I was disappointed. I expected flowers .no maps were available. Office was closed. They could have had a map posted with trails information outside the office that we could take a picture. It is a perfect place for dogs in the summer and extremely disappointed that dogs were not allowed. There were no cultivated gardens like botanical gardens and so dogs could have enjoyed that shady walk.

Went there to visit with the dog, was greeted by no dog signs. I am disappointed.

Decatur’s Woodlands Garden comprise a 3.2-hectare public park that is a key urban sanctuary for the residents of the city.

The largely wooded land contains more than 30 species of tree and a wide range of plants native to the region.

The brainchild of Chet and Gene Morse, the area where the park stands was donated to the city in the early 2000s to ensure its permanent protection from construction.

Their forethought in giving their gardens to the public ensure there is a place for plants from the Georgia Piedmont biosphere at the very heart of the city.

Absolute lovely and pristine place to go for a stroll and enjoy peaceful scenery, beautiful birds, and flowers.

Great place to connect to nature. One of the best oases in the city and filled with beautiful native species from our region.

Beautiful place, even though many plants haven't bloomed yet still was a good day at the garden.

Went the other day w grand for the first time. Lovely place! Nice little walking paths, neat 'stick house' where some other kids were playing, and we made some new friends 🧡!

Huge discovery today, went to hear live music free in the Garden Pavilion at the Woodlands Garden in Decatur. This is Seven acres of donated woodlands 20+ years ago by Chet and Gene Morse. Located on the corner of Scott Boulevard and Clairemont Avenue, a true delight. Many Champion Trees and the largest Bigleaf Magnolia I’ve ever seen. If you have company in town and want a nice, pleasant, ADA friendly walk, I highly recommend this garden. Free parking and free admission. NOTE: this is a dog free park so leave your pup at home. A true secret gem in Decatur/Atlanta area. If you want a beautiful drive back to Marietta or 75/85, take Scott Blvd. west which turns into Ponce de Leon Avenue. This is a four laned road that shows you some of the most beautiful homes in Decatur/Atlanta. Volunteer opportunities on Wednesday mornings 9 a.m.

Beautiful garden. Very well maintained. Lots of shade. Bring bug repellent with you. It's free but I encourage a donation.

Really enjoyed the shady, beginner-friendly walking trail. The Fairies in the Garden event going on for October was precious and made our walk extra magical. Don’t miss the live music in the pavilion going on during the weekends.

Not much may be blooming in early February but the Camélia grove was beautiful! Sleepy bees warming up on leaves. The birds were certainly out, and with a birding area with an ID chart and various feeling stations I felt like I could sit there for hours watching them.

Trails are gently sloped and the map gives a good idea of what is paved and what is wood chips. In the winter I would highly recommend for nature lovers who want a little peace and can find the joy in little things. I'm sure other seasons are a whole other situation (:

Have driven through this area a thousand times and never knew this was here until today. Attended a free tour of the grounds and it's absolutely beautiful...even in winter! Such a great place to walk and enjoy the native plantings, flowers (amazing camellia garden!) and some really amazing champion trees. Annie is the event coordinator at Woodlands and she gave us a lovely tour, along with some of their great volunteers. Will absolutely be back and highly recommend this hidden gem 💎

Woodland Gardens Plant Sale is fantastic! The prices are very affordable, and they offer such a wide variety of plants to choose from. I really appreciated how clear and visible the plant information signs were, which made it easy to learn more about each option. The volunteers were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to answer questions with a smile. They even thoughtfully provided insect repellent for anyone who needed it, which shows how much they care about visitors’ comfort. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

We went for Fairies in the garden and it was splendid! They had a great walking trail with a bunch of fairy houses and communities throughout. It was a magical experience for the kids and adults alike.

I had the opportunity to photograph a couple's wedding portraits in the Spring of 2025 and the grounds were amazing! My couple and I had a great experience with many opportunities to take photos throughout the space. I'll be sure to recommend this space for future photography clients!

I went there this morning 🌄 to purchase mulch and garden lime. The associate who helped me was very, very nice.

Danielle in pharmacy went beyond the call pf duty to assist me with a much needed prescription.

I couldn't have asked for a better partner in Lane and his team at Courtland. Lance completely captured and expanded upon the vision we had for renovating our backyard, pivoting when needed and exceeding our expectations. They were incredibly attentive to details, making corrections when necessary along the way, and ensuring that the result was perfectly executed. I have never loved my backyard and patio more, and it has been more enjoyable than ever. Lance and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them for any landscaping project.
