horrible at communication. very good at saying they are going to do one thing and not doing it. thankfully we moved on to another company after not hearing back from them for 3 weeks, because once they did respond they still had not done what they promised. you would think when we are trying to get a quote and spend money with them that they would have better customer service.

Unfortunately our builder dug a huge whole in our backyard and dumped a lot of tree trunks in it back in the 90s when it was still legal. This led to a huge sinkhole in our backyard. While we were at it we decided to tackle erosion issues as well. He came up with a plan to dig out the sinkhole and convert it into an underground retention pond along with regrading our entire backyard and putting in a circle driveway with pervious pavers and converting the original driveway to one with pervious pavers. He designed all the plants for the front, side and back yards according to our preferences. and installed a sprinkler system. The project took forever to get through County approvals due to the pandemic. Then there was lots of rain in April (as expected) which delayed things but he got things done as quickly as expected given the rain issues. He came up with some great ideas such as leaf cleanouts in out downspouts and routing all the downspouts to the "retention pond" in the back yard. Definitely a once in a lifetime project but it turned out beautifully.

As a residential architect, I use Courtland to develop site plans, water quality, and tree conservation plans for my projects. They are professional and communicative, and they execute their design work on a timely basis and for a reasonable fee.

I have worked with Courtland LA & Construction on numerous projects over several years and have always found them to be very professional and very creative. From design concepts to installation, they always provide quality workmanship with quality material and always stand behind their work. Lance came to my home for an initial consultation with a GC we were considering hiring back in January 2024. We discussed reconnecting once we were ready to roll. We received our pool permit and were ready to get rolling on the landscape architect process. I have made several attempts, over the past couple months, via text and phone calls to have a follow-up conversation with Lance, to no avail. He has neither answered nor responded. I am disappointed by the lack of any response or follow up and believe it to be extremely unprofessional.

This company is amazing! We had previously contracted a pool company that touted that they were the largest in Georgia. After a few months we never heard from them. We contacted Courtland and the ship was set right! The permitting was flawless and we had a beautiful outdoor oasis within months. They were professional and kept us abreast at every step. Courtland Landscaping gave us the Oasis of our dreams--and during a pandemic! From design to installation through unexpected challenges, Lance and his team provided A plus service. The subcontractors were professional, clean, efficient, and actually a joy to watch them work as our dreams unfolded. If you are considering a pool installation I highly recommend using a landscape architect to oversee the process. We had significant drainage issues before and they resolved this completely. Even when we needed a little bit more drainage solutions, they were able to modify the plan and make it happen.

I can't recommend Lance and the team enough! They helped us seamlessly budget, design, and install a full residential landscape plan in June 2024. I appreciated their friendliness, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. Courtland has been great about following up every few months to make sure things are going well. They even swapped out a few plantings that weren't doing so hot at no cost a year later. Hard to find that kind of integrity. I would use Courtland Landscape Architecture again without reservations.
