It was an absolute pleasure using Mr. Dutra’s services. He is extremely knowledgeable and very good at what he does. Our garden and patio look gorgeous, thanks to him! He is very professional, and diligently performs all his tasks to the best of his ability. We are very impressed by his attention to detail, vastness of knowledge and overall outcome of the jobs he has performed for us. I strongly recommend him for all your gardening and landscaping needs without any reservations.

We had a significant portion of our yard leveled for a vegetable and fruit garden, with landscaping and other decorative features included such as stone wall, fence, and various plants. The communication was professional and readily available throughout the whole process. I was also very appreciative that a month or two after the work was completed, someone came back to uncover a sewer clean out which had accidentally been covered during the process and unnoticed by us. The willingness to accommodate a minor request after the work was completed shows a greater level of care and consideration than you might normally come across. I believe they did an excellent job and would certainly keep them in mind for any future projects.

Beto and his team are the best! Everything was planned, organized, and completed to perfection. Great communication regarding plan, dates, and changes. Amazing company to work with and worth every penny. We are so happy with our outdoor space!

Beto and team did a really great job in elevating the landscaping in both the front and back of our house. We used a combination of hardscape and landscape and are really pleased with the outcome. Beto is extremely knowledgable about all things landscape design and made sure we put the right plants in the right places, while moving and replanting some of the wrong plants we had from our original design where we did not use him.

Beto and company will continue to be part of our plan moving forward!

Beto and his team are true experts and professionals. He turned our backyard into a scrubby, overgrown jungle into our vision of a southern style English garden! Beto’s depth of knowledge on plantings has ensured our yard is not only all native varieties, but no matter the season there is always something beautiful blooming. Even now in the dead of January- our paper bush is just gorgeous. Even better yet our yard fits our need for being low maintenance. The install was seamless. Thoughtfully designed, professionally installed, expert understanding of plant options and site needs… Beto and his team were able to turn a very shaded unused side area (aka a mud pit) into a delightful private garden. His design also improved accessibility to the front of the home. By incorporating existing materials from the yard he was able to enhance the natural look of the new installation. Beto was focused on ensuring the area was accessible, beautiful, easy to maintain, and fit the vision and needs of the user while integrating seamlessly with existing landscaping. We were very pleased.

Designed Landscapes landscaped our front and back yards about 3 years ago. The owner, Beto Dutra, was extremely knowledgeable about which plants and trees would thrive in various locations in our yard and leveraged his ecology background to inform us what would work best. I consider his approach very practical and grounded in a deep knowledge of what will be successful. He really listened to what we wanted and even swapped out some of our plants/trees when we decided we wanted to make a change. He also was diligent about following up to make sure that the plantings did well. He also worked with a talented contractor to install a patio and do some stone work in our backyard. We had quotes from a few other landscape designer/architects, and I am relieved that we chose Designed Landscapes. I have really enjoyed watching our yard evolve as our plantings filled in. Our experience with Beto was great in every way. We are so used to looking over our shoulder with any service provider because we're worried if they are competent, doing things right etc. We were not worried throughout our job because we felt Beto was at least as concerned about the job being done correctly as we were and that he knew what he was doing. Beto really helped with the design of the project as well as the construction side.

Berto did a redo of our landscaping several years ago. We love the design and the final product. He was a pleasure to deal with and did the work at a reasonable price. He gets down and dirty and personally supervises and helps his people do the work. He is a great guy and brought his lovely wife and daughters to the job a couple of times.

Beto is absolutely the best! He’s so knowledgeable and really cares about his work. Not only has he made our yard beautiful but he’s helped me in my gardening journey. Be careful because if you use Beto once, you’ll use him over and over to create more beauty year after year. His prices are reasonable and all his crews have been exceptional. If you can’t tell, I’m a repeat customer who maybe has a plant addiction now thanks to Beto. He’s thoughtful about his landscape design so spring through late fall we always have something blooming. Five years ago Beto and his crew drew up plans for our entire backyard based on our preferences—but also on what he knew would thrive. His crew worked fast! Out of all the plants that were installed, only one didn’t survive- which he promptly replaced. The yard has aged well with minimal maintenance. Highly recommend!
