Our first project was a hardscape of flagstone connecting our two outdoor living areas and stone steps leading to our lake path. Half way through, the project leader realized there wasn't going to be enough flagstone to complete the area we wanted covered. We agreed to the expanded scope in real time, Anthony's crew made an immediate trip to Site One, picked up the needed flagstones (another pallet's worth) and wrapped up the same day.

We just completed our second project with Russo Landscapes (some Emerald Zoysia sod) and it was equally amazing. Crew arrived right on schedule; prepped, laid, rolled/compacted, and trimmed the entire job in less than 5 hours. Amazing efficiency and in 93 degree temps. The cleanup was impeccable. Like they were never here!

I like Russo, he seems like a good person. To his credit within a few weeks of drain installation, he made corrections to the then known bad workmanship of his crew as they installed backyard drainage. He was very professional. Many in my neighborhood are happy with his work and still stand by him.

However, after a couple of years while living with his front door design, I am still overrun by "hidden" poor workmanship issues when landscape fabric and fresh dirt was NOT placed under and around the flagstones as specified. (I did not know until a year after installation when I started digging between the big stones and found pieces of sod were used to level the big stones). Guess what happens when grass roots are "planted" between big unliftable stones. The following year it turns green and wild.

Plus his chosen design of narrow "edging" of a trench and expensive stones used as a border were not sufficient to hold back the grass. So yes, the Zoysia grass is out of control because no barriers were installed to prevent the nightmare. Keep in mind that over this time I have fought to keep the grass at bay with frequent edging, pulling, chemicals, and digging it up. But nature wins without continued weekly or bi-weekly professional intervention with this design.

Why am I writing now? I am looking for a wise and knowledgable landscape company to do work in my backyard. I may include a re-do of the front to have a better fix for the Zoysia blob. A lot of money wasted on an upsell design.

I have had a great experience with Russo Landscapes. They redid my landscaping in the front yard and did an excellent job. They removed all of the previous landscaping, installed irrigation, and even cut down a very large tree.
I also use them for my monthly lawn maintenance, they do event everything.
I think what makes a company great is how they handle problems. My irrigation controller stopped working and they came out and replaced it, it was still under warranty so no cost to me. Also one of my plants died, and it also is being replaced at no cost.

Nick, Tim and their crew did a fantastic job on our backyard! We needed new sod and had drainage and runoff issues. He came in with some great ideas and made our backyard look brand new! After reaching out to several other companies, Hannah got back to me almost immediately. Nick was there within a few days and his crew started working within a few weeks. They showed up on time everyday and did a great job. I would highly recommend Russo Landscapes!
