I highly recommend the team at Russo Landscapes. Zach designed a landscape package of plants and hardscapes to transform our backyard into an oasis. Leo and the team worked diligently on the installation and accommodated our changes as the project unfolded. The crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up at the end of each day.

This will be our second time using Russo Landscapes for our home and honestly won't be the last. Always professional, friendly, and fair. The finished product is even better then what we envisioned. Love it!

Ryan and team did a great job with the initial service. We are looking forward to working with them on future lawn maintenance, and so far everything has been to our liking.

Russo Landscaping exceeded my expectations in my side and back yard. They placed a retaining wall on a very steep incline, graded the incline to place a walkway and put in a dry creek bed in my side yard to help with water and erosion. Anthony had my best interest at heart in the planning and overseeing the project. Very honest. He also helped me with the process of HOA approval. His installation team was amazing. Hard working and respectful. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Wow what a difference Russo Landscaping made to our yard. It was overgrown and needed a good trim plus I look forward to them taking care of our yard in the future. They are very knowledgeable about the plants in my yard and how/when they need to be trimmed and pruned. I looked into them a couple years ago and wished I would’ve made the move then!!!!

I can wholeheartedly support Russo Landscaping. The complete process from the initial review, design, project implementation and site work was outstanding. The Project Manager Leo and his second, Oscar, kept the project going and were clearly professionals.

Hiring Russo Landscapes to do a major backyard renovation to address drainage/flooding issues has been the most expensive mistake I've ever made. I was impressed by positive reviews from my neighborhood and by the sales rep's responsiveness, but my experience turned into a nightmare the minute the crew stepped onto my property. PLUS, the flooding/drainage issue was not resolved.

The crew chief argued with me; would not listen to me when I asked questions (even when I was trying to get them to understand they'd ordered the wrong color patio pavers which they later confirmed was wrong); the work was shoddy (like covering up bare spots where rock should be with pine straw or leaving a Flo Well without a drain cover); and when I questioned why work was not being done according to the site plan, one of the guys in charge said he'd never seen the site plan when I showed it to him. They cut a gutter they weren't supposed to touch, leaving me with an ugly mess.

They told me that I hadn't noted any problems during two separate walkthroughs after project completion when, in fact, I'd mentioned the gutter issue, the fact that the new zoysia sod had a fungus (confirmed by my lawn maintenance folks within days of installation), and other issues - only to be met with no response from them at all - no offer to make it right or anything else. I followed up with emails delineating the issues. Russo's owner never contacted me even though I copied him on my emails regarding the poor work and the fact that I would need to pay someone to repair what they messed up (like the gutter).

After multiple emails, the company offered me less than $500 for the repairs needed and offered a few free lawn maintenance treatments. They came back to fix some things, but the "fixes" ended up causing more problems (like the gutter repair left me with a gutter that drained from the seams). I have no confidence in their ability to address anything else effectively. I've already spent more than the amount they offered in completing repairs like the gutter. I will need to completely re-do a gravel walkway they installed so that it's done properly, and fixing the issue with the drainage will cost thousands since it seems there is an insufficient slope on the underground piping to move the water effectively.

The company refused to take any responsibility for shoddy work and actually told me that my expectations were "self imposed" rather than "industry standards." Hmmm . . . I doubt they'd ever say that to a man!! Expecting a drain to drain, though, isn't a self-imposed expectation. That is an industry standard. Expecting landscape fabric to be installed appropriately under a gravel walkway is an industry standard. They also modified the plan that a landscape architect developed for me, saying that what they recommended would address the flooding/drainage issues sufficiently. The original plan called for 3 Flo Wells; they said I only needed 1. Because the project was going to be expensive, they offered to let me do the work in stages (like the patio separately from the drainage system or the gravel walkway), but I had no financial concerns about doing everything at once (I even immediately approved an extra expense once they were on site). After notifying them of issues with flooding AFTER the work was done, their response was that they told me I might have to do more work in stages (e.g., adding Flo Wells per the original design). That's NOT what was discussed up front, but it's an excuse they can use since the discussions are not in writing.

Even what's in writing in the contract didn't matter to them. The contract said they'd remove all existing sod. They didn't remove it, but buried it and now Bermuda is coming up where there should be none (they advised me to use Roundup after paying them lots of $$$). The contract said the new sod would be healthy. It wasn't. It had a fungus, and they were quick to remind me that there's no warranty on the sod (which I knew, but I also expected the new sod to be healthy like the contract specified).

Buyer beware!

We use Russo Landscapes for our weekly yard maintenance. So when we had other work to do around the yard, we called them. Nick came out to review our wants/needs and provided an estimate. When the work was scheduled, Nick came along to introduce the Project Manager, Todd. Todd made sure all the work was done right. We had several overgrown shrubs removed and replaced them with more appropriate plants, and added some matching plants from an adjacent planter area. In addition, we also needed an existing dry creek bed to be refurbished and a larger drain installed. They completed all of this in two days, removed all debris, and left the yard looking great. We will be using them again for more work in the future.

Cannot recommend Russo Landscapes enough! Anthony was so great and easy to work with. He really listened to what we wanted and completely transformed our backyard. What he built exceeded our expectations by far! All the work and cleanup was done in a week. Anthony and crew were very knowledgeable, reliable, and extremely hard working.

Update: We have continued to use Russos yard maintenance service for the past 3 years. Wonderful service, highly recommend. Ryan has been amazing. We have had a wild/mostly wooded, large half of our backyard for the past 14 years where my Irish Wolfhound and German Shepherd ran and played. After both my boys passed away this past year, I wanted to landscape our entire backyard area as it was overgrown and unusable space. We called Russo, and Anthony came out and walked through our property, listened to my ideas of what I wanted, and explained everything they could do. Access was difficult due to fencing, hilly layout of the yard, but they detailed everything they would need to do, they kept us informed about every step. They landscaped the entire upper yard with beautiful slate chip paths between the trees, plants and bushes I love such as hydrangeas and hostas, a gorgeous stone patio, a second seating area/space, they utilized large boulders we had in our yard to build retaining walls with stone steps, and they even lit our paths and trees. I have never had such a beautiful yard, it is my piece of heaven, my backyard oasis, and I look forward to many happy years enjoying it. They also cleaned up my side yard where they had to bring in heavy machinery, they re-built a smaller retaining wall that had to be moved for the big project, and as they promised, everything they had to move, they left “better than they found it”- I love the new wall they built also with another boulder from the yard incorporated, it’s beautiful, and that replanted/landscaped bed looks so much nicer than it did before they came. They even re-sodded our front yard so our lawn is beautiful up front now too. I would hire them again and I would recommend them to anyone. Everyone was so helpful, professional, so easy to work with. My beautiful new landscaped yard is now my favorite part of my house!

I can not say enough about Russo landscaping. We had a 5x8 patio and we got this after. Work done in 4 days and results were amazing.. Thanks Nick, Hunter, Leo and crew for amazing professionalism and landscaping ideas. Our neighbors are in awe

Russo just completed our new patio and it looks fantastic! The boulder wall is the look we wanted around it and it’s perfect. Nick and Leo were very easy to communicate with any time I had questions and the rest of the crew did a jam up job too. 10/10 would recommend!

I recommend Russo. After years of troubles with unhealthy grass and drainage in my backyard, we engaged Russo last July ('24) to strip, grade, amend, and lay new sod. We also added a stone steps from the driveway down to the back patio.... Here are the results. Pictures say it all...

Russo Landscaping maintains the landscaping in our subdivision and they do a great job! In addition, because I asked one of their workers, Ryan, he trimmed back some trees from the tennis courts. The service is outstanding and they are so friendly! I would definitely recommend!

Russo Landscapes did an incredible job on our front yard. We had a problematic concrete walkway due to a massive sinkhole as well as drainage issues. They took out the walkway and the yard look brand new and so much better than before! They went way above and beyond to repair areas that weren't directly in scope for the project, installed additional drainage, and had amazing attention to detail!
