Steve and Caroline from Southern Specialty LLC, step in and corrected a problem, by replacing my roof and preforming outstanding work on the inside of the house. After Hurricane Erma my roof was damaged and water leaked inside the house. The rep. from the insurance company came out and gave an estimate that was so far off that it would have only replaced four pack of Singles. Steve and Caroline came and ask if they could resubmit the claim? They gave me their word that if the roof would not be replaced I would not owe anything. Long story short, The estimate went from four packages of shingles to replacing the entire roof, painting four rooms including the ceilings. The workers was quiet but effective. I am very pleased with the outcome of contracting with Southern Specialty, LLC and I would recommend this company for a roof replacement to any and all who needs a roof.

Cowan Properties has relied on Southern Specialty for a variety of construction needs over the past 6 years. Each project has been completed professionally, on time and at the agreed upon fair price - no surprises! Work has included interior remodel, deck replacement, multiple roof replacements (with and without insurance coordination), and gutter systems. Ron is a professional builder and very knowledgeable in many areas.

Southern's staff are professional and easy to work with. They did an excellent job on my roof, sidings, and gutters. Most of all they communicate very well.

Southern Specialty did a great job replacing my storm damaged roof. After a small glitch in the date for installation, they showed up on the confirmed day and knocked out everything that same day. You'll do well in choosing these guys for your roof repair and installation.

Rod and Angela with Southern Specialty were gems to work with! What we thought was initially a roof repair after a clumsy neighbor dropped a tree into my house, crushing my master closet, turned into all new floors throughout, a new bathroom, and a new kitchen - oh and a repaired closet and new roof! Rod was patient and diligent working with my insurance agency and allowing me to pick out and pay for a few upgrades. Additionally, Rod was insistent on preserving the quality and character of my 100 year old craftsman cottage in Historic Grant Park. Their work was beautiful, efficient, and any issues I had, Rod was out immediately resolving them. Again, I HIGHLY recommend using SSC for any needed services!

I’ve had Southern Specialty do work on my home for about a decade now. I’ve never felt a need to call another company because they do such excellent work. I’ve used them for bath and kitchen renovations, a room add on and most recently installing a new roof. They are timely, fair on price, EXCELLENT workmanship and always clean up after themselves. I highly recommend this company, and have in fact done so with a neighbor who was also very satisfied. Use this company!!!

Southern Specialty Contractor LLC, gave me an estimate on my property to install a roof and I agreed to move forward after all parties agreed to a price. I informed the representative Manny that we were on a strict budget and could only afford what we were quoted. He did a complete assessment of the roof and said he thought we would be fine with the price quoted and did not anticipate any additional problems based on his knowledge and expertise. My husband and I decided to move forward because he seemed to be an honest person. We paid half of the invoice and the other half was due at completion. We never got a phone call, text or email stating that they found any additional problems. Unfortunately, when the job was completed they sent an invoice with an additional $1995. I called and told them they made a mistake on the invoice and I was told that they found some additional issues and addressed them without my permission. I have never in my life heard of a company making additional repairs to a property without discussing it with the homeowner. I believe this is a scam. They submitted a lower bid to get the job and inflated it after the work was completed. This man had the nerve to file suit against me for repairs that I didn't approve. I have a feeling that this is how they do business. That is very unprofessional to inflate a price without discussing it with the customer. I will definitely see him in court. Please shop around before you do business with this company. I REFUSE to allow him to scam me. I wish I could give zero stars. He was paid in full per the contract terms but is trying to hustle me.

We have contracted with Southern Specialty many times over the years from roofing our home after a major storm, building a new deck addition to installing a new kitchen and bathroom. They hit the ball out of the park every time and with the utmost professionalism. I would recommend this company to anyone and we will continue to use them for all our construction needs in the future. They deliver a quality product with quality materials every time.

My roof looks great! I am most pleased with this company. The owner said they would pick up all the nails, and they did! Other companies before them promised the same and I had a qt. glass jar full. They painted my great room and did a fabulous job!! I highly recommend them!

Southern Specialty Contracters is a professional roofing company and I enjoyed doing business with them. It was such a smooth process and I definitely felt re-assured when Rod the owner himself inspected the roof and discussed the detsils of the repairs. Him and his wife work as a team and I felt right at home. I am very happy with the quality of the work...I appreciate so much that they treated me with kindness, respect and they answer their phones promptly

From the first day to the last all text messages/ phone calls were returned in a timely manner, any questions asked were explained in detail. You will not find a more honest, hardworking, professional Contractor anywhere in my opinion.The way they cleaned the driveway and yard of any debris once our roof was completed was amazing. His Office Staff is a pleasure to work with as well.We would highly recommend this company for any of your needs.

Southern Specialty has been great to work with. Steve and Caroline represent the company well. Angela in the office is very good at keeping in touch with updates and can answer any questions. The employees that do the repairs are very nice, prompt, and respectful. Chase and Theo are great! I don't know everyone else's name, but they are great too. Rod, the owner is very hands on and keeps projects moving. The results are quality and up to code. Rod pays attention to detail and makes sure the job is done right. Rod is also knowledgeable about insurance companies and what they need. I would definitely hire this company again and have already referred them to my friends in need of major repairs.

They are more than polite and professional, they are kind. The level of communication is unparalleled. The quality of their materials, outstanding. The workmanship of their employees and subcontractors, superb. The cost was reasonable, especially considering the cost of goods these days. I am extremely happy with my new roof and will most definitely hire Southern Specialty Contractor again in the future. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
