We unexpectedly had to replace our roof. Rod (owner) came to our home, inspected the roof and helped us come up with the best solution for replacing our roof. The installing crew was on time, worked very hard and did a great job including a thorough clean-up. Angela (assistant) handled the administrative tasks and was a pleasure to work with. Southern Specialty is a very reliable business, run by someone who cares about his clients and his business. We highly recommend them ~ the best contractor experience one could want. Thank you!

First, I never write reviews. I always read them, but never write them. Secondly, I have had several service companies/people work at my home. I have never been compelled to write a review about them (because it would not have been positive). However, working with Rod Holbrook of Southern Specialty has been an extremely positive experience. I had a complete exterior remodel (roof, gutters, paint, chimney demo and remodel, window/door replacement, and front entryway remodel). The pricing was incredibly reasonable. The workmanship was impeccable. He and his team were always conscientious, creative, competent, and communicative. He started my project ON TIME and finished only one day after his estimation. The extra day was completely on me. I added additional projects. I could not be happier with the work that has been completed at my home. It is exactly- no - BETTER than what I had expected. Again, please see above comments about other services I have had. During THIS entire project with Southern Specialty, I have not once been aggravated, anxious, MAD, or wondering when the work was going to be completed. I have never been happier working with ANY other company. Thank you, Rod and team!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Manny and from the start he explained everything, what to expect and how long it would take to replace my roof. I especially liked the fact that this company works closely with military veterans. My roof and the sidings of my house were done in one day. The clean up of my property was just wow, like they were never here. All the personnel that came out to assist Manny were amazing. Thank you guys for such an awesome job. I’ve already started recommending your company to my coworkers that in need of roof repair.

I have a few rental properties I needed a new roof. I use Southern Specialty for a roof replacement and they did an amazing job. Angie was amazing at answering all my questions. Manning was the project manager and was very efficient. The project got done in one day and my tenants also agreed that they are an amazing company. Southern Specialty replaced my roof, and they did an excellent job. Rob came out for an inspection and provided a competitive rate to replace the roof. Manny and his team showed up as promised, and they did a fantastic job removing and replacing the roof. The team was very efficient and got it done in one day. We had several companies quote the roof and gutter replacement job for our house. From the start, Southern Specialty is the one we were inclined to select, and we are so glad we did!

This process was absolutely seamless. From signing the contract to having the roof fully replaced, it was less than a week. The materials are GAF, so warranty is excellent, with many colors to choose from. The owner, office staff, and the crew are so friendly and professional. There was not one single hiccup in this process. And to top it all off, the price was so much better than the others that quoted, and we qualified for a veteran rebate! Without hesitation, we recommend Southern Specialty for roof work!.

Had water leak from front chimney stone work. Requested quotes from 3 contractors; and, SSC was the most responsive. The quality of their work is outstanding and cost effective. A very good job of removing the old stone and replacing with more weather hardened siding.

We had the roof replaced due to hail damage. I was particularly impressed by how meticulous they were in all things. Several skylights were replaced and they were very careful to get them seated, aligned and sealed exactly.

I was refered to Southern Specialty Contractor by a gutter replacement firm I had hired. I needed the gutters replaced because I was waterproofing the basement, which had previously flooded before I owned the house. Scott asked if I had the roof inspected, and since my home inspector had only done it from the ground suggested I have Rod come and take a look. Good thing I did. Rod came out the next day and discovered extensive hail pitting from 2013 that the prior owner had not repaired.

Rod gave me a very reasonable quote and said he could meet my timeline. His crew was scheduled for the first day I had funds to pay him. Roofing material was dropped at my house a few days prior. Communication was great throughout.

His crew arrived promptly pre-dawn to start setup and worked until after sunset to finish in one day. The entire crew was polite and hardworking. The foreman, Manny, was available for every question I had and accommodated every request cheerfully. For example I told him I never used the antenna and if it was attached to the roof they did not need to put it back up for me. He volunteered to take it down and dispose of it.

They also put up a cricket to stop water build up against the chimney. This was not part of the original quote and they did not charge extra. The one area they had to replace a roof board was around the chimney where it was damaged from previous water intrusion.

I could not be happier with the results or the work done by the roofing crew.

Prompt and professional. Rod and his team identified the problem on the roof of our automotive shop around the paint booth vent and made all the necessary repairs at a very reasonable price. They also did some insulation work for us inside the building. We were very happy with the work done and will definitely be using Southern Specialty Contractor LLC for any other repair or roofing needs we have!

My homewarranty company used them as thier provider.
The tech that came out was very professional....
My homewarranty approved to pay for the item but bestway gave a bill for uncovered charged which was more than a new unit out the store and the cost to have an independent person who put it in.them...
I told them I wouldn't use them because they are a rip off...
Bestway is a cheat that Jack's up thier prices..I would shop around before using thrm...

I dealt with Scott from Bestway mechanical and I am absolutely thrilled with him and his service. He was an absolute joy to be around, very respectful, very professional, and most importantly he knew his stuff. He certainly went above and beyond what I expected and I cant say enough good things about him. Bestway certainly exceeded my service call expectations. Highly recommend Bestway to anyone looking for service.

Will is a hard working knowledgeable plumber. He was quick to diagnose the issue and explained everything to me! He is one of the first young men that I have met who is so well trained in plumbing.

I was nervous about the reviews but my warranty company assigned them to my plumbing issue. The initial call to set up an appointment was prompt and friendly. The technician named Bobbi arrived early and was very polite and completed the work without any issues. Bobbi also explained what was wrong with the toilets.

This company is a complete scam. They did not render any service whatsoever. A. Terry looked at the leak and stated that they could not fix, due to it being behind a wooden plank. This is a small issue that any reputable plumber could resolve. No diagnostic or resolution whatsoever. They literally spent 10 minutes at the property—-half that time was them justifying why they could t offer a solution. Waste of time, energy, and money. Don’t use this company.

I wouldn’t recommend this company and it took 2 plumbers to look at the issue and he wasn’t even sure what was causing the issue, he informed me 350 to pull my toilet up to see what’s causing the issue. Then he said my water heater was 6 years old and needed to be replaced, insurance covered the water heater but the company wanted to charge $700 for a modification. Now I’m having to get another company out because my toilets are messing up again and this company just supposedly fixed the toilet in Feb.

Bestway Mechanical responded thru a HSA warranty repair request for clogged and leaking tub drain. Bestway was slow to provide full info to HSA, on a Friday. Late Mon afternoon had full info that repair not covered 'due to faulty installation '. Bestway wanted to replace line w cpvc and charge $800. This is after $100 service call fee. Bestway waited 5 days to follow up, because they were on vacation.
I called a reputable plumber, Mark Griffin, who repaired/replaced line $450.
So, Bestway pretty much doubled a reasonable cost to repair.

This review is more for Terry then the company. He is profession, great at explaining things and seems honest.

Didn’t do 5 stars as the company forgot a part they ordered for my job and I had to follow up after several months. But Terry came and got it all done
