Great Experience! Bill and the whole crew was very knowledgeable and they got my system up and running in a timely manner. Everything was planned out and scheduled without delays. When I had a problem, the techs was there to get my system going. Awesomeness!

I love my solar system. It is top-notch. Bill S. is an excellent salesperson. Had a few issues with my overzealous HOA and Revolusun handled it professionally. Great team of people. I felt like they really took care of me and are saving me thousands of $$$ a year on HECO bills.

Among a million issues (non responsive, schedulers not tracking what work was or wasn’t done, sending the team to do unauthorized work, sending them on the wrong day/wrong time, etc), we’ve been waiting 6 months for them to fix the mapping for our phone app. They won’t respond to calls or emails. The install crew is nice, but the rest of the company is so unprofessional that it overshadows any positives. As I’ve been telling friends and neighbors, go with a different company. You’ll be much happier.

Just wanted to share a great experience with RevoluSun and Michelle Chung. Shopped around and got a lot of quotes bc it was a considerable investment and realized that even though RevoluSun was one of the biggest and well known companies there prices were considerable cheaper than less established competitors and they had the Tesla battery which I really wanted. Ran into problems with permitting bc the house I recently purchased was built in the early 70s. I was very discouraged and didn't want to go though with the PV system. However, Michelle Chung and her expert team guided me and facilitated the project way beyond the scope of her normal work.
I would encourage everyone to get a PV system through RevoluSun. They will guide you though the whole process and make you feel comfortable and really take the time to explain and answer all your questions.

Had a multiple number of split systems installed. Project manager, and installers did a great job. Only complaint was the lag from contract to installation timeline. However system was installed before the summer heat and follow up assistance from RevolSun was commendable.

About a year ago, I had a PV system installed with battery backup. Recently, we've been having severe electrical issues at our home, with lights flickering, breakers tripping, etc... I called twice to see if I could technical support, and I never received a call back. I hired an electrician to troubleshoot, and it looks like Revolusun did not ground our breaker. From what I understand, they used a temporary ground and forgot to put in something permanent. Now my $7k powerwall is not responding to the app. Revolusun, if you want this rating revised, please return my call. Thanks.

Update: I'm updating my review to 3 stars. After posting this review, I received a call from Mura at Revolusun, and she was very helpful in resolving my issue. She sent a crew down to make sure that everything was ok with our breaker, and sent us a check to cover the cost of the electrician I hired.

Update 2: We ran into an issue with our panels not generating power last week, and I left a message with Revolusun on Sunday, and received a call before noon on Monday. It was Mura, and she, again, was very helpful. She was able to determine that our inverter went bad, and will be sending a crew to replace it this week.

Update October 2022:

Alright, so three years later and a bag of bad feelings, the worst happened. I noticed my Solar wasn’t working. I went to check it, and noticed the inverter was switched off. I did the online recommended trouble shooting, basically turn it on and off at various levels, but no dice.

Despite the less than stellar initial experience, I knew I’d have to call revolusun as they had all the info and warranty on the product. I was certain three years wasn’t a typical shelf life for such a critical component as the inverter!

Thankfully, revolusun really was in the ball. I got back with our sales person point of contact, and he thought much of the issues I brought up had been resolved two years prior.

I will give some grace as the hang up was he thought a piece of paperwork was delivered but had not. Then Covid hit and obviously, communication, and follow-up was lost.

Nevertheless, after this initial contact, revolusun actually took the opportunity to makes things right.

Someone came out within the week. Saw the inverter was essentially fried. They installed a new inverter in a surprising turn around and with much more seamless communication. Even with issues with inverter supply, they were able to make it work.

So for those who have had problems, don’t give up! I now really regret giving up after no follow-up. And, I now know how to make things more seamless on everyone’s part.

I used to contact our sales person for updates, but then he’d just have to ask the scheduler. This added an extra person, and we’d be playing phone tag with sales, they’d be trying to get scheduling, and then scheduling would have to chase install/electricians.

Now, I’d just call revolusun and ask for the scheduler directly. Also, what makes things hard is the installer isn’t always an electricians. So, the electrician installed the inverter then the solar specialist linked the inverter to the system. So, this all takes time and multiple visits.

There was a chance for miscommunication, as the office didn’t realize the solar specialists wasn’t able to hook it up after the electrician was done, but just calling scheduling direct was able to resolve the issue pretty quickly.

I’m happy I followed-up and implore others who haven’t had the best experience to call back, as revolusun actually did want to make it right.

I’d still have to give four stars as the original issues can’t be forgotten, but the turn around time from finding out my inverter was cooked to back up and running was less than a month. As many may be aware of there are unbelievable supply issues going on, I was pleasantly surprised.

Whether communication has simply improved, or I had bad luck the first time, I’d say give revolusun a chance. I’m happy in the end, and they seem to stand by their product and will resolve issues that do pop-up down the line.

I had a pretty terrible time with this company. I understood the long wait for approvals from the state and there were issues with timing of the construction of our house. However, the lack of contact and responsiveness from the company was so abysmal, we had tons of problems. We were recommended the wrong inverter size after increasing panels. They didn’t communicate well, and didn’t install our panels in time for move in despite tons of lead time.They turned on our system but didn’t check the meter, and we got charged for energy sent to HECO!

They tried to “make it right” promising all sorts of things, but, again, never followed up on any of their empty promises.

In the end, I really regret not going with another company. Even though revolusun were so slow to contact us, we kept on thinking we put so much time and energy into this company we can’t go back. But , that’s dumb and their terrible performance in the beginning should’ve been a big red flag at the start. Don’t let sink cost fallacy make you regret this because EV panels cost us over 50k. Find someone else to assist you with your solar needs.

Excellent customer service, quick responses to all my questions. Quick quality installation, and I’m so happy with with my 18 solar panels and Tesla power wall 2 battery. My wife and I both work all day, and we the AC every night, and all day on weekends— once the battery is charged, the rest of the energy my panels produces feeds the grid, which I get money back for from my utility. My average monthly electric bill has been $26 (the minimum). Go with Revolusun, and you will win at life

We worked with professional people at RevolSun during installation of our solar panels. They were very helpful in answering our questions and responding to issues of concern. We highly recommend using RevolSun team for your solar project.

The whole experience, from my first contact with Julian Ritchey to the last contact last week, has been exceptional. I had a slight glitch in the installation of my batteries and Julian never gave up on my issue. He kept in contact, responding to my emails with alacrity, until the job was finally completed. I think any other manager would have given up on me but not Julian. While he is a wonderful contact, this is what I wrote about my last contact with the RevoluSun team. "Again, I was impressed by the quality of the RevoluSun hires. The two men were polite, verbal, concerned about the batteries' noise and engaged in trying to find a solution. I had problems with my solar panels which had been installed years back by another company which went out of business. I contacted Revolusun to see if they could resolve. While it did necessitate a few visits, and arguably that could have been solved sooner, I nonetheless highly command Revolusun for keeping at it and for the quality of their customer service. Ashley was awesome. The technicians who came were knowledgeable, competent and very professional.
I highly recommend using Revolusun and passed the word to all my neighbors

Back in October 2023 my family discovered that one of the Solar Inverter #1 the larger of the two that made Sun power into electrical power for our 3 batteries was not working correctly. The system was only 3.5 years old so it was fairly new. To make things worse 65% of the Solar Panel power went thru Inverter #1 and was not sure if the Sun power was being utilized.
What's great about Yumi was that:
1) Kept me informed of when the Service Technician would be there.
2) When an earlier service date was made available, Yumi reassigned the technician to go to my home, so my service date was moved up. The technician orders a new Inverter to replace #1 inverter.
3) When the technician discovered that the Inverter #1 needed to be replaced, she helped to communicate exactly what was going on.
4) Finally, Yumi kept me updated throughout the ordeal.
Great job Yumi, Thank You for taking care of your RevoluSun customers. Thank You RevoluSun for working so quickly to help your customers.

Steve Mazur originally came out to our home to discuss what our initial goal was and what we wanted and needed. We thought we needed a certain amount of panels and Steve instead of selling us what WE thought we needed he explained we didnt need that many and why, he easily could have sold us what we thought we needed which was significantly more money, instead he did the opposite. It wasnt about the money of a sale it was about providing us the customer with exactly what we needed rather than trying to sell us more.
Unlike any other sales person who once they get their sale their part is done. That wasn't the case with Steve. He kept in regular contact throughout the entire process. The permits here isnt a fast process but they kept on it and updated us regularly. The placement of the various electrical equipment panels that go on the side of the house and the tesla batteries was rather complicated and limited as our home has the most exessive and ridiculous amount of windows possible on a home. However Steve worked with the system designers who despite their challenges with the extremely limited options they came up with a design that worked. Again Steve was in constant communication with us. When it was time for instalation the installers were polite and professional. They were extremely efficient and meticulous with the work they did.
Not only did we want solar but we needed AC installed not as a luxury but out of necessity due to a serious medical condition. Despite that being a completely separate side of the company, Steve spoke to Charlie Greene who came out to our home. Not only only did he look at and discuss the various options and then best option to provide efficient AC throughout the home, which has a very unusual layout He also spent a considerate amount of time on the placement of each unit avoiding them being an eyesore in the rooms. They took the medical situation very seriously and worked on getting us in quickly. Like the solar installers they were efficient and meticulous with their work, professional and polite.
The lengthy part was the permits from the city which is out of Revolusuns control and seems to be a tedious process for anyone trying to obtain a permit for anything. I'm extremely greatful that all of that was handled by Revolusun, including frequent follow ups for updates.
I highly recommend Revolusun, they are a genuine company with employees who care about their customers and their needs. A very rare quality that most companies these days don't have.
The small houses they've built and provided for displaced families on Maui is proof this is a company is so much more, their main goal and purpose is about caring and helping people.

I chose RevoluSun b/c they have a good reputation. I used two other companies in the past and was pleased that I chose RevoluSun b/c of their workmanship and customer service. Michelle was very instrumental in designing my system and I felt she was after my best interest. She stayed on top of my progress and saw it through to completion. She was also instrumental in trouble shooting when needed. I was very impressed with the quick follow-through and also her response time and thoroughness. She is one of main reasons I decided to go w/RevoluSun and I'm glad I did. The crew that installed my system was very cordial and knowledgable. They did a good job with the panel installation, battery hookup and electrical work. I am glad to have chosen RevoluSun and am pleased with the system that I have. Thank You RevoluSun!

I hired RevoluSun to install a new A/C system. Existing system was too old, so I decided to replace it. After meeting Erik, I choose Mitsubishi A/C and made a contract.
RevoluSun did very good jobs. Its crews are very professional and provided great services.
Their works is very neat. After installation, one of crews explained very well how to use and manage the a/c system.

I found RevoluSun to be professional and well organized. They seem to have a good system to keep track of all the jobs and contracts. The employees are personable and knowledgeable. If only the City permitting side could function as well.

We could not be happier with the service that we received from RevoluSun. We had used them several years ago when we installed our first set of PV panels. We recently used them again for installation of more PV panels with the Tesla powerwalls. We also decided to use them for installation of our split AC units. Kevin, our service representative, was there with us throughout the whole process and answered any questions that we had very promptly. Charlie, who is in charge of the AC installation, was also available whenever we had questions. When an issue arose regarding one of the compressors that was installed (no fault of RevoluSun but rather the manufacturer), he took care of it right away. I believe that the thing that separates Revolusun from some of their competitors is that they view the relationship as a long-term relationship and gladly stand behind their products and service. There is a reason why they are one of the largest companies on the island when it comes to PV panels and will continue to be in business even with the changing winds. We could not give them any higher recommendation than to say that we have referred them to our friends and family. Thank you RevoluSun.

Hats off to Jimmy with Revolusun who came out to trouble shoot my solar PV system which had gone off line. He successfully rebooted my system, but I'm especially grateful for the time he spent with me trying to decipher why my electric bill had suddenly skyrocketed.
