I had such a great experience with the Charleston nursery! Their plants are healthy and beautiful, I got a great deal for buying more. Experienced staff like Kevin and Luis took extra time to make sure my project would turn out the way I wanted, and the crew that came to plant did a wonderful job. Everyone was professional. Highly recommend this nursery!

We bought more than $2000 dollars of trees from Moon 3-4 years ago to use as privacy fence so my neighbors cannot see our backyard. Their trees quality is not good. After so long 4 trees did not grow much at all.Actually some of them looked very unhealthy. We will not recommend buying their items because overall quality is not good.

Professional tree and flower store offering all gardening accessories and tools. The waiters are warm and friendly, and there are staff at the door to provide free moving services. Very cool.

The prices were good! However while my husband and I were checking out plants there was a Employee sweeping up and down in the area my Husbandand I were shopping in! Wouldnt wait for us to get our plants and definitely Never Said "excuse-me" me. Not sure if it was the gay thing....but this was a very large guy with an attitude! Lol...FYI The Gays Love Star Nursery too! See you on Our next visit.

Luke was by far one of the worst cashiers I've ever dealt with. He was nasty, rude and very unhelpful. He refused to answer any of my questions and I had to get help from a fellow shopper. I like the deals here but doubt I will be back due to the way the staff treated me. There are several other nurseries in the area I will try instead. If you need something that requires questions or friendly staff go else where and save yourself a headache!!

Hello. I am at the Charleston location as I write this review. This place has the worst customer service and management. Last week I came in twice. The first time was to check out the inventory on pavers. I asked about what was in stocks and other questions about that. I called later on that day and they told me if I come in the next day, they would be able to deliver by Monday, July 12. The next day when I came in, I spent 30 minutes at the counter while the staff tried to figure out what to do. The manager was extremely rude, didn’t acknowledged me at all and didn't know the number to the warehouse, what was in stock at the store and went back and forth trying to pull it together. Finally, they was able to order the 3 pallets I asked for. Today, which is a Sunday, a number called my phone 3 times. I didn't recognize it. So I called the number back. It was Star Nursery calling because they had made an error for the delivery charge. If I didn't call back, I would have not known, because the employee did not leave a message. You call 3 times and don't leave a message? I had to come back in and pay more money for the delivery. Ok, so I come in, the young woman who made the call was nonchalant about not leaving a message. Why should she care? It's not her time or money. Anyway, the manager comes, doesn’t acknowledged me at all and explains the situation. Ok, fine. Everything is set for the delivery and then I leave. The young woman calls back, this time leaves a message. The other employee from last week had the wrong order in for the type of pavers. They had Terra cotta but I specifically ordered Sierra Blend. I turn around come back and tell them to refund my money. I told the manager about my less than pleasant experience and she seemed to acknowledge me this time and also was apologetic. That might have helped the first time but no thank you. This place has the most incompetent staff, poor customer service, and I will never, ever come here again. I wonder if I had looked different might I had a different experience.

Wonderful plant selection.! However, no one at the nursery bothered to let us know that YOU CANNOT take plants purchased here - or any nursery plants purchased anywhere in Nevada - back into California: “insect pests in the soil.” So, unless you want your $$$$ to go down the drain, like we were forced to do, DO NOT PURCHASE PLANTS IN NEVADA AND ATTEMPT TO TAKE THEM BACK INTO CALIFORNIA, at least via I-15. 😠😢😢

Thanks to Star Nursery I have an addiction!!! Succulents!!! The first time I went, I told them that I did not have any idea about plants, but I like them. So they helped me, guided me, tough me on all the basics I needed at that time. After my first visit, I have been visiting them every single week!! Now not only for succulents... other type of plants. I live in a small condo that now looks like a jungle...... lol ... Thanks to them!! I just cannot have enough. I love their plants and every time I go, I receive EXCELLENT service from everybody there. Will not go anywhere else but Star Nursery. Thank you so much!!

I love this place for purchasing plants and flowers

This place is too expensive. You can get the same wheelbarrow for $150.00 at Lowe's and here is $269.00. This is ridiculous.

Always a good experience here. The bros outside greet you when you arrive, the people inside are really friendly and helpful, never make you feel bad for not being a professional gardener/ landscaper, and the cashiers are super quick but never pushy. I always feel regretful when I buy stuff from Lowe's that I could have bought here cheaper and faster.

I went in seeking help to find a 24 gallon tree at the end of February. I didn’t realize it was still “winter hours” so I had a very short amount of time to take care of business! Casey came to my assistance! She was kind, calm, knowledgeable, and super helpful.
Star has my vote for the best local nursery.

Just tried buying around 300 plants and 8 pallets of pavers. I tried placing order thru the contractor side. And no help was given because I had to bring everything at the register otherwise nothing could be done.

If you value your time as a big spender don’t come here
No customer service at all!

Went here looking for a Hibiscus and a Weeping Fig. I was told it was too hot for the Hibiscus and they did not have any. The lady did not even know what the Weeping Fig was and she didn't even look it up. I left and went down the street to Moon Valley they had just want I needed. The man even looked up the Weeping Fig. Did not feel valued or cared for at this place.

My sister and I went here to search for a Christmas tree. One of the team members there, Dennis, was very helpful in helping us out in selecting the right tree at the right price and expediting our check out.

Nice people, got tree for a cheaper price.

This is our 2nd year buying a real Christmas tree 🎄. They have a wide selection. Both times (2020 & 2021) the staff were VERY friendly and attentive without being pushy. I appreciate that...giving us time to make a selection as a family. Our tree was trimmed to our specifications and with instructions on care and suggestions and recommendations to keep it green, our tree last year lasted a decent time.

Reasonably priced nursery with friendly staff.

This location seems the best. There is a good variety of trees, shrubs, etc.I bought many fruit trees and shrubs. Wish they had a better return policy though in case the plant doesn't survive. 30 days is really not enough to find out and then $ 30-40 per tree is lost. I lost several unfortunately. Also I don't understand why they are selling some plants which actually are not recommended for the desert climate.

I love Star but lately their quality in inventory has DRAMATICALLY DECREASED. I was here Thursday and over half their houseplants were in awful shape. From over watering with droopy leaves and drenched soil to half dead root rotted plants. Their Cebu Blues were literally dying and they still had the AUDACITY to have them for sale at full price. For a place that literally sells nothing BUT plants they really don't seem to take much pride in the way they're taken care of once they're out on the shelves. I've already have a few plants from Star die from root rot because the employees literally don't care about the plants and it's SOOO SAD! Also, they keep ordering all the same boring plants over and over again even while they have a ton of the same plants on the shelf. It's like they keep buying them to replace to dead ones. I can't imagine how much money they are losing by neglecting their money makers (plants.) Do better Star before places like HD and Lowes take your customers. Also, Walmart has been having better inventory than Star lately.

This was an anmazing place. I love plants so when i walked in there and saw all of the rare plants with low prices i just had to snag some. The staff was super nice and the place is just amazing. If you love plants and just so happen to be near that nursery you should go. 10/10 would recomend
