Had a great experience with Jake. He found several issues with our HVAC unit / ducting that another company installed in 2024 and we truly appreciated his thoroughness and attention to detail. Looking forward to utilizing Capital City Comfort Solutions for more work in our home.

Tobin Fitch was on time and very efficient. Capital City always does a thorough job. I also had electricians come out with Capital City and they did a home safety check. Tanner and Hayden were great. I highly recommend using Capital City Comfort and Solutions. I have been using them since 2018.

Jake and Zack did a great job with our regular maintenance call. They were professional and tidy with their work. They answered all my questions and did not rush through the explanation or the work. Highly recommend!

Hunter was fantastic! He showed up on time, was incredibly professional, and explained every step of the process in a way that was easy to understand. You can tell he takes real pride in his work—he was thorough, efficient, and made sure everything was running perfectly before he left. It’s rare to find someone who is both skilled and genuinely kind, but Hunter is exactly that. Highly recommend him for any HVAC needs!

We set up a maintenance plan with Capital City Comfort Solutions and had a wonderful experience with our first HVAC tuneup today. Jake communicated thoroughly with when he was going to arrive, what he was going to be doing for the tuneup, and explained any concerns found. Great service all around!

We were looking for a solution for our Florida room and we looked for quotes for a mini split. We contacted Capital City and they came to give us a quote. Tony was incredibly knowledgeable, and understood our needs. He did a great job with our quote! Once we decided for Capital City to do the install, Tony worked hard to help us with financing options to finalized our proposal. He was very communicative and detail oriented. We had our install today and it finished in about 6 hours! Tony came and was able to come early to talk to the crew. Jacob and the other technicians worked hard, and they asked for our preferences when needed. Very communicative! Everything looked clean after the install and our room is amazing! It is in great temperature now. We can’t wait to hang out in there! We highly recommend this company for a mini split install! We were impressed from start to finish! Thank you Capital City!!!

Vito and Jordan helped with a new install for us. They were timely and insightful when it came to the new unit and how it worked. They were able to get our old unit out and communicated everything they were doing. Vito came out a few weeks later to check on us again and make sure things were still operating correctly and has still been checking in with us. Very professional throughout the whole process!

Capital City came highly recommended to me from word-of-mouth friends and from my realtor. The entire process from the initial consultation to the comfort specialist coming out to my house was easy to set up and so informative. Andrew explained everything to my wife and I, made sure we understood exactly what work they would be doing and how that would impact us. There was a charge for the initial diagnosis and tuneup, but it was much cheaper than other quotes from the area. They offer interest-free financing, which is great. be confident when reaching out to capital city, they might be the best local option in Richmond.

I had a very disappointing experience with this HVAC company. They charged me an $89 diagnostic fee just to tell me that my heat pump needed a coil sensor — a simple job. My parts were fully under warranty, yet they still tried to charge me **$700 just for labor**, which is absolutely unreasonable for such a small and quick repair.

It feels like they take advantage of customers and inflate prices even when the job is simple. I don’t appreciate companies that pretend to help but end up trying to squeeze as much money as possible. I definitely would NOT recommend this company, and I will not be using their service again.

We had CCCS help us with electrical and HVAC. Jacob came out to review our electrical system and identified some major issues not addressed by our previous electrical company. Dillon checked out our heat pump and provided information related to theater system vs replacement, but didn’t recommend replacement at this time.

What a great experience with Capital City Comfort Solutions! Everyone was timely & professional. The estimator, Rob Garner, was knowledgeable, efficient & fun. We discussed options and i got a reasonable estimate (w/financing options) on the spot. Agreed & the install took place the following day (AC only). The technicians Jacob Haas & Tyler were very nice, respectful & efficient. They also put up with 3 barking dogs all day. Afterwards, Jacob explained everything they installed (new AC, handler & thermostat). When you get estimates for home improvements, they're usually not that far apart but customer service makes all the difference & these folks have it.

Dillon was amazing. They were able to come take care of me on the same day during an ice storm. My heat breaker kept flipping. Dillon was able check out my HVAC unit, and found out it was the breaker. He was able to replace the breaker on the same day and now I'm back to having heat! Thank you!

We first utilized Capital City when it was just Chris way back in the beginning. They are the only company that we have ever used in the home that we are in now besides the company that he used to work for. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding and their attention to detail is phenomenal. We had a complete system replaced yesterday and Hunter and Andrew were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and took exceptional care of my house while they were there. They also finished several hours earlier than expected which was a bonus! The install is perfectly clean and very neat . When Dillon came out last week to diagnose the issues that we were having, he was amazing as well. That was probably his second or third time there. I don't do a lot of reviews and I definitely don't leave a lot of five stars, but if I had the ability to leave a six I would. I have zero complaints with my experience with Capital City.

We are so pleased with the installation of our new lights! Brandon, Tanner, and Hayden were professional, efficient, and a pleasure to have around. We are looking forward to having them back to install the recessed lighting soon.
Recessed lights in both the living room and the bedroom were completed in one day. Can’t say enough about The great job They did. I wouldn’t hesitate to call CAPITAL CITY with any of my needs whether it’s heating air conditioning, lighting, or plumbing.

My entire experience with capital city has been amazing. Our 15 year old heat pump finally gave out right before the start of this heat wave. We had Rob come give an estimate and I really appreciated him being honest & upfront while giving a very competitive quote when compared to others. He even lent us two window units to use during the heat wave (100 degree weather for 3 days straight) to keep our house tolerable while we got put on the schedule for a replacement. Hunter & Andrew with the rest of their crew did a phenomenal job with the install despite having to deal with triple digits in the attic. I feel I am in great hands having this company service our unit in the future. You really can’t go wrong going with capital city if you need a new unit!

We owe a huge thank you to the team at Capital City Comfort Solutions! We came to them highly recommended by a trusted friend, and they absolutely lived up to the hype, coming to our rescue in last week's frigid temperatures.
Our experience started with the routine inspection performed by our wonderful technician, Jake Roper. During the visit, Jake thoroughly checked both HVAC units and went above and beyond in our crawlspace. He discovered our 38-year-old original upstairs unit was not only running on "emergency" power but was completely out of Freon due to a leak. Clearly having our best interest at heart, Jake wisely advised that replacement was the best path forward, rather than waiting for the inevitable complete shutdown. He even spent extra time photographing concerning areas in the crawlspace that our encapsulation company had missed!
Next, our "Comfort Specialist," Rob Garner, stepped in. Rob is an absolute professional—quick-on-the-draw and focused entirely on customer satisfaction. He promised a replacement in a couple of days. The challenge? Finding a unit that would fit into our tiny closet without tearing out the wall or door molding. Rob was detailed in explaining all possible options, but miraculously, he located a perfectly sized unit!
The installation was seamless:
• Rob sent a carpenter who carefully removed and then perfectly replaced the door molding to get the new unit situated. You would never know anything was done!
• The installation team took down an entire wall of framed photographs to protect them, and then placed every single one back in its exact original spot. Perfect!
Not only was Rob incredibly thorough in his explanations, but he followed up with phone calls and emails throughout the process. Professional. Pleasant. Thorough. An Expert. Rob and his team truly are a stand-out company in our city. If you need HVAC service, look no further!

We had Capital City Comfort Solutions help us with a smaller-size ductwork project. Jake and Tyler were amazing to work with! Very thorough, explained what they were doing along the way, and were very easy to communicate with during the project. The company itself handled all aspects of the projects professionally. We plan on using this company again once the main unit finally gives out. Thanks to Andrew, Micah, Tyler, and Jake. Y’all were awesome!

While we always have excellent service by Capital City, our tech notion today, Tobin, is exceptional. Very personable, knowledgeable and just an overall good person. I appreciated his demeanor and the momentary conversations we would have throughout the visit. If I could I would ask him to revisit my house every time we have a call.

I had such a great experience with Capital City! Colin, Jacob, and Jacob were so helpful in finding me the right lighting solution for my retail store. They made the process a flawless one. Great guys from start to finish and in the end— I got what I was looking for — which was a brighter store.

We needed to replace our heat pump after it failed and received multiple quotes. This company’s estimate was significantly higher than the others and included less warranty coverage. After doing some research, I learned the company had been acquired by a private equity firm based in Florida. Based on these factors, I decided not to move forward with them. The salesman, Rob, was professional and courteous, and this decision is in no way a reflection of him.

Although the estimate was issued under my partner’s name, it was for my home, and I am the individual paying for the system. The absence of my name on the quote does not invalidate the feedback provided.

I understand how businesses justify pricing through overhead, management structures, and internal support systems. In this case, it is also reasonable to assume that operating under a larger management or umbrella organization contributes to higher costs. When compared directly with other proposals, your pricing was higher and the warranty coverage was less favorable. That is a factual comparison, not a misunderstanding of pricing.

While your Comfort Advisor was professional, professionalism alone does not outweigh a higher price combined with weaker warranty terms. Based on these factors, I chose not to move forward with your company.
