We have had our chimney cleaned with them for years, always do a good job. This time they even called ahead to let me know they were running late, which no one does professionally these days.

From the moment he arrived, John stood out as very professional. He answered all of our questions, installed a screen to stop birds from getting trapped in our stove pipe, and checked our furnace flue to make sure it was clean. He cleaned up so well you would not know our stove had been cleaned. We appreciate your outstanding work.

This company did a terrible job cleaning my chimney. After they were allegedly done cleaning, I prepped the wood for my first fire. After opening the damper to the widest setting, I lit the fire. Everything was going fine for the first couple minutes, then my smoke detector started going off. Suddenly there was haze all around the room, and my house reeked of smoke.

After putting it out with a fire extinguisher, I had one of my good friends come over to check it out. He's used to cleaning his chimney every season, so he's a professional when it comes to chimney cleaning. In hindsight I wish I called him up first, because after he inspected it he found that there was a bunch of leaves still stuck up there causing the smoke to not rise up.

The worst part is these guys charged me $500 for that cleaning that they did a terrible job at. Thankfully I was able to get my $500 back, but I still had to pay nearly six grand in smoke damages.

Not worth the trouble at all, I would never recommend these people to anybody.

Thank you SCS for being absolute champs for 20+ years! Bob came to my house today to clean my two flues and I was so happy to see him. I was compelled to come a leave a review because I realized, I actually look forward to my chimney cleaning each year! Everyone at SCS is highly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and my house is always cleaner after they leave than when they arrived. Bob holds an extra special place in my heart because he is the embodiment of service with a smile; I love our catch up sessions every year or two when he comes, and my day was better having interacted with him. Shout out to Cheryl in the office for being helpful, personable, and precise to a tee! I love her "day before" reminder phone call. Most of the time I don't look forward to spending money on domestic maintenance, but these guys take wonderful care of our home and our family, and it is a pleasure to support and recommend them.
