I hate writing bad reviews but I have rarely seen a poor service like this one. Captain kirk came to my home while I was away picking up my kids from school : my architect kindly showed him our chimney issue. When I came back 1/2 hours after he had arrived, he was already gone. He charged us 330$ for this, which is outrageous : he never gave any feed back, telling my architect that he needed to know how my chimney was build inside but that he could not see. When my architect sent him pictures, Captain Kirk never get back to us, even after sending emails, calling him twice and leaving messages. What a poor service, I had never seen that... We just lost our money, that's all. I would definitely not recommend his services.

Captain Kirk was so friendly and helpful. He was thorough and careful to not get the house dirty while he inspected our fireplace. He even gave us tips to keep the fireplace safe and clean ourselves without spending any extra money. I highly recommend his services.

Kirk is the best. We had a leaky chimney that was really tricky to try and diagnose. Kirk solved it by properly repairing the cap - and as a bonus he updated my cap to actually meet fire code and be safer.

Recently also had him do a sweep for us - did a great job and our fireplace has never been cleaner. Highly recommend Kirk!

Kirk has been cleaning the fire places and gas burning inserts at the rentals I manage for years. He communicates incredibly well, you know what your arrival window will be and he's there. Very through, from the roof on down, will spend the time to find out what you have and keep a record of the manual, many of these houses didn't provide that info upon purchase.
Personable and efficient. We don't have anyone else work on our gas or wood burning stoves.
His pricing is competitive, and for the peace of mind , never-mind the liability issues, he's your man.

This was my first time using Captain Kirks chimney services and He did an amazing and thorough job cleaning our chimney and fireplace insert. Tonight our house is warmer and I feel much safer. Capt. Kirk was on time, very careful to keep my house spotless. 💯 Percent better than the last sweep. Knowledgeable, efficient and certified! And a nice person.

Kirk and his assistant Tom were fantastic! They arrived early, did a thorough job, explained everything they were doing. Last year I had a different company come and they mostly pointed out problems but didn't address them! Kirk addressed all of the issues, making our wood burning stove and chimney (that we use to heat the house all winter) more efficient and fire safe! 100% would recommend and we plan to use them every year!

Captain Kirk truly goes where no chimney sweep in my 12 years in West County has gone before! He’s personable, professional, has all the certifications and knows how to apply them in service of an exceptional customer experience. He inspires confidence, is honest and transparent and made me realize that some of my previous sweeps experience was buying a broom and watching Mary Poppins. He evaluated the stated and construction of our chimneys and advised us on their care and updates for fire safety which I so appreciated. I would trust him with any and all future chimney work! Oh and he also does dryer vents!

Captain Kirk was great--he called to see if he could arrive early, then proceeded to scrub out our chimney and inspect our stove. He put down drop cloths, and cleaned every up after wards. He was great!

Checked posts on Next Door a few days ago, looking for recommendations for a chimney sweep. Two came highly recommended by locals, but only one replied to my website message. Captain Kirk's Chimney Service made it a priority to get me onto his schedule immediately, as we had been without heat since last Tuesday (a week ago) due to a clogged chimney cap screen.

Kirk and his apprentice came out today and spent a few hours here, checking and adding screws to the stove pipes (which were loose), replacing my chimney cap (which was beyond repair), regluing the loose rope gasket, and, of course, sweeping my chimney. They were both personable, friendly, and professional, and left the premises clean. The charge was reasonable; in fact, it was a bit less than what I expected. I signed up to be contacted by Kirk's Service on an annual basis, as I was well pleased, will be happy to use them again, and refer them to others!

Kirk did a great job on our chimneys and wood burning stoves. He checked everything carefully, cleaned and repaired, adjusted and advised where it was needed. He has safe, top notch equipment (with hepa filters) and worked very clean, didn't leave a trace. He is a profesional plus a very pleasant person to work with, the best!

Overall, a great experience. The worker carefully cleaned all of the ducts. A lot of the dust that had built up was taken away. The air quality got better after the cleaning. Now the house feels better and more fresh. Very good service suggested.

Black dust came out of the vents as the AC began. The technician described how duct debris might loosen over time. The system was thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed. The vents are now particle-free. Huge relief.
