I scheduled an inspection with this company. They did not arrive or call to let me know they were running late. When I called them 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment, they said they were not sure if they could make it and asked to reschedule. Needless to say, we did not want to reschedule. Not reliable or professional.

Initially had scheduled for an inspection and cleaning, unexpectedly had to reschedule, and when we did reschedule for the 21st, they no call no showed, and now I can’t get an answer or call back to reschedule after leaving a voicemail. 😟

On November 14, 2019, I contacted the number listed and received a message from Jason asking for my name and address, which I provided. He stated he would send me some appointment options. Here it is November 26th, and I have yet to hear anything from him.

This seems to be a recurring issue with this company, after reading the reviews. It say a lot about a company when their customer service is lacking.

I will be looking elsewhere.

Jason, the owner showed up promptly, on time, did a total facelift and repair on my 45 year old fireplace and chimney and it works great. A little attention to cleanup detail would have earned 5 stars, but other wise, satisfied.

Leak repair and new chimney cap were installed- I thought- in a timely manner. However 9 months later my chimney leaked worse than ever. I friend got a ladder and climbed on the roof to see if the chimney cap was loose. What he found was a disastrous mess. I called the company and was told someone would get back to me days ago. Now no one answers the phone.

I called them to inspect 2 chimneys on a house I am flipping on signal mountain. They gave me a list of $2700 worth of work they recommend but never told me whether the chimney was safe or not. $230 wasted. Some of the work included sealing the fire place, and tuck pointing the exterior of the chimney. I got a real strong cheesy scam feeling from these guys.

Tuesday late afternoon I call Chattanooga chimney I explain I had a chimney leaking and it was flooding my house they immediately send out a crew & temporarily secure it and follow up the next day with repairs . I just want to say thanks for the amazing job . I will recommend to others.

Unprofessional is an understatement. Paid for a chimney repair and seal, chimney is still leaking. Called and scheduled 3 appts regarding the leak, CC&F did not show up to either appt, didn't call to say they were not coming, and won't return any calls. Nothing but excuses and the runaround with this company for months. Shady business practices. Would NOT recommend.

I have used Chattanooga Chimney for years. They are always on time and have always done a great job. Phillip one of their techecin has always been very curtious and professional and represents Chattanooga Chimney well. I would recommend them for any chimney work you may have.

So far very satisfied. I have not had work done yet , just estimate. Price is satisfactory and explanation of work to be done was direct, knowledgeable,and showed confidence that repairs could be made reasonably, quickly, and with warrantied service.

Chimney wasn’t working when purchased house. Had this company come out to inspect and clean both chimney & fireplace. Was told was completed and reason not working was due to propane line issues and gas company would need to fix, and fireplace wasn’t cleaned. Gas company said everything on their end was working, and again had this company come out. Again said was gas company issue and nothing could do, and “cleaned”. One of the workers said other was lying about being able to fix it. Ended up having another company come out to get fireplace working and they did….which they said accomplished simply by cleaning the fireplace & equipment.

I hired them to do a chimney cleaning. They were here less than 30 minutes and spent less than 5 minutes cleaning. The rest of the time was spent writing up all kinds of repairs that were suppossedly needed. Said they could do them today for $2300. No thanks. I was charged $300 and still have a dirty chimney. Do your homework before hiring a chimney sweep. I should have stayed with the one I used last time out of Cleveland. They cleaned it really well and didn't identify any of these issues.

Initially I was VERY pleased with the work done by Chattanooga Chimney. We had them re-mortar and waterproof a chimney that had been leaking and ended up paying almost $5,000 for the repairs. They said they guarantee their work and did end up coming back once to try to fix the chimney again when it continued to leak. The chimney is STILL leaking and I cannot get anyone from this company to answer or return my phone calls or texts. I have been completely ghosted and will now have to find and pay a different company to do the job we have already paid this company to do for us. I cannot recommend them to anyone after the experience I’ve had in the past several months trying to get them to come out and guarantee the repair that is still not complete.

First appt they didn’t show up for, rescheduled then they called me two hours after appt time to say they weren’t going to make it. Said they would contact me for reschedule. Never did. Called them, finally showed up, again very late, vacuumed soot from my chimney and sprayed it across three rooms. Half way cleaned it up, gave me a bill for 175$, never called back, wouldn’t return calls. The previous home owner had an service in June from the Same company making repairs to the fire place and installing a rain cap. At my inspection they called out all of the same items needing repairs for 2k$. Asked about the previous repairs no call back. Unbelievably poor service. FIND ANYONE ELSE TO DO YOUR WORK. Note: Owner of the company decided to respond almost 2.5 years later to this post saying I was wrong in my recollection of events. There is your answer for customer service. Pathetic.

I am editing my previous review of 1 star, that I gave due to a missed appointment and failure to return my calls and texts for a reschedule.

Jason and his team went out of their way to make the oversights up to us, and I feel did a truly fantastic job in the process. They came by today- must have worked us into their very busy schedule- and quickly and efficiently assessed our fireplace and chimney issues, provided explanations and photos to back up their recommendations, and seemed to do a very thorough job of addressing our problems. I am glad we were able to work it out. And I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Was aware fireplace needed work ahead of time. Philip was thorough in educating me why I needed such repairs. He showed up (early) on time both for inspection and repair work, promptly did the job.

I had asked ahead of time to remove the propane line since we were converting to wood fireplace. Unfortunately it was left there after the repairs were made, so when I texted them they promptly responded and came out the next morning to remove.

All in all the work looks great and am very appreciative of the clarity, punctuality and masonry. Will update in the future when we have fires as it's still late summer.

They are scheduled to install my gas log set. Another local company recommended them. Excited!

They postponed their original appointment on early Monday afternoon by giving just over an hour's notice. That is better than some stories I've read. The appointment has been rescheduled to tomorrow morning. I'll see how it goes and update the review tomorrow.

- update - The crew texted when they were en-route and showed up pretty much on time. After then inspection, Jason recommended a set of work items to 1.) save the masonry, 2.) get the fireplace functional, and 3.) preserve it for about the next decade. We split the work up to 2 days about a week apart. 1/2 of the work was completed immediately following the inspection. 1/2 payment was also made at that time. I will update this review, add some pictures, and the overall score after the next visit.

- update 2 - The crew communicated and arrived on time and on task. They were able to complete the damper, interior lining and firebox repairs in a timely manner. They also took good care on the inside of our home and left the work area as clean as it was to begin with. Some of the products they used on the 2 visits carry warranties, however they did not have the materials with them (Jason was not with on this visit). Ginny sent me the warranty information electronically shortly after they had left.

All in all, I was very happy with the communication, work and follow-up.

Wow, that's incredible! After they cleaned it, our fireplace worked like new.

A professional chimney cleaning service that is easy to get in touch with. Everything was made obvious.

Very well planned and quick chimney work. The tech was careful while working and cleaned up the area afterward.
