Had the chimney cap removed and rebuilt, new rain caps installed, and a stainless liner installed for the hot water heater. They had an opportunity to get to my smaller job sooner by fitting it in between larger jobs. The work was done efficiently and with care for our home. Clean up was great. Everyone was polite and pleasant to deal with.

I would highly recommend Eddie and C&FW. Cost was reasonable - about half of some of the other quotes we received. Eddie is very reachable and responsive throughout the whole process. The crew was very respectful, punctual, did a nice job and cleaned up well when they were done. I would definitely use these guys for any chimney or masonry project.

We were very happy with our first chimney cleaning in October 2020 and have called Chimney & Fireplace Works for our next cleaning. They were professional and left our place spotless. They got back to us quickly with the invoice (also, we benefited from a local discount for our first visit so check those local coupons!).

Eddie was great to work with and has a lot of experience!! He was prompt, courteous, and kept the clients house neat and clean. I will use him again for chimney inspections/cleanings and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Had company come out to give us a quote on installing a new cap on our chimney and have yet to receive a quote after reaching out several times to the owner Eddie. Spoke with him once after the inspection was done a few weeks ago (I called him) and he said he would get a quote to us via e-mail and have heard nothing since. Have called twice to follow-up since and have received no responses via e-mail or phone. Very unprofessional and poor business practices in my opinion. If company cannot or does not want to complete a customers job, at least tell them….never leave them hanging like this.

Eddie was great! Prompt, educational and efficient. He thoroughly explained everything and left me feeling like I knew how to work and maintain my fireplace setting. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an effective inspection at a great price.

Chimney and Fireplace Works was very responsive to what we needed and wanted done. Eddie was very helpful throughout the entire process. Very happy with our decision to use them after getting bids from other companies and changing our mind with what the overall project involved.

We had our chimney crown replaced a few years ago, and while the work was good, as far as I can tell now, it was on the high side of cost (according to google searches done since then). At the time we were moving into a new house and didn't take the time to shop around, so were probably taken for a ride.

During a very busy season for fireplace/chimney inspectors, Eddie made us a priority. The first sign of excellent customer service. He followed up to an “SOS” email that I sent him almost instantly, calling me to talk in person and to get more details. Eddie ended up at our home later that same day. He was able to confirm that a previous inspection of our fireplace (hired by potential buyers of our home) was completely irrelevant and inaccurate. He even came back a second time (at no cost) to double check another concern from the buyers, and again, ensured the previous inspectors statements were 100% false. He saved us money, gave us peace of mind, and proved that there are good people out there who are professional and do everything they can to best serve their customers. Thank you, Eddie. I called Chimney and fireplace works and they scheduled me a visit in a couple of days. When Eddie from the company came out he was prompt, on time, and very friendly. He swept the chimney and left no mess. He wrote an accurate estimate for all the work that was needed with a fair price and they stand behind their work. They were the best price I had among four different companies and the work was fantastic. They came back out to make some adjustments free of charge as well and then called again afterwards to ensure I was satisfied. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I may not use all of the right terms, but we had such a great experience, I had to share..Eddie came to our home and explained the importance of cleaning the chimney and maintaining the cap. Apparently, ours had come loose at some point. We bought the home and had no idea if they had ever cleaned the chimney or not. We were surprised at how much soot had built up in there! It was also surprising how clean the process was! Eddie was extremely professional..another company tried to shame us into purchasing their services. All they did was embarrass and offend us. He explained that most people are like us and had no idea how dangerous it is to just let it go for too long. As it turns out, we learned later that the previous owners actually had a chimney fire. It destroyed the master bedroom and bath in the middle of the night! We are forever grateful for his willingness to help us and he offered services we could afford. We would give a higher recommendation if we could!

Absolutely great experience. The owner Eddie was very responsive and reasonable with his quote. We had a few other quotes and Chimney and Fireplace was very reasonable and did the best job detailing out the work and warrantying their work. Can't recommend them more, thanks guys!

When our fireplace stopped working, we called several fireplace repair companies in the area. We had someone from another company come out and look at the fireplace for well over an hour before giving up and NOT fixing it. They told us there were likely several things wrong and they would need to order several parts and come back out to finish the job. We couldn't get in touch with them again, so we called Chimney & Fireplace Works. The scheduling was easy, the price was fair, and Eddie was able to fix and clean our fireplace in only 20 minutes. I'd give them 6 stars if I could! Really impressed with their quality of service, expertise, and honesty. Definitely going with them again for any future fireplace needs!

Excellent service and craftsmanship at a fair price. Two chimneys were repaired and brought up to code. The brick was matched perfectly. All workers were friendly and courteous. Because the repair was done late in the fall, necessary waterproofing could not be completed due to cold temperatures. Eddie promptly sent workers this spring to complete the waterproofing. Highly recommended.

After missing my fires, and being worried for family's safety for days, I called and asked for emergency inspection. I was impressed with only a 3 day wait (since they're actually booked months in advance). Eddie came over on time at my convenience later at night. He did a cleaning and patch job (He got super dirty) while he was working he taught me about fireplace repair, safety and replacements. Made me feel comfortable again to use my own fireplace. Thank you. Absolutely worth the extra $. He even cleaned the glass doors!!! Both sides!!

Eddie, the owner, and the office staff were all amazing...friendly, helpful and super responsive. We had a problem with our rain cap that wasn't urgent, but they got out there within the week. And when Eddie was onsite he gave a thorough inspection and exceptional customer service. In fact, he went above & beyond on such a small job to make our lives easier. It was a pleasure working with everyone from Chimney & Fireplace Works. We will definitely be using Eddie for all our fireplace needs from here on out.

My dad had Eddie fix his gas fireplace a couple of weeks ago; he loved Eddie and recommended him to me. I was so impressed with Eddie. He was on time, respectful of health guidelines to wear a face mask in my home, and extremely helpful. I needed help turning on my gas fireplace, and he instructed me through the process. He also noticed that my condo association has rusted chimney caps and suggested that we replace them - I am grateful he pointed that out.
At the end, I was ready to compensate him for his time and work, but he extended the gesture to not charge me because the lighting of the pilot took 5 minutes - so generous and kind on his part!
We've found the company to go to and recommend for any fireplace needs.

I received prompt, professional, reasonably priced service from C&FW. My service was scheduled on my first phone call to business, which lasted just a few minutes. The owner did the work himself, solving a couple of unexpected problems without fuss along the way. My woodburning stove and chimney were thoroughly cleaned, and billing was smooth and easy. I expect to reuse their service annually (especially given my experiences over the last 5 years with other Madison-based options).

They were great! The owner Eddie was honest about the cost to repair compared to removing our chimney and put in a liner then a metal top. We chose the removal and liner. The removal showed that was a great choice as well as cost effective. Our home is 80 years old, the brick crumbled in my hands. They sealed and put new shingles in place. They explained what they were doing and were great about answering questions. I highly recommend this company.

What a great experience! The owner Eddie was very responsive and very in tune with the climate of the day with the Covid19. He was able to give us an estimate via a quick visit and pictures from inside the house. Then, the team came and began the work very observant of the social distancing and making sure to clean up the site. The lead guy, Casey, who did the work in the house made sure to explain what he was doing and the time he needed to be inside the house. Once the work was complete, we received a call from the owner and he stopped by to check the work and see if we had any issues. We had a small lean in one of the chimney posts but Eddie made a quick adjustment and fixed our concerns. If you need a great team and great leaders to get you work completed well and timely.
