Working with Roni, Ben, Idahome Dream Builders, and Cutting Edge Kitchens and all of their subcontractors was a joy! First of all, finding someone in the Treasure Valley who is willing to work on an old house is a triumph in and of itself. We made so many calls and talked to so many people about major renovations on our 1959 ranch home and continually got ghosted. I was almost out of hope when I called Idahome and started my process with Roni. Immediately, she was a fantastic partner and invested in our project. Roni and Ben know so much about construction and remodeling and were able to problem solve every bump in the road throughout our process. The group of employees and subcontractors that Roni and Ben have built relationships with were all reliable, quality, trustworthy workers. On top of mind as really standout subcontractors were Miguel (electrician), Jhonny (refinishing wood floors), David (dry wall/texture), and Justin (paint)!

Our project was quite comprehensive and included completely gutting our existing kitchen, taking down walls, refinishing all the hardwood floors, new windows and doors, retexturing and painting the walls, major electrical updates, new cabinets, new counters, and all the small things in between. The construction process went surprisingly smoothly and Roni kept me up to date on any changes to cost and the schedule throughout. As with any project, there were bumps in the road, however, Roni and Ben stayed calm and focused and problem solved immediately any issues that arose.

Living through a major home renovation is not easy. Roni and Ben were empathetic throughout the process and kept everything streamlined and moving along. Having your home torn apart is somewhat terrifying, but because of my trust and relationship with Roni I knew that we were in good hands.

There are not enough good things I can say about working with Idahome Dream Builders! I would recommend them to anyone for a project large or small. Anyone considering a renovation should know they would be in experienced, honest, quality, and trustworthy hands working with Roni and Ben. We completely remodeled our home in 4 1/2 months with Roni and Ben’s - Idahome Dream Builders help. This was a major project which included moving stairs, moving the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Only 1 room in a 3000+ sq foot house wasn’t effective. All of the wiring and plumbing was redone and HVAC vents were moved. This was not your typical remodel/update.
All of IDB’s employees and subcontractors are fantastic.
The entire house turned out beautiful and we recommend IDB’s 100%.

Roni did a great job walking us through the remodeling process. She explained to us the pros and cons of different material choices. She also gave us a very detailed list of expenses on our wish list before we started so we could more easily decide what was in our budget and timeline.

Left with a project pending and not knowing who to call, our electrician gave us the best recommendation ever. He suggested that I contact Roni at Idahome Dream Builders. This was like hitting the Mother Lode in finding a business that took care of everything. Both Roni and Ben are very personable, and they take care of their customers. From start to finish, the job was quality craftsmanship, precise measurements taken, excellent choice of subs to come into our home to do the granite, tile, and painting. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for! We are very happy with the finished product. Now, all I have to do is start organizing my small appliances and stock the pantry to begin enjoying this masterpiece in our five (5) year old home.

We just finished transforming our primary bath with the help of Roni at Idahome Dream Builders. She made the process very easy with her guidance and wonderful communication. It was fun to pick out all of the "pretties" in making your dream bathroom a reality. Our design strategy was a hospital accessible bathroom that did not look like a hospital accessible bathroom--goal achieved. All of the contractors were great to work with; personable, working late to get the job done, accommodating and helping us understand the decisions we needed to make, professional, and artistic! We really enjoyed the whole process and we never had to worry about getting the project done. Roni was on top of everything and excellent at communicating when decisions needed to be made or changes. We will be having them renovatedour living room and kitchen next!

Kristy was great. I had very specific questions that laid the groundwork for a whole-house design approach. Kristy and Refinery Interiors helped with us evolve our house’s style during a recent remodel. She re-worked a floor plan for our family room that took it from outdated and semi-functional to a modern (but classic) space that we now love to use. After admiring Kristy's creative and interior work for 15+ years, I was beyond excited to have Refinery Interiors design our kitchen. Our house was built in 1920 and had suffered through several random "updates," leaving our kitchen especially dark and dated. Kristy worked within our budget to totally reimagine the space into the most charming room that we now enjoy gathering in. Her vision honored the era of the house, selecting vintage-inspired light fixtures and cabinet pulls, and a lovely color palette of blues and greens that softened up the space. Her choice of wallpaper wows everyone who walks into the room, and her guidance for updating the cabinets gave them a pretty new look without the expense of installing new ones. She also selected a new table and chairs that make the room feel more spacious and was a pro at suggesting new lighting sources that have brightened the room considerably. We were in love the moment she showed us her design proposal and she delivered 100%+! Kristy was super easy to work with, communicated well, and had so many great ideas for even the smallest details.

We were very happy with the work done by Brad and his crew. We had floor finished with the UV coating and love the look and feel and hardness of the coating. Brad and his crew were professional and a pleasure to have working in our home. We have already recommended A-max to friends and will do so in the future without hesitation.

We had our 11 year old floors stained and refinished at the same time added a new addition by replacing the carpet with hardwood down the hallway. A-max team did a great job on the install and tied the hallway and kitchen in perfectly. I trusted the friendly crew in my house while at work and knowing that they were not sub contractors but employees of A-max set my mind at ease.
One of the major reasons we selected A-max was the chemical product they use allowed my family and I to stay at home at night and keep our food in the house. Other companies I contacted use harsh chemical products that home evacuation is needed up to 48 hours and remove all food items . This is another money saver by allowing my family to stay home instead of finding a hotel.

I own a duplex in Boise and one of the unit's previous tenants destroyed the hardwood floors. I did not even think they were repairable. Luckily i found this company and they helped me a lot. I live in California, so flying out there and dealing with stuff is difficult. The guys at A max went to the place took pictures and sent me a quote. I did fly out once, but only once! After they were done, the floors looked like new. Very impressed by their responsiveness and quality of work. They were fair with their pricing and I will definitely be using them in the future!! GREAT WORK!

My experience with a-maxhardwood was great!
I had existing hardwoods in my kitchen and dining room and wanted to continue them into my main living area and stairs leading up to my loft. Tyson came out and told me how they would be able to match the floors with no problem, and they did! I chose to leave my house while the work was done. When I got home I walked into what I can only say was breathtaking. Everyday I smile and am so pleased with the job that Eli and Allen did!

I needed to have some repair work done to my current hardwood floor as well as having it refinished. At the same time I had new hardwood put in the master bedroom, replacing carpet. All the work done was awesome...it looks beautiful; I've received comments from family and friends on how nice it looks. These guys are all easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and friendly - from getting the estimate to finishing the job. I would definitely hire them again for any future work!
