I've had good experiences with Trugreen. I started with them on a plan that just treated the weeds coming up in the gravel around my shrubs and, seeing good results with that, upgraded to have them take care of my lawn. I had to have the first application repeated in each case but, I had some stubborn weeds. Steve has been great with answering questions and scheduling and their techs have gone above and beyond.

I always appreciate the professionalism with each service. The txt updates are also extremely nice to get. Thank you for keeping my lawn look its BEST!

We have used this company for years. Last Summer we had a small brown dead spot. After countless calls and trying to get a solid answer or help, we now have an unsightly dead yard. Continuing to pay this company in hopes they keep to their word. I'm giving up. What we got for $500.00 in 2023 was a vandalized yard. Thanks True Green!!!

I used to have TruGreen service my trees and shrubs. I was on a yearly contract. However, when 1/2 of one of my shrubs turned brown and appeared to die, TrueGreen only cared about what they did, not what they didn't do. In other words, you pay for a service, for which you have no say in what they do or don't do and if something goes wrong, they take no responsibility for acts of omission. I paid them over $370.00 last year for this service. Not to mention it took them 11 days and 2 phone calls to even get a manager to come and look at the problem.

We hired TruGreen in hopes of a beautiful green lawn. We have now had to spend extra money on SOD because of their lack of attention! From the start we did not get any results but the kicker came when we called them and told them that we had found grubs in the lawn. They came out and left us a note that stated that we did not have grubs! We called back again and told them we pulled some of the grubs out and had them in a cup if they could come back out and see them! They came back out and say they treated for grubs but we had almost half of our lawn eaten by the bugs you could just pull it up there were no roots left. Because this went on so long we had to pull out the dead areas and add new sod so that our HOA would not fine us! Now I can not get a call back from anyone at TruGreen! Locally or at corporate! I feel sorry for their call center people they have been amazing at taking my calls and handling my frustration! Unfortunately they can't help me!

Absolutely dissatisfied with the service of this company. Potential customers, please take the time to read the rest of this review. After several applications of treatment our lawn was still damaged.We talked to the techs at our residence. Techs did not know how to diagnose our lawn . Called the office and made a complaint. Asked is it normal for customers to diagnose their own lawns. We were told a manager would call and come to our home to try to make the situation right. After waiting two weeks, We never received a call the manager never showed. I called again, I was directed to a call center. The office never picked up their own phone. THe system kicked me to a call center. They took my billing information. No notes on the issue was entered by the manager. They did have my complaint. The manager logged business as normal. No new treatment. No mention of a manager coming to our home to make things right. I canceled my account with tru green.

Kyle has been the main person providing us with service treatments He is knowledgable and very professional and respectful He is familiar with our property I am so comfortable knowing he is the one coming to help our lawn and trees He is a 10 / 10

Disappointed in Tru Green. I hired them to get rid of bugs I have in my lawn a few years ago. Fast forward to now, and I still have bugs (verified by a tech) but management told me otherwise, but wouldn’t even come out to look at my lawn or return my phone calls. One manager named Derek gave me his cell number but refused to return my calls after sending him pictures showing the damage. They eventually told me there was nothing they could do and to find another company. Would not recommend.

TruGreen Lawn Care goes above and beyond!! They were our 4th landscaper to use, we couldn’t find anyone before them who compares!! We are so glad to finally find a company who is reliable, professional, and provides A++ service & at a responsible price. If you’re looking for a landscaper highly recommend!!

The yard treatment applications are good but I didn’t get any online or printed reports of what was actually applied like they used to do.

This is our 5th summer using true green. We had a beautiful yard, weed free and green. This year the weeds are horrible, they have no local number to call the office in your area- wait times are long and then the call center has zero information about what actually was done on your lawn that day and won't let you talk to the local office. I don't even think they sprayed weeds last time they came, they all looked the same and we have more and more. It looks as bad as when we started service 5 years ago

Trugreen (located in Meridian Idaho) is the most incompetent dishonest organization I have ever dealt with.They are supposed to be fertilizing/ weed feeding my lawn and I swear they are spraying nothing but water. My lawn after 7 treatments look's worse than lawns with no treatment at all. Trying to call customer service is a total nightmare and you get nothing but excuses and useless promises.

They have promised multiple times ( 5 since I started counting) to have someone come out to my home and diagnose what the issue is. To date not one has showed up. I received one phone call from some low level manager who still kept making excuses over the phone about why no one has shown up as promised. The others simply didn't show up as promised. No phone calls, no apologies , nothing. They just didn't show up as promised.

Take a look at my pictures that NO ONE in this inept organization has seen or asked for even when I have offered them. These dead patches are everywhere and spreading. I intend to post these pictures showing Trugreen's incredibly outrageous performance and response on the largest HOA in Idaho which I belong to as well as on the second largest that I also belong to. .

And to the "manager" who claimed I "threatened " him when I told him I was going to share them on my HOA it is not a threat. It's a promise.

I emailed from the response below and still have not received a response. We will not be renewing our services!

We are not able to speak to anybody local with this company when you call. We cannot even get a supervisor to come out to take a look at a continued issue of red fungus aka rust lawn that is not being treated properly that we paid to be treated. Our request for a phone call back from a supervisor and a visit to look have not occurred.

We received our first TruGreen application for the season today. Their employee did excellent job applying the fertilizer. He was informative, friendly and on time.

I used TruGreen last year and it went fine. Now it's gone so far downhill I just quit them and am pursuing a dispute for the $93 they just charged me. The representative who last serviced my lawn on 7/5 rang the doorbell quick then took a fast walk around my house not realizing I was home and could see him - one quick swath next to the house, 30 seconds, popped a flag on the edge of the back lawn, left and I was auto-charged $93. I didn't have time to react - but 9 days later my lawn is suddenly sprouting weeds everywhere except the tiny swath next to the house and I have guests arriving this weekend. I tried emailing. The auto response says "sorry, we're short staffed" and didn't get back. I tried the chat line. It hung up on me while I was attempting to type what happened. I'm done. I'm filing a CC dispute for the $93 I was just charged and cancelled. This was a near $900 a year contract. Downright fraud, and no luck getting a response from the company.

I've been with TG for over four years... and these are the results... but as as soon as the bill comes up they're quick to charge you. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

2/13/2026 Had to cancel my service. Didnt get a message on my phone, that they were even coming on the day they came to my residence. (2/10/2026) I just got back in town and noticed with the little sign in my yard and on my door....Charged me $151.93 to my account and from the time they pulled up to the time they left....was literally 11:42 a.m. and put a note on my door at 11:52 a.m...... I live on an acre, with a huge yard and my cameras around my house and property....showed a young gentleman who walked quickly with a handheld fertilizer spreader and the note on the door said they used 51.75 lbs of fertilizer.....which is impossible within 10 minutes of being at my property. Thats horrible service and makes me not trust Trugreen. What a joke. Do it right!

My lawn has never look better. I love my lawn! Tru-green has great employees and they communicate with the customer always. I had them last year and I got them again this year.

I was scheduled to have someone from TruGreen come out to my home to provide winter fertilization. No one showed up either time. I called on 12/16 to terminate my service. Today, I receive a text from Steve with TruGreen to remind me of my service start date in February. I told him I had canceled service and he instructed me to call TruGreen, directly, as it shows my service is still active. I called and spoke with Michael who wanted to argue with me, stating my service was to start in March. He blames me for being confused yet offers nothing but excuses when I told him someone was scheduled to be here on 12/15 before 2:30 to fertilize my lawn. They (TruGreen) scheduled this appointment, not me. Absolutely unprofessional. Two no-call/no-shows is unacceptable and no way to start a business relationship.

Too soon to rate the results of the treatment TrueGreen ( Boise) provided as it was just two weeks ago they came out for first time. I will say they were very responsive in getting back to me after my initial call and came out for first treatment within a few days. The tech that came out, Zachary was awesome! Informative , quick and very personable. He alone deserves 5 stars for his customer service.

I received a promo and decided to explore the services. The individual who signed me up was great at first. Ultimately, I signed up for two services, only ever received one, was charged for both, and could not get a response to my calls or texts after that.
The reason for giving TruGreen two stars was that the initial experience was solid and when I called their support line to cancel and get a refund for the service I didn't receive, they were very helpful. They successfully cancelled everything and refunded my money for the unperformed service.
