Ed always makes sure you are taken care of and i like that he delivers and takes your old appliances, and is very good shape and you know they work because ed is great at what he does! He swapped out a fridge one time for Lafon Hance

When I called the person answering the phone was both kind and professional, the time frame was set between 2 and 4pm and the tech showed up at 2:15. He was professional, explained everything he was doing and had our freezer up and functioning inside of 20 minutes. I will be recommending this company to others!

Called the appliance king on a referral from another local appliance repair company who said they could not fix my more modern washer. When the appliance King arrived I took him to show him my washer and he pressed in the inside of it and said this has been overloaded and probably is going to cost $600 to fix for this LE code. I was shocked and we agreed it would probably cost just as much to replace it. I ended up doing a bit more research on this LE code and found that it's commonly the stator. I ordered the stator from Amazon for $130. Moved the washer and found that the bolt holding the cover over the stater had fallen completely off. I did not replace the stator, just reinstalled the nut and returned the stator and ordered new shocks for the unit because they were "worn out". I spent about $60 on this "$600 repair...." Not including the $45 service call fee that I received from the appliance King. The problem here is I called for a diag and all he did was press on the inside of the drum and told me that the LE code was because it was overloaded, he didn't know what the code was obviously. It's a lockout code because the stator can't lock itself out.
My advice is to call someone that wants to fix your washer not someone that wants to collect it after your replace yours, so he can fix it and resell it himself. That was the only other thing that he offered to do for me was to remove the broken unit...

I bought a washer and dryer works really great also it came with a 6 month warranty. I thought I had a leak on my washer, so I gave them a call and they came right away to check my washer. What I loved about the process when they came to check my washer is the fact they explained everything and showed me everything in detail during the inspection of my washer being repaired. Great service!!

I used them for a used refrigerator replacement, and months later we still do not have a working fridge for my tenant. They are willing to come back out and look at the appliance, but nothing gets fixed. I see they responded.

Edit: i’m not here to argue over Google reviews, however I am happy to say I would change my review if I got an actual resolution.

Ed came out to my house last year to replace my water heater and did a fantastic job. The second day I noticed a small drip coming from a line and called. He was back out within a couple hours to tighten up the system. It’s been just over a year and everything has been great. The price is literally half of what the box stores quoted for install and it was such a quick visit.

You truly get what you pay for. If you can afford to go elsewhere - I highly suggest.
We purchased a washer and dryer last year when we moved into our house and thought we'd be golden for a year or two until we could afford what we actually wanted. Well, the washer started leaking less than a month in so we had to have them come fix it. That was under warranty, so cool.
Then a few months later the washing machine is leaking every other load in the same spot. I can tell that our floors are starting to get water damage so I call them to have it fixed. They come out and give me a replacement while they fix mine, and the replacement has the same exact leak and is FILTHY dirty when it's hooked up at my house. Really? When I call to let them know that one is leaking too, the lady who answers the phone gives me major attitude saying I haven't paid yet. You're the one who's supposed to collect payment right? No one had asked until that moment.
Once my washer is back the guy gives me a hard time about how his boss is clearly on his case to make sure this washer is all fixed while doubting that what I'm saying is even true. My fiancé is deployed and I felt totally disrespected being a woman that they didn't trust my word. He tests it 3x, takes a video for his boss, and it doesn't leak so he leaves.
Well, shocker - a month later it starts leaking again. Now it leaks every single load whether it's bedding and a big blanket or 6 pairs of socks alone being washed. It also isn't spinning correctly so loads are soaking wet when the cycle is done. My floors are ruined and it's not even worth bothering to talk to them about.
This situation could've been remedied by a dose of customer service and respect for women but they completely failed in that department.
We ordered a new washing machine and will NOT be going back and will NOT be recommending them to anyone we know.

Edit: Honestly, whoever came to install the microwave was incredibly kind. Whoever answers the phone is not. For the record, NOT all renters remain that way; some become homeowners. Yes, a little kindness goes a long way. Even your reply was mean, and reminds me to never call you when I need help.

I tried to schedule a time for them to install a microwave at my residence. No answer. Left a message. It was only 2pm and their hours are until 5 pm. Called again. Nothing. No response back until the following day. No available installation dates for another week. Even when trying to be kind and simply ask why the delay, I was instead treated rudely and abrupt. This is the worst kind of business there is. Just find someone else. A little kindness can go a long way.

As a Property Manager, and one small business to another, I could not appreciate Appliance King more. They always treat our Tenants well and do all they can to accommodate schedules. The best part about working with Appliance King is their flexibility with repairs and if the repairs don't work or would be too costly, they have been able to provide us with refurbished appliances. We've used them for years and highly recommend them!

I am not happy. We waited 2 weeks for a part to come in and when it did, our appointment was pushed back 2 days because of illness with the technician. When he arrived, He apparently replaced the part which took about 20 minutes. After he left, the machine was still not working.

I called back to see if we could have him return to see why the washer machine was still not working. I was told then, that he could not come back today and that we would have to wait until Friday today is Wednesday.

I have been patient throughout this process. However, today's developments are totally unacceptable and very disappointing. If this is the level of customer service to be expected then I would recommend going elsewhere.

All in all, we wasted time and money. Not to mention the money we have spent at the laundry mat.

And come to find out, the technican is the owner and only person apparently working at this business. If you are not able to provide good customer service, what is the point in being in business in the first place.

    Update: 6-20-22

I want to be clear about one thing. I did not use foul language toward your office person and by the way.

I ordered the part you said you replaced with one I ordered from Amazon 1/3rd the price you charged me, it was delivered the next day and I made the repair myself. Washer machine has been working fine since.

What a wonderful experience I've had with Ed. Not only are his rates the cheapest I've seen in the entire Boise area, $45 for a service call, He didn't charge any extra once he got here. I had $5 in miscellaneous supplies and my total repair was 50 bucks! Plus he checked out a couple other things for me while he was here, like without even asking he checked the connections on my outdoor freezer just to make sure that they weren't loose. Ed is super nice, and professional, I felt really comfortable having him in my home. I know he runs a store as well, I will definitely be going there the next time I need a new appliance.

This review is for a rental property being serviced in nampa, called by my tenants at my request. Appliance king told my tenants to wait for 24 hours and leave the power off to the fridge. When that didnt fix anything the tech came out spent almost no time and told my tenants the fridge wasn't worth working on because it was about 20 years old and they could throw parts at it but it probably wouldnt work anyway. My poor tenants were left without Refrigeration for a week up to this point. I hired another company same day to troubleshoot the problem and he diagnosed it within minutes as the evaporator fan for a total cost of $300. It is a large freezer bottom in mint condition. For me to replace it with the same specifications it would be $1,000 and a hassle. Just being old is not a good enough reason not to diagnose the issue. He should have performed diagnostics....if not...dont charge us a service fee. Im sure they are great for sales and their stores are nice but dont call them for service.

If you want to do 90% of the job yourself, find the problem yourself and have to wait a week and a half to have your washer fixed because they can't order the correct parts then have staff give you attitude when the job is finally "done" because you called back to say "hey the repair guy just left and said everything was fixed but its still not working for us" then go to Appliance King! -he didn't even test it before claiming it was "fixed" and forgot to turn the water back on-Simple fix but not the customers job to find that fix. When I tried to call back to say "no need to send him back out I found the issues" my calls were ignored, sent to voicemail after 2 rings so they had no idea it was fixed and go figure no one ever came back to check the final issue. I was being very patient when it came to all the mistakes they kept making and having to wait twice for parts. Only for them to be rude in the end and had to fix another mistake they made. Terrible customer service and based on the reviews I'm seeing now just confirms how poor their service is. No accountability for their mistakes and lack of effort!

I cleared my schedule so they could be here “between 8-5” today, which isn’t a big deal. I make my own schedule, so I worked from home. But here we are at the end of the day and I’m wheeling the machines back inside. No call, no message, no show.

I’m not saying they are a bad company by any means. But at the very least call me. I waited a week for this appointment. If I’d known this was a possibility I would have loaded them myself and taken them somewhere. Even their place.

I had the whole back story typed out but it's too long... Long story short, they were unable to fix my Samsung fridge. I also had to be the one reaching out to them for updates back when they were still trying to diagnose the problem, as periods of time would pass without updates. The lady did provide me an update one time that she was still looking into it. Finally, I just asked for a refund for my $60 service fee as they were unable to diagnose/fix the fridge. The lady asked for the last 4 of my card number but I wasn't sure which one I had used to pay. I gave her the most likely number. Never heard another word from her and never got my refund. This was at the end of March. I shouldn't have to keep calling and requesting a refund. And I also shouldn't of had to be the one to call and basically ask if they forgot about me. I understand life happens and running a business is all consuming, but I am disappointed at the lack of follow through during the process as well as the lack of follow through on my refund.

Update: Thank you for the response & for looking into it.

Very quick to respond, was here in only a couple of hours. Ed was thorough and took the time to explain things. Very honest and fair pricing. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Appliance King was recommended to us by a couple of different people and now we know why. We are adding them to our list of preferred repair contacts and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again. As a matter of fact I’ve already set an appointment with him for next week for a problem dishwasher.
