Lawn Doctor is the best! We've been using them for several years for multiple services including their annual weed and pest control, fertilization, and core aeration. They've also done power seeding for us, and I love their lawn mower winterization service.
Kim, Dan, and their team are friendly, highly professional, and very responsive. Every interaction is a positive one and you can tell they truly care about the quality of service they provide. You won't find a better lawn service!

We hired Lawn Doctor last season to take over our fertilization and weed control. Our lawn was looking pretty unhealthy and our schedule made it difficult to give it the attention it needed. After just one season of their help our lawn looks fantastic. We will be continuing to hire them in the future. They were always here when they said they would be and left feedback for us as well as a follow up email. Highly recommend!

I have used Lawn Doctor for several years now and have been quite happy. My yard is in much better shape, but what I also like is the informative emails they send about weather and soil conditions in the area and how to treat your own yard for best results. They are quick to respond to phone calls or emails, their techs are well trained to look for problems and treat them and they are friendly. Definitely recommend.

After four years of excellent service, Lawn Doctor still earns a 5 star review from me. Office staff are helpful and very pleasant, as are the staff who work in my yard. Both are always willing to answer my questions. The discount given if full payment is made at the beginning of the season is a plus too!

We are new homeowners on a tight budget and have been with Lawn Doctor Batavia-Aurora for about a year. Even with just the minimum basic services (honestly probably less than the min. recommended haha) it has still definitely been well worth it! Looking back I realized this first year we’ve been so busy just moving in and getting settled that the lawn was the last thing on our mind. I’m thankful we found a company to trust to help us take care of our lawn. They also send really informative emails that have helped teach us a lot. If you are on the fence about where to start with a company, or are tired of the one you have, maybe give lawn doctor a try. They seem to genuinely care about what they do and take the time to do their research and educate their customers, which helps us all work better together.

Lawn Doctor continues to be my lawn care service after several years. I chose them after seeing a neighbor's lawn and the poor service from the service I used at the time. What a tremendous difference. The lawn always looks lush and green. The work is always on schedule and executed in a professional manner. That equals good quality and good value.

I rarely post reviews but I sincerely have been utterly impressed with this company's service, response, knowledge, etc. since I hired them five years ago. The entire staff is friendly, and I can't reiterate, knowledgeable (I love reading their in-depth emails they send about lawn care). They genuinely care about their business and making sure their customers are informed. After reading their emails I realized I had been completely sabotaging my lawn (not realizing it) and the past years the yard has looked better than ever. Would recommend to every person I talk to.

I used Lawn Doctor for the first time last year and couldn't be more happy. My lawn looks great and they take good care of it. Kim is great and always a great source of information. They are always on time and give you good tips on how to maintain your yard. Onetime during one of the application the technician accidentally broke our mailbox - we didnt even have to call anybody - they left a note and next day sent a repairperson who repaired our mailbox.

Kim and Dan are great business owners and always treat you right. They have a wealth of knowledge and can make even the worst lawns look like green carpet again! The rest of their crew does a great job as well. Never had a bad experience with them, and would recommend them to anyone that wants a nice healthy lawn. UPDATE: After having a pool installed last summer, we had Lawn Doctor restore our lawn. Dan came up with a very specific plan to amend our soil and how to grade properly. Dan and his team had the whole yard done in a few hours. Within a couple weeks, we were already back to a green yard. We continue to have them treat our lawn each season because of the great service and results. Thanks Lawn Doctor of Batavia/Aurora!

After only 3/4 of a year of service I find that Lawn Doctor is much better than I expected. Their staff is exceptional, knowledgeable, & helpful. They answered my questions and took special care of problem areas in my lawn. I signed up with them for the entire 2024 season. With the cost and my labor of a self-fertilizer plan and never getting the coverage shown on commercial products, I'm ahead of the game with my Lawn Doctor program.

We’ve been with Lawn Doctor for years and they are simply the best! They not only provide timely service but they also email you summaries of the condition of your lawn and advise you how to take care of your lawn. They also send out tips and advice periodically. They are the true professionals and very easy to reach out to and work with. Highly recommend!

The Lawn Doctor has really turned my lawn around these past 5 years. I think what I like best about them is the info they share with their customers. The amount of time they take to educate us whether its educational newsletters or verbally is beyond any customer service I have ever received. They truly care and are invested in their clients. We had a bad fungus so Lawn Doctor recommended we kill our awful looking lawn. They then seeded the lawn. The result is the most beautiful lawn we have ever had. Actually, it doesn’t even look real it’s so perfect! Friends and neighbors compliment us now! Thank you, Lawn Dr.!

There are so many other options out there.... Don't settle for these guys, just trust me.

We began working with lawn doctor in spring of this year (2025) and the entire year we had the worst grass I've ever seen. We also have multiple plants that have died.

To be fair We called them because our grass was bad, so they didn't cause it but they certainly did not help it despite a seasons worth of work.

When I called half way through this season to ask why things looked so bad I was told it was because I did not heed their advice...that I requested power seeding be done in the spring rather than the fall. They never recommend a spring seeding because of these issues. That is false. Completely untrue. As someone who knows exactly nothing about grass and only wanted a healthy looking yard, I would never push back against a recommendation from an expert.

So inevitably the fragile grass that was growing became completely overrun with weeds. The second half of the summer our grass looked just as bad as when they came in the spring. Then they had to kill the weeds, so a large portion of our yard is now completely dead. After a summers worth of waking my butt up every morning to water the grass multiple times throughout the day, we're effectively right back to where we started. And apparently all because I asked them to do the work at a time.of the year they would never recommend 🙄

We also had them do work in our garden beds (which, also in fairness, is not their specialty. they're grass people). The beds looked good, weeds were taken care of very well. kudos. But unfortunately a number of our plants have been killed (pictures incoming). These are all plants that survived two seasons but died this season for some reason... Correlation or causation? Who knows.

I knew I was about a year out from putting my home on the market, ready to downsize. I credit Lawn Doctor for helping secure a sale. My lawn became overrun with Creeping Charlie after another business mowed for a summer—I think they transferred weed seeds on their equipment. For years I battled it and instead found more and different weeds take root as my grass was disappearing—some sprouting 2-4 feet high in just days. I also removed an above ground pool and had damage where it sat. I thought I’d have to rip out my lawn and sod but Doug came and did an evaluation. We started with what was basically a chemical burn of everything growing in my back yard. This was followed by clean up, power seeding, fertilizer, more seeding and in a year’s time I have a lush lawn—even bald spots under trees have grass. And I know the improvement of curb appeal and the mostly weed-free yard definitely helped with selling my house. It was under contract in days! Thanks Kim, Doug, Yvonne and the whole team!

The Lawn Doctor workers are always very professional and takes good care of our lawn. Kim also communicates timely with us which is very helpful. Their newsletter by email every few months is also very informative. Keep up the great work.

We were very pleased with Geno's design and construction. It was very diverse yet showed a sense of cohesion on a very large and diverse greenspace.
