Contractor reviews in Chicago, Illinois

As a results of copper pipes freezing over the winter we experience several leaks upon our arrival from our winter home. Peter Cruz from JP6 services was contacted through a friend and his response was quick. He evaluated the situation and went to work immediately crawling through a very narrow crawlspace to resolve not only the initial problem but finding others along the way after the system was pressurized. He was prompt, professional and fair in his pricing. Highly recommended!

The front part of my home was without power for 2 1/2 years. Pete was referred to me by a family member and I’m grateful that he did. Pete troubleshooted thoroughly and discovered that the problem was in the Attic. I appreciate Pete’s painstaking and relentless approach to finding the source of the problem and repairing it the right way. The seller of the home was extremely negligent and the way the wiring was set could have caused a serious fire. I deeply appreciate and respect Pete’s expertise and his partner Fred also contributed greatly to this arduous 2 day project. I highly recommend his services. It’s great to have light/power again!

We used JP6's service to remove our old wooden deck and install a new concrete patio and stairwell. All around fantastic service. Timely, polite, attentive to detail. It's clear the men know their tools, and know their way around the toolbox.

This is the team to hire for any given home project. Peter will work with you to understand your needs AND provide excellent feedback regarding project duration and progress.

In short, hire this man.

Pete and team are multi talented experts. We’ve asked for some unusual tasks, like installing a doggie door on a storm door. Pete crafted the impossible and got the job done. He works fast and the rates are fair. He doesn’t say no to small projects. Electrical, carpentry, painting and remodels. They can do it all.

Peter is very knowledgable and takes his craftsmanship very seriously. If you want things done with integrity and quality, I’d go with him. If you’d prefer to forego quality for speed/price, then Peter is not your guy.

With that being said, Peter and his partner Fred were always here on time, willing to share knowledge with me (a curious owner), and got everything done so well. They were also respectful of my space and time while working together.

Work done: bathroom subfloor, electrical, and plumbing

Antonio and his team are good people

Did a great job replacing all of the outside lights with LED lights on photocell. Very reliable.

He is definitively a great electrician. He found the problem we had and fixed it in a timely manner

Antonio came by to rescue my "handyman special" the same afternoon and did a great job. Nice guy, too!

Ricardo truly saved the day for me. I had some bad electrical work done that could have caused a bad fire and got me all sqared away. He even helped me with some other minor plumbing repairs that were needed. I will definitely be using him again. Knowledgeable and reliable.

Ricardo completed the job quickly and fixed work that had been done incorrectly. I highly recommend!

Best Electrian ever! You can trust him for the work and pricing. He will make sure that you are happy with the work and I am sure you will. He also make sure that he seals the area that he is working on so dust doesn’t go everywhere. My kids, 5 and 7 year old loved speaking with him while he was working. He also made sure that they were safe. I for sure will use him again!!!

This electrician saved us from a major problem. He fixed what we hired him to fix better than expected. When he was done, he noticed that an electric connection needed to be fixed by our electric company. Thank God he did. The company acknowledged that not fixing it represented a potential danger. He is an exelente professional

I couldn't fine a better electrician ever!!!! Ricardo Atapuma not only did a job at the most professional way, he went beyond ...timely , clean and affordable! In two days he installed 3 fan boxes and 3 boxes for switches. I am and will recommend him to my relatives and friends. Excellency in what he is doing!!!!!

I manage a 3-flat in Chicago and was referred to Tony by a low-voltage electrician as he had the expertise to fix building intercom systems. We had a few issues going on and Tony answered on the first ring. After confirming the type of system and the issues we were experiencing, Tony made it out to the building within an hour, diagnosed the issue (new exterior speaker and interior electronic border) and made the repair in a timely manner. I'm extremely impressed with how quickly and efficient Tony is and he comes highly recommended! Thanks Tony!

Just spoke with Armani today — solid guy with a solid business. Glad to see people like him keeping things moving forward.

Antonio Atapuma did a superb job for our family. We needed to repair some shoddy electrical work done by another company. The work was in a rental apartment on the second floor of the family building. He was prompt in responding to my call. Clear about his fees (which were reasonable). Scheduled a time to come to the house on the day that the tenant could be home. (Two days after my call.) He arrived on time, and completed all of the work professionally. He replaced a light fixture/ceiling fan, replaced and repaired three way switches, and checked outlets. The building has old wiring and he made a point to call me after leaving the apartment to let me know that while everything was safe at this time, we may need to replace wiring in the future. We will use Antonio's services going forward for any electrical work that we need and highly recommend him.

Had the pleasure working with Antonio and he is great. My house was destroyed after the polar vortex in Chicago and Antonio was recommended. I was stressed out and he put all my electrical concerns to rest. Attentive, affordable, and punctual. Highly recommend him!

Antonio is as good as it gets. He is dependable and really knows what he is doing. He updated my electric in the past and I have had no problems. He then installed under cabinet lighting and did such a good job I had him put some can lighting in my laundry room. I highly recommend.

Ricardo did an amazing job installing our LED lights under our cabinets. He took his time and made sure we were pleased with his job. He was very professional and knows what he is doing. I would highly recommend if you’re in need of any kind of electricity work to be done.

Highly recommend! They are honest, professional, and priced fair. They were on time (early actually!) and were ready to work! Thank you!
