    Great service.

EB's plumbing service was a huge relief. The guy took the time to listen, do some detective work, and figure out the problem. He sourced all the right parts. Most impressively, it actually fixed the issue. Having an expert like him on our side made a world of difference.

Avoid this company for any work-related inquiries. The sheer number of errors is staggering. From the outset, sales representatives fail to follow up after the sale, leaving customers in limbo for months. Despite paying $4500 for bathroom remodeling, no start date was ever set. Calls are consistently met with endless transfers and unreturned promises from "at lunch" or "not available." To make matters worse, an additional $300 was demanded without prior warning to remove existing cabinets. This company is a recipe for disaster; opt for smaller, local shops instead.

My experience at this specific location was an unmitigated disaster. I placed orders nearly 18 months ago, only to receive incorrect measurements for my blinds, which required re-ordering, still haven't functioned as intended. The carpet installation went equally awry - the measurer got it wrong, and when the installers arrived, they were woefully short on material. To make matters worse, Home Depot expects me to foot the bill for their mistake.

I'm currently disputing this error. The contractors hired by Home Depot are subpar, with a particularly inept installation company that botched the job. They even moved my furniture around and plopped two lazy boy chairs on my couch, ruining its shape. Needless to say, Home Depot isn't taking responsibility for any of it.

The sales team never follows up with customers - you're stuck playing catch-up every step of the way. In short, this Lincoln Park location is a complete mess, and I'd advise anyone against setting foot in it.

One star for me 😐. This Home Depot store consistently surprised me in a good way during my recent Chicago visit. Every time I went there, multiple staff members were willing to assist, going beyond just directing me to the product's location. They'd actually take the time to chat with me about what they had. What impressed me even more was that some of these staff members weren't just employees, but also part-time PhD students working at the store. Even their customer service team was incredibly helpful. It's great to know I can go back if I need to again.

This company's employee, Tony, delivered exceptional customer service that far surpasses anything I've experienced. He's incredibly knowledgeable about electrical issues and is a standout performer. If you visit, request Tony – he'll take care of you promptly and effectively.

I hired someone to measure for a garage side door and they showed up on time. However, their work order was incorrect and they didn't have the right information. They tried to reschedule, but I wasn't having it. I'm not buying 10 windows, 2 storm doors, or repair services from them again. It's ridiculous that someone can't even read a simple job description.

Reading comprehension seems to be non-existent for this guy. If there were any questions, he should've called or texted instead of trying to pawn it off on the sales rep. Two people handling door and window jobs is also unnecessary.

I'm not willing to work with anyone who can't follow basic instructions or read a simple work order. The sales guy knew exactly what I wanted, but this installer was clueless. He claimed the sales guy had messed up, which was unfair. If they're going to mess up, own it and fix it instead of passing the blame.

In contrast, when things are done right, they should offer discounts and coupons. It's unacceptable that someone can't take responsibility for their mistakes.

Avoid Home Depot for installations - their work is subpar and they take pride in a mediocre finish. My doors are not what I expected, and their assurance it's the best they could do rings hollow.

Totally exceeded expectations with extremely kind and warmly welcoming staff.

Went to Home Depot for a new bathroom faucet and got excellent service from Ben, a plumbing associate who helped me pick out a matching fixture. He also gave me the lowdown on other services they offer. I'm so impressed with my experience that I'll definitely be back and will look up Ben again for any future projects or repairs.

The sales team lacks enthusiasm and technical expertise, making the sales experience unimpressive. The kitchen designer was particularly unhelpful and charged $99 for a measurement appointment, which seemed unnecessary. In contrast, I received excellent service from a Home Depot store in Evanston where the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, helping me design my project without any additional costs. Their expertise and customer care far exceeded what this business provided. Avoid this location, as it's plagued by poor service and a lack of technical know-how.

The carpet department at Home Depot has completely botched our order from start to finish. The installation was supposed to happen 2 days ago, after we moved out and before new tenants move in. However, the process has been marred by multiple mistakes. Orders were repeatedly incorrect, requiring hours on the phone and multiple trips to the store. To make matters worse, the carpet failed to arrive on schedule, leaving us without a solution for installation 2 days prior to our scheduled move-out date. It wasn't until today that we found out the carpet had never been installed due to lack of communication from Home Depot staff. The customer service is virtually non-existent, making it impossible to get in touch with anyone who can resolve the issue promptly. My husband and I are extremely dissatisfied with this entire experience.

I'd give it a -5 stars if I could. I'm still trying to figure out the right channels to express my frustration.

The flooring installation was supposed to be a straightforward one-room job, but things fell apart as soon as we bought the materials from the Home Depot flooring department. Their help ended abruptly once we handed over the cash.

Four weeks later, and the job is nowhere near completion. They initially delivered the wrong thresholds, had no coordination with their contractor, GSFlooring, missed scheduled installation dates, and sent the wrong material in inadequate quantities. To make matters worse, they've messed up the delivery again – I'm still waiting for a crucial item that's supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I've invested over 40 emails into trying to get things sorted out with them, but it's been an exhausting and fruitless effort. I've also lost four days of work due to this debacle. It's infuriating that we chose Home Depot for our house project – a local contractor would have been the obvious choice.
