Awesome work! I lost power to a portion of my house. I called Sapphire Electric and they were able to get someone out the same day. The electrician was very knowledgeable and experienced. They also have reasonable prices and warranty on the work they did. I will be using them again for future electrical work. Highly recommend them!

Adam and Shawn were fantastic. Adam talked to me through the entire process and explained his recommendations for next steps. I felt like our home was in good hands and look forward to working Sapphire electricen’s and the team for future electric-related projects. Even the office manager was super nice. Great company overall.

My family and I contacted Sapphire Electric back in Dec. of 2019 to assess our new household that we purchased that summer. We had their technician Shawn come out and do a free estimate of the house. The house was older (1950s) and needed extensive repairs/upgrading, but Shawn was very thorough in his repair assessment of everything that needed to be done, which included upgrading/grounding the outlets in the house, re-wiring the electrical system, and even updating the electrical panel because the original panel had all of its circuits blown out (we were not aware of this), which is a huge fire hazard!

Thankfully Shawn took the rest of the week to handle all the work in his busy schedule, and even took the time to contact Com Ed about updating the power lines to our household for free, as well as installing a new dining room light and switch for us, and patching up the drywall after installing our new panel.

Anytime we had any questions or issues from any of the work done, Shawn was happy to explain everything in detail and guarantee his work free of charge to make sure everything worked.

The repair expense was large due to the amount and scale of the repairs, but it's been 6 months since all of these extensive repairs have been done with zero issues in our home. We're truly thankful for Shawn's expertise and time! Highly recommended if you want thorough and responsible professionals from this company!

Shawn was so great to work with! He was very responsive and personable and did a great job fixing all of our many electrical problems after we had an electrical fire. He worked directly with our insurance to get it all covered, which was a life saver! Highly recommend.

My electrical panel was arcing, and just generally in a bad state after a storm.
Shawn came as soon as he can, and stayed late to restore service, to ensure we'd have electricity during the night.
He then came again the next day to replace the remaining broken parts, and tested everything with us.

Not only was he professional, but he was also extremely knowledgeable and good at sharing what he was doing and why.
This was an excellent experience, and I'd recommend Sapphire Electric in a heartbeat.

We had an emergency, no power in most of our house. Shawn came within one hour, inspected the outlets and panel, found the issue quickly, and had all our power restored in a few hours. He was very professional, was wearing mask and shoe cover, polite, efficient, and explained clearly what was going on.

I right away contacted Sapphire Electric who were able to resolve it. They provide the best service in Chicago. I will highly recommend them!

I’ve been working with Sapphire Electric for about 7 years now. They do high quality work and are always quick to respond. Twice I had outlet issues and they went above and beyond to come the same day to fix our electrical issues. Our electrician Gary was awesome to work with and very knowledgeable.

They were really professional. I purchased a home in portage park and it was really outdated. They came out and did a phenomenal job for all the electric work. They did a Super job! All the electricians at Sapphire Electric are very professional and took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and to a very high standard. They installed a new panel at my house.and everything went very smooth and great. I will be recommending these guys to all my family and friends. I am glad I finally found exceptional electricians.

Technician came out within an hour of our call and accurately diagnosed the issue (ComEd’s fault, of course!). Couldn’t be happier with the quick response and help getting our power back on!

We needed major electrical work done on our 100+ year old house, including replacing the service line, installing proper grounding and rewiring parts of our house. Sapphire Electric did a great job and probably saved our lives in the process. (A week after they replaced our service line, a major windstorm hit the city and would have probably completely taken out the old line.)
These guys specialize in fixing old, existing (often incorrectly done) wiring and were not put off by the scale of the work or the scary exposed cloth wiring at certain locations.
It was pretty easy to set up an appointment and they sent out a licensed electrician (Shawn) to our house, who was basically like our project manager and handled all the work, communication, and payment. He assessed our whole house (free service), listened carefully to our needs and wants, discussed our options and gave us an idea of the cost of different things from the start. He also told us right away what work was urgent because it was a safety hazard and what could wait a bit longer. Of course some unexpected things came up, but Shawn worked with us to stay within our budget.
Shawn was knowledgeable, respectful, patient, and had excellent communication. He wasn't always on site working, but when others in his crew were here, we could count on him to be in touch and we were able to run any concerns or issues by him right away. He tried to check in at the end of each work day and I also overheard him at the end of one day teaching/mentoring a younger worker and that spoke volumes.

We will definitely be using Sapphire Electric again in the future.

I was extremely impressed with Sapphire. We were having issues with the power in our house and they sent Sean. He was quick to communicate his schedule and explain the cause of the problems. He was a great resource and fixed our issues. Sapphire would be an easy decision if I have any future electrical issues.

Hired Sapphire to look at some lights giving us issues. They were able to come out the next day, diagnose the issue, and fix the loose wires in the switch and the panel. Sean was extremely knowledgeable, nice, and professional. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Sapphire Electric was great! I was able to schedule with them for same day service. I had a fishy smell coming from my electrical outlets. After the electrician did his diagnostic and looked at everything thoroughly.

He found the issue and it turned out to be burned wiring for my bedroom outlet. He was able to replace the wiring without ripping up the walls. These guys saved our lives and I appreciate the honesty and thoroughness.

It was early Friday evening and I made a very foolish (and dangerous) error when trying to install something in an outlet resulting in the outlet exploding and sparks flying out. Although, I could switch the breaker back on and the other outlets worked, I was concerned that an electrical fire could be smoldering behind the wall. I knew that given the time of day that I would be seeking “emergency electrician hours” but was surprised at how hard it was to find anyone who would come.
Sapphire answered my call immediately. The dispatcher was so nice and pleasant and said that he could have someone there within a couple hours.
The technician arrived at the early end of the arrival window - even waiting for ME as I had to drop my son at an event. He got straight to work assessing the damage, replacing the part and even making sure the wires were tightened and everything was as safe as possible before reinstalling the plate and completing the work.
Gave me advice and solutions for both the item I was trying to install and another question I had on an appliance light.
He assured me that I did the right thing as electrical fires can fester and it could have been very dangerous to leave it over the weekend.
Although the out of hours cost was a bit more than regular hours… I do not feel it was egregious and it was well worth the peace of mind that was provided.
You could tell this was a professional operation with highly skilled and knowledgeable technicians.

We had a worker hit an outlet causing our main breaker to fry on a Saturday afternoon. We called Sapphire and they sent Shawn who was so kind, empathetic, and best of all helpful. He explained what happened and exactly how he would fix it and comforted us with his calm demeanor. We will use Sapphire again for our electrical needs.

I called Sapphire electrical company today to see if they could address a serious electrical issue in my son’s home. I can’t say enough good things about how this company responded to a serious issue. Service tech. Was extremely professional. Very impressed with this company on their quick response and professionalism. I live in South Carolina and was visiting my son to take care of some issues for he and his wife. you just don’t get that kind of service.

I’ve used Sapphire on three occasions at our home. They’ve always been great with communication, worked long hours to get power up. The biggest job was over a few days, due to our lines being damaged because of an accident on the street. They did all the coordination work with ComEd and our insurance company. We didn’t have to do anything on our end. Can’t praise them enough.
