Electrical reviews in Chicago, Illinois

So glad I chose T&D Electrical to install lighting in my home. Only wish I had found them sooner! The technicians showed up on time, communicated clearly, cleaned up after themselves, were polite, respectful, and hard working. They were thoughtful in determining where to cut drywall which resulted in easy repairs. You can see the care and quality of their work in the layout and installation of conduit and light fixtures on a 10' concrete ceiling. Their rates are competitive and reasonable considering the quality of their work. T&D have a great front office team as well. Jenna and Marianne were so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process - highly recommend T&D Electrical and would work with them again.

T&D Electrical came through for me in a clutch! Not only did they perform the install in a clean and professional manner, they were able to run the proper wiring for my water heater without tearing up my walls or ruining the interior of my home. Their prices are fair, their electrician Doru completed the work in a reasonable amount of time for exactly what I needed. Sometimes home construction projects can be stressful but T&D was able to reduce my stress immensely, address my needs and get me back up and running quickly. Highly recommend them for your electrical needs!

Outstanding company with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable office staff who were really easy to reach. The top notch electricians worked incredibly hard, rewiring my entire 114 year old house. The two person team showed up every day on time, checked with me about my preferences, and clearly took pride in a job well done. I highly recommend T & D Electrical.

I have used T&D twice to upgrade main service panels and have been extremely pleased both times. Most recently they replaced a 60A fuse box with 200A breaker panel, along with coordinating the service upgrade with ComEd. The price was reasonable and the scheduling and communication from the office was excellent. They were able to accommodate my minor relocation request, and the guys who did the work showed up early and worked a long day to complete everything with minor disruption. I've done plenty of electrical and conduit work myself in the past and was happy with the quality of their work. Post-install inspections and utility work were completed without a hitch. T&D will certainly be my first call if I need work in the future.

Great first experience with this company. Everything went like clockwork; easy to set up appt and get a quote, good communication on day of service, electrician solved the issue with my outlet wiring quickly. All around good communication and service, would recommend!

Miguel came out to switch a hardwire to an outlet so we could add a microwave over our stove. He was 5 mins early, cleaned up while he worked, explained everything and finished the work promptly. My husband and I were very pleased with his work and T&D who was referred to us by Xpert Floor Control.

Rodrigo definitely deserves a 5-star review! I would give more stars if possible. He knew what needed to be done and how to do it efficiently and I am very grateful for his help. He was both pleasant and easy to work with. Should I need an electrician in the future, I hope that Rodrigo could be assigned. Thank you!

We moved into a condo with an old electrical panel that was deemed unsafe in our home inspection report. We hired T&D to replace it and they were great. They offered a few solutions, including one that came in quite a bit cheaper than we expected. They were very professional and great to work with. I highly recommend them.

Greg did a great job for us. I was impressed with his attention to detail, level of craftsmanship, and professionalism. The service was outstanding and I definitely would recommend T&D to family and friends.

T&D did good work, but were wildly off on their estimation for the project. They went from one of the lowest estimates I received to the highest by far by the time the project was done.

And because I requested an addition to the scope (that took less than 4 hrs to complete), it gave them to freedom to charge me 8+ hrs over the estimation. They also 'accidentally' billed me for an extra $1000 of materials.

All in all, went from a great experience to pretty bad one. I won't be using them again. If you choose to, just know their estimates don't mean much.

I got T&D to install a picture light that we had been struggling to work out the best way to install whilst minimizing damage to walls. They did a wonderful job working out the best way to do it and we love the end result. Super easy to work with and I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the technicians. Will definitely be working with them on our future electrical projects.

Always a good experience with T & D! Professionals all around. They sent a master electrician out to appraise work needed for exterior electrical on our 100+ year old building, gave us a reasonable scope of work and quote and coordinated the work across two appointments. They were able to adjust on the spot to the eccentricities of our building. The appointment making process is easy, day of communication is great, and everyone is always on time. We will continue to work with them for our electrical needs!

Greg, Denise, and Luis were great to work with! After a previous contractor told me it was impossible to install hardwired under cabinet lighting without ripping out my kitchen backsplash, I called T&D for a second opinion. They did a free walkthrough and told me it was totally doable to do what I wanted without an entire kitchen remodel.

They were on time, did a great job, friendly, and did it all for a fair price. I'm so excited to finally have the lights I wanted in my kitchen! I highly recommend them if you have an electrical project, big or small!

I hired T&D to replace 2 ceiling fans and install 1 new ceiling fan. Miguel arrived on time and prepared. He was quick, professional, kind, and tidy. I've previously hired T&D for smaller jobs, and I was pleased with those visits as well. I will definitely contact them for future work.

I have a condo in an older building in the old town/gold coast area, so the electrical system is very dated. There are only a few lines and the HVAC motor is connected to the same line as the outlets in the bedroom and living room. So if I have a space heater or unit AC on at the same time as my central air, it would usually trip the circuit breaker.

So I got quotes for replacing the circuit breaker panel as well as splitting the lines between the outlet in the living room, outlet in the bedroom, and the HVAC motor. I decided to go with T&D Electrical because they had great reviews, seemed knowledgeable, and quoted me a good price on their estimate.

They did a great job replacing the panel and splitting the lines. They were very professional and cleaned everything up afterwards. I am very happy with their work and would definitely recommend them for anyone needing to do any electrical work!

T&D is our go to for any electrical projects, most recently rewiring our entire unit. The team was transparent about costs from initial quote to finishing the work. They were responsive, answered all of our questions and made sure we understood the scope of the work being done. They were also very kind and made it easy to have our home under construction for a week. We've previously worked with Rodrigo, and for our more recent project -Jose, and Carlos; all of them were exceptional in their work and kind.

We could not be more happy with the outcome and our updated, safe electric in the house. We will absolutely be using T&D again for any future projects and highly recommend them to anyone in the future.

Marcus, Sandra and the whole T&D electrician team have been excellent to work with. Their professionalism and expertise was a great asset to us as we navigated renovating a historical home, along with adding a 2 story addition that included a basement. This project started during Covid and went way longer than expected. T&D was so patient and understanding, during the many delays we encountered, working well and flexible with Chicago's permit process. We will definitley use them again and will recommend them confidently to family, friends and work colleagues. You will not go wrong hiring this company, truly a pleasure to work with. A big heartfelt thank you to the whole T&D team!☺️👍

They had swapped my panel. All my breakers were bad and they did a great job fixing all the electrical in my house.

Charles is amazing through and through, I needed ground work, and new rewiring him and his team did it all in one day. could not have asked for a better electrician, professional and very reasonable for the level of integrity.....
words can't describe. Thanks again

I needed to have 7 panels replaced in our building. Arnold Electrical is awesome. I scheduled a time for the estimator to come out and take a look at what needed to be done. As I have gotten other quotes Arnold Electrical was the best/lowest. Eric explained in detail what was needed and why. I accepted the quote and scheduled for his team to start the project asap.
Brady, John, Mike arrived at the building exactly on time and we discussed what was going to happen on this day. They each picked an apartment and started working. These guys are very good at what they do. They completed more than I thought, and when finished they cleaned all the debris, vacuumed the area and took all the debris with them.
Again 5 stars for Arnold Electrical and when I need any more electrical work done they will get the call.

Arnold Electrical Services was very kind. Sam came out and did a detailed inspection of our place and gave us recommendations on how to get our electrical systems up to code. However he didn’t push us to do it right away. He came and installed our fan with ease and always allowed us to ask questions and give comments. Highly recommend!
