Although I did not personally meet Dan I was very impressed with his evaluation of our oak tree. He took the time to really look at the tree and wrote a very detailed evaluation and proposal. We had had numerous companies come out to give us a quote to take down our tree and to determine whether or not we should try to save our tree or take it down. He was way above everyone else in his evaluation. However, the cost to remove our tree and stump was also way above other quotes and that is the only reason we did not hire him. We did go with another company who offered to grind the stump 18 inches down for about 4-6,000 less.

But Dan was very responsive to emails and was on time at the scheduled appointment.

I do recommend this company.

The Care of Trees should be your go to firm for any of your tree needs. They did a great job trimming a very large, and tall, maple tree in the back yard and trimming birches, lilac tree and pine tree. Also treating borer to keep the birches healthy. The crew does a great job of clean up as well! Highly recommend their services!

Arborist Charlie Miller, really knows his stuff. Crew that did trimming was excellent, understood my needs, made suggestions that were really good, cleaned up area very well. Great care!

This is a very responsible, professional company. They have great customer service. The crew was knowledgeable and very conscientious. They protected my plants during the work and confirmed with me throughout the job. They cleaned all the debris from our yard. I am very happy with the work they did and would recommend them to anyone.

I had what I thought was a simple request - to have a tree in my yard cabled. I made several attempts with a couple of companies, and The Care of Trees was the only company to have someone respond. Alison was informative and helpful, and although at first I was taken aback by the price - because of her suggestion that the tree should be trimmed as well as cabled - in the end, I had to admit that she was right.
When I didn't feel as if the tree had been sufficiently trimmed after the initial visit, Alison was quick to offer another visit, and after that was done, I was totally pleased with the results. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Care of Trees to others, and to use the service again in the future.

Our Schubert Cherry contracted black knot fungus and badly needed pruning. Davey Tree Experts came out and restored our tree’s canopy shape with uniform branch density. They pruned all the black knot out of all the branches. They reduced height and canopy spread to improve aesthetics and reduce storm damage potential. The crew was very efficient, professional, and cleaned up beautifully. We will look forward to the beautiful tree this summer. Thank you.

A few years ago, Care of Trees did a great job of trimming my giant , old maple in my front yard. I was have noticed a lot of dead branches so I emailed to get an estimate a few months back. I received no response and called the office. I was told that the arborist was real busy and that he would come out within a few weeks and email me an estimate. I heard nothing and called back about a month later and asked about my estimate. I was told that the guy had come out but that my tree was on the parkway and I should let the city trim it. Obviously, the guy had gone to the wrong place. I mentioned that Care had trimmed it previously and that it wasn't on the parkway.
I was told that they guy would double check and email an estimate. A while later, I got an estimate for ripping the whole tree down and for trimming it. I responded that I would like it trimmed. I heard nothing for a few weeks and I got an email asking me if I wanted to have the work done. I responded again that I wanted the tree trimmed,and asked that my request be acknowledged. Heard nothing, no call, no email, no fax or carrier pigeon.
Loved what you guys did a while ago, but it seems like you folks are either too busy to take care of an old client or completely asleep at the switch. I guess it's back to Angie's List to find someone who is interested in doing the job.

Benjamin rang my bell and introduced himself. All of the workmen worked as a team and were courteous. They finished the work and clean up behind themselves which is important to me. I recommend this company to anyone needing tree removal or care.

Great Service!! Has a tricky tree removal project. Sean was super diligent and worked it through with forestry till we got the permit. then the removal was done fast, efficiently and with no trace or debris left behind. Price was reasonable and under all "comparable" companies' (not 2 men and an ax)

I have been using Chicago Care of Trees for many years and continue to appreciate their services under new ownership Davey Tree Company. Their work is always excellent, though you may have to wait a bit during peak season. Highly recommend.

Very happy customer!! Emmanuel came to my home for the initial visit and gave me an assessment of each tree. I had a couple of the trees planted myself, and it was great to speak with someone so knowledgeable about trees. With an itemized invoice, I could decide the services, and I selected all of them. On the day of service, Emmanuel came with the three-man crew and we walked through what would be done in the yard. When the men left, my yard was beautiful. They cut down the dead trees and ground down the roots of the ones they could reach (as agreed before work was done). They cut dead branches and moved branches away from the roof of my house. They trimmed the trees so other plants could grow. The crew was efficient, followed directions to the letter, and very respectful. I was impressed. I love trees and really love my yard after their work. When it is time to plant new trees, I'm coming back to The Care of Trees. [September 11, 2019]

Davey Tree did a terrific job trimming up the 90 year old oak tree on my property. Took off a bunch of dead branches, fertilized and hopefully the old tree will be revitalized once spring comes along.

This company is very responsive, transparent, and communicates exactly what needs to be done. We had a couple of mature trees trimmed and thinned because their branches had grown to the roof and power lines. Alison came out and quoted the job. She is great to work with, very personable, and she definitely knows her trees! They do a great job with the removing the limbs and branches (not a chop job) and clean up everything when done! They obtain permits if needed on your behalf. We will definitely use them again when needed!

The guys arrived early and did a fabulous job removing the large tree in front of my home. They even cleaned up after.

Good company, I would use them again and would recommend to others. They did a good job at removing a maple in my backyard without any issue. Reason I'm giving a 3 star review, I also had them prune a flowering pair tree which I think they could of done a better job. I only say that because a week after they pruned it, a large section of it broke off and ended up falling on my neighbors car. Damage was minimal, just a scratch, but that's why I had them prune that tree, to prevent that situation. I was really happy with their work otherwise and I would still use them again.

Wow! Love Davey Tree! They took care of everything! From permits- to making sure nobody was parked closeby- to trimming tree soooooo professionally! It was exciting to watch! Now my tree and me say ‘thanks!’! 10/10!!!!

Davey, Las Vegas, NV Trimmed very tall overgrown palms around our pool, surrounded by building and power lines, no access for mechanical equipment or trucks. Each tree had to be climbed. This isn't the first time we have used Davey, we wouldn't use anyone else.
