If you're a landlord, welcome to the club. First order of business; change the thermostats in every unit to Chicago control limiting thermostats, the best damn thermostats on the market!
Insert some protection between you and the crank the heat to 80 then open a window in the middle of the winter cause my landlord pays the heat tenants.. You'll be glad you did!!

I have purchased three of their quality products over the last decade, initially for my Two Family rental property in Northwest NJ.

If none of you two Wire Steam Heating System only homeowners have come already to know; virtually all of our modern day and highly sophisticated choices that we nato assumed would be available to us to choose from today; I.e Internet temperature manipulation and monitoring ALL SAY; our product cannot accommodate your antiquated steam heating system.

How could this possibly be? Moreover; be additionally advised that 9 out of 10 HVAC TECHNICIANS that are working today; do not have the appropriate training nor practical work experience necessary to properly diagnose and remedy a residential single pipe or double pipe cast iron radiator steam system.

Take it from me; any DIY’er or quite even an absolute novice with at least the mechanical inclination to turn a screwdriver can install this ingenious thermostat.

However, and please do forgive me for synthesizing this substantiative posting prior to getting directly to exactly why I am so pleased with Chicago Control Thermostats entire product line; but it was CCT’s Eileen who’s voice you’ll hear on the answering machine; went so above and beyond for this now totally dedicated customer; I JUST HAD TO POST AN ENDORSEMENT out of direct reciprocity.

Quick delivery and handled one of my returns very quickly. Thermostats work fantastic and they are adjustable 4 faster or slower cycling.

Bought the thermostat for elderly. It's doing what it's supposed to do, keeping the settings from going over 73 degrees F. But even when the setting is lower, the temp in the house can go up to 75 degrees F. Might be how thermostat is relating to the furnace. I don't know.

I purchased two units and I have seen a dramatic decrease in energy bills. This is an absolute must for all landlords who pay for utilities. The company is very professional with after sales support.

Shipping was VERY fast. Ordered two units. Had some difficulty with the wiring and called for support. Ilene called me back and walked me through the solution. GREAT support. Excellent instruction sheet aside from one issue: The diagrams and printing are excruciatingly small.

These things are amazing. I had been driving by tenants houses and seeing windows open in the middle of New England's oppressive winters. Not anymore! Heat is included with many of my units and these things FORCE your tenants to be respondsible with the temperature. I've had a few complaints but explained that for my state the apartments only need to get up to 70* and that if they want it warmer than that they need to buy their own space heaters. GAME CHANGER!
