Wan-Tuck Heating turned on my heat when other companies couldn't. The second contractor who replaced my aquastat didn't know what was wrong, causing my pressure gauge to spike out of control. I've never maintained my boiler since 2008, but that shouldn't have led me to Wan-Tuck for quality work.

The problem persisted after the aquastat replacement, with my heat turning on and off repeatedly. The second contractor's mistake was not adjusting the aquastat's temperature setting, which had been set too high. Alex from Wan-Tuck adjusted this and turned on my heat successfully.

However, the issue wasn't fully resolved until Alex flushed my expansion tank to regulate the pressure gauge. Unfortunately, the tank valve wouldn't budge, so it needed to be replaced. Despite the challenges, Alex got my heat working reliably again.

What impressed me was Alex's professionalism – they were courteous, polite, and knowledgeable. It's a rare trait among heating contractors. I also appreciated their consideration for my home, taking off their shoes before entering.

The moral of my story is that trying to shop around to save money ultimately cost me more in the long run. Wan-Tuck Heating's diagnosis and repairs were more affordable than the first two contractors, resulting in a lower pressure gauge reading after the expansion tank was emptied and refilled. In contrast, I would have spent even more if I had stuck with Wan-Tuck from the start.
