You might be tempted to choose one of the first options that pops up on Google, with its seemingly perfect reviews.

They sold us a membership package, claiming it would cover all our air conditioning and furnace maintenance needs. We had already purchased an entire system from them a while back, after our old one broke down in the house - we were desperate for a new one before winter arrived. But this time, they pressured us into buying the membership, which turned out to be a scam.

When our second-floor heater stopped working, I called them, but they told me each furnace needed its own membership and quoted an outrageous $3,000 to fix it. I declined, got quotes from other services, and had the problem fixed for under $1,000. They even canceled an appointment we had with them to fix our sink that morning.

Do yourself a favor: don't waste your time - call at least three different places for quotes, ask around for references, do your research, and avoid these people altogether.
