Very friendly & personable service. The initial tech Robert was happy to troubleshoot my faulty water heater and walk me through his assessment before suggesting a resolution.

The repair would be almost 65% of the cost of a new unit, so we ultimately decided to replace. The price quoted ($4200) was less than other quotes I'd gotten, and for lesser quality builds. They were able to roll a truck the next morning.

The installer Thomas was similarly friendly and extensively knowledgeable. Like Robert, he took the time to explain the process before beginning work. Install only took 2 hours -- which was the low end of the initial quote (2-3 hours). The work was excellent, and the jobsite was left immaculate!

Last week, our condo building had the risers and supply lines replaced in our primary bathroom. We had several companies provide quotes and ended up selecting J. Blanton due to their strong reputation and competitive and detailed quote. Edwin Sanchez and Peter were assigned to the job and were professional, thorough, and kind during the service. They spent three days with us working in three separate units, kept us updated on the progress, and answered all of our questions patiently. Edwin and Peter did a fantastic job, kept the work area tidy, and now we have great water pressure!

A few days later, we hired Blanton again for a separate project to replace a drain in one of our tubs. Clayton G.was assigned to the job and explained the repair process to us. He then carefully worked to remove the drain which was a difficult task. To access the drain we were originally thinking he might need to cut into our baseboards but Clayton was able to figure out a solution which did not require that which we greatly appreciated! Clayton also did a fantastic job, thoroughly tested the drain, and left a very tidy workspace. We’d be happy to have Clayton do additional work in our unit any time! Thank you!

I accidentally contacted J Blanton Plumbing instead of a similarly named company. From the start, I was pushed to sign up for a monthly subscription, which I declined repeatedly.

They gave a 10am–12pm arrival window but didn’t arrive until close to 1pm. The technician flushed my toilet ONCE and then told me it would cost $2,300 to fix, later reduced to $1,700 after calling his boss. It was almost like that estimate was completely made up on the spot and had no basis in reality.

When I pushed back on the price, I was told the issue was an emergency and that my toilet could fail catastrophically if I didn’t act immediately. (This turned out to be a lie, because as I'll explain, I fixed my toilet on my own 2 months later, and guess what, no explosion of water ever occured.)

Well, the technician then pressured me and acted aggressively to get to me to sign a financing contract through GoodLeap so that I could do monthly payments, and pay off the $1700 within 5 years, or however fast i wanted to. He was very predatorial about this. Sadly, I'm not great at this sort of thing, as they fully expect most people not to be, and I caved. I signed the ridiculous contract.

He left and said he'd be back in two hours. During this time I called GoodLeap and cancelled the loan. Immediately after I called J Blanton back and told them I was going to seek other opinions. The receptions was kind about it. The technician called me back 5 minutes later and was not kind. He was very stand-offish and tried to put me on a guilt trip and make me feel stupid.

After canceling the service and financing, I later looked into the issue myself and was able to replace the necessary parts for about $45.

Let me repeat. They were going to charge me an imaginary number of $2300 that after an uncomfortable haggle was changed into $1700, all for a job that I ended up being able to do on my own for $45.

Based on my experience, I strongly recommend running for the hills if these guys offer their services to you.

Had a great experience with J. Blanton Plumbing in all regards. I had a camera inspection as well as a Hydrojet cleaning/rod/flush of my 70' main 6" sewer line from the house to the street.

-The office staff was very professional and polite on the phone, answering any and all questions. When they had to reschedule, they notified me both by email and phone in a timely manner.
-The camera inspection was done by George and Raul (pictured). They were prompt, professional, and detailed with the description of the process. I do all the trades and wanted to watch the inspection for my own personal reference and we were able to see together where the problems were in the main and at what specific distances. I was given several options for resolution on the spot with price quotes up front. After they finished with the camera inspection, they removed all tools carefully and cleaned up properly after the job.
-The next day I was scheduled for a Hydrojet/rod/flush of my main and was met by Hubert, who was the Technician. He was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable in all regards. He had everything that he needed for the job, including camera, rod, water source, and Hydrojet, so nothing was missed and the job could be completed in one shot. Again, I wanted to watch the inspection/Jetting/rodding, so I was right next to Hubert as we watched the progression on the screen while the camera was advancing. The line was cleared distal to medial, with a final inspection of the camera, recording the fully cleared line. We also noted a couple of bellies in the line, holding a little bit of water, so Hubert was kind enough to note them outside with distance (I flagged them), to give me a reference if/when I need to replace those sections. When Hubert was finished, he carefully removed all of his tools and cleaned up after the job properly, being very respectful of our family's space.
I know folks are going to ask about the price. Before any of this took place I thoroughly researched how much this costs from about ten different sources. I can tell you that, yes, J. Blanton was more expensive than everyone else, albeit, you have to take this with a grain. J Blanton was very professional, patient, thorough, clean, and personable. To other folks, only straight price matters and I understand that. For me personally, I am willing to pay a little more for great customer service and professionalism.

This was a complex installation and re-piping. Matt was helpful, answered my questions and did clean and well-executed piping. He was diligent and efficient and maintained a clean work area. Very impressed. (I am a Property Manager for high rise office buildings and I witness a lot of tradesmen and their work…Matt gets an “A” from me!) He also stayed late to completely finish the job…impressed! -Bill M

I had an exceptional experience with Andreas from J. Blanton Plumbing. He came out to perform a camera inspection of my sewer line and was incredibly professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. He took the time to walk me through everything on the screen, explained each detail clearly, and answered all my questions with patience and honesty.

I’ve dealt with many service professionals over the years, and I can honestly say this was the best experience I’ve ever had. Andreas went above and beyond, and I couldn’t be happier with the level of service he provided. Highly recommended.

I had a technician inspect my water heater and confirm I would need a new one. I was quoted a price far above what I expected but needed an install. They sent out a plumber for the install but I received quotes that were far under the one I got from J Blanton Plumbing so I called and canceled. Their customer service was excellent and they contacted dispatch to cancel the install.

I guess they didn’t contact the installer or something went wrong as the plumber showed up and started to perform the install of the water heater. My mother was confused and I told her to tell the plumber to stop and he did. His name is Greg Stewart and he was phenomenal and very understanding. He installed the water heater back and even fixed a gas connection that was broken. Amazing customer service and an A+ plumber. I highly recommend Greg.

Andrew and Jake K were fantastic! Took care of some leaking pipes very quickly. They even fixed a doorknob that came loose in my apartment. Service was above and beyond!

Scott was so helpful and easy to work with! He was so patient and thorough in explaining our options! And Walter loved him!

I have a septic system, and when I bought my house the plumbing underneath had been DIY’d and wasn’t done properly. They came out and redid all of the plumbing under the house and out to the septic tank. It was very, very, very expensive, but they took the time to explain all of my options so I understood what needed to be done.

Since then I’ve had them out for a couple simple mainline clogs.They’ve also come out a few additional times recently while we’ve been dealing with a frozen clog and haven’t charged me for every visit, which I really appreciated.

Every plumber I’ve worked with has been respectful, friendly, and informative. Even though the initial repair was a huge expense, I felt comfortable continuing to use them because of the way they handled the work and communication.

Edgar is a fantastic tech and was extremely professional and fantastic to work with. He was upfront and allowed me to view the issues from the camera before any money changed hands. He had multiple suggestions on how to further prevent issues, but was never pushy on trying to sell additional fixes. We had a pretty serious sewer main blockage and it was no issue for him. He was incredibly friendly and efficient throughout the entire time. We’ve used several plumbing companies in the past, but Edgar was well above the rest. Thank you!

The No Drip club has been the best decision for our house ever! JB helps when things are going wrong but more importantly their proactive approach to service has saved us from some really poopy situations.

Super helpfull. They called back on a Sunday late afternoon and came out that evening. 3 plumbers came to the house on Monday to finish the job. Joe, George and Anthony. Highly recommend them. My technician Andreas Pastos showed up on time. He was friendly and personable. He thought he was there to do a sewage line clearance but I really needed a toilet unplugged. I had tried to plunge the toilet myself but due to a recent hip surgery was unable to do it without increasing my pain exponentially. Andreas used my plunger, gave me a lesson and how to use less energy to get the line clear and took care of my plumbing issue quickly and efficiently. On top of that he was a great neighbor and would accept no money. He would not even let me give him money to buy him breakfast. Who dies that any more? I am so grateful. This company will definitely be on my go-to list.

I also love their security. They text me a picture of the guy who was going to show up at my door and let me know exactly when he was coming. First class.

Christian and Julian stopped by for maintenance, my wife and I had been complaining about a running toilet for a few weeks. Christian changed out our flapper, and even tightened down the toilet bolts while he was at it, at no extra charge! I love having a plumbing company that doesn’t try to upsell on everything possible. I had a great experience working with Clayton G. From the start, he really listened and understood what I was hoping to accomplish, and did everything possible to make sure the work aligned with my goals. He explained the process clearly, was respectful of my time and property, and paid attention to every detail. Super friendly and easy to work with — I never felt like the initial plan was being altered or going in a direction that would cost more than I agreed to.
