Reviews of local pros in Chicago, Illinois

Very professional and efficient in taking our tree down. We asked them to prune our burning bushes and he didn’t take anything off the top where they were growing into the cable wires. I had to ask them to do it as he was ready to leave and he did trim them after calling his office surprisingly because it was in our contract to prune those bushes. He didn’t have clippers to do it properly so used whatever he had.

The entire staff at Davey Tree were professional and gave great customer service. I’m redoing my entire backyard and needed a dying spruce tree and stump removed. I met Micheal Hagl at my property and both he and the 3 person crew who eventually removed the tree and stump were excellent.

We asked Davey to come out to remove a tree off our garage. They scheduled us a week out, the. canceled the day off, 30 min before arrival. They then rescheduled us to a different day of the week. They day of we get a text saying they will try to get to us that day, potentially in the afternoon. We canceled their service and went with another company that came out to remove the tree the same day.

We were very impressed and happy with the service Davey Tree provided. From coordinating with Comed To shut power while cutting back our tree to cleaning up afterwards we couldn't be happier. We would recommend them to anyone. Very professional and friendly!!

Benito Cesar and Omar from Davey Tree did an amazing job of trimming our palms exactly as we wanted today. We truly appreciated how professional, friendly and respectful they were toward us. They are the best of the best!!

2/2026 Thanks again for the help with my tree! I had a couple of unsightly dead branches that Kyle took off expertly...and at no charge. I appreciate Davey and am a long time customer.

Previous review: I have used this company for years for inspection, trimming, and treatment of my trees. Excellent work, careful, & friendly crew. I just had a large branch partially break & Kyle carefully removed it without disturbing the baby birds in the nest nearby! I always recommend them to my friends.

I had the honor of having David G., Christian, Nacho T. and Oscar come to prune my Oak trees on Christmas Eve. They worked for 3 hours non stop and were professional and courteous. I highly recommend using Davey Tree!

I recently had the Davey Tree Expert Company prune and trim my very old and very large sycamore tree and I couldn't be happier with their service. From the initial estimate to the final clean-up, everything was handled with professionalism and efficiency. I highly recommend Davey Tree Expert Company for any tree trimming needs. They are a professional, reliable, and trustworthy company that truly cares about their customers.

David Guerrero and Nacho Tamayo did some fall pruning of our precious hackberry. They did a beautiful job and were great to work with. They were friendly, professional, and understood the importance of trimming the tree properly...not removing too much (no demasiado)!! Thanks guys!

Davey saved my 60 yr-old blue spruce from needle blight and under its care, the tree looks great. Davey also maintains the front lawn yew and locust, and troubleshoots for potential problems that could affect tree health. The informative newsletters that are sent out to clients are also very helpful. I would recommend the Davey Tree Expert Company to anyone looking for a tree care maintenance plan.

We have used Davey Tree Expert 3 or 4 times over the last decade to trim, open and shape the 30 year old Live Oak in our front yard. This is important to reduce the damage to our home that could be caused if the tree were to be uprooted by a hurricane. Davey Tree has always done excellent work. They are fast, efficient and leave the yard well cleaned of debris. In short they do really good work.

I continue to be so impressed with Davey, From my arborist Charlie to his crew. Everyone is so professional and friendly. They do amazing work and clean everything up at the end. They show up when they say they will and do a great job. I would never use anyone else to care for my treasured trees!
