Reviews of local pros in Chicago, Illinois

The Davey crew that came to do tree work were very professional and did a terrific job! Part of the day they worked in the rain but finished all the trees! Thank you Davey Tree

I called around to several different tree removal companies and Davey’s was by far the most professional and responsive.

The guys arrived early and did a fabulous job removing the large tree in front of my home. They even cleaned up after.

Would highly recommend.

We had them come look at a tree that we thought was sick. Very professional and prompt! I learned so much from Kyle as well.

We've been clients for years (at Care of Trees, now part of Davey). Their expertise is exceptional. Their consultations straightforward, their estimates transparent, their work done in a timely manner, including thorough clean up. Best of all, THESE FOLKS REALLY LOVE TREES!!!

Good company, I would use them again and would recommend to others. They did a good job at removing a maple in my backyard without any issue. Reason I'm giving a 3 star review, I also had them prune a flowering pair tree which I think they could of done a better job. I only say that because a week after they pruned it, a large section of it broke off and ended up falling on my neighbors car. Damage was minimal, just a scratch, but that's why I had them prune that tree, to prevent that situation. I was really happy with their work otherwise and I would still use them again.

Wow! Love Davey Tree! They took care of everything! From permits- to making sure nobody was parked closeby- to trimming tree soooooo professionally! It was exciting to watch! Now my tree and me say ‘thanks!’! 10/10!!!!

Davey, Las Vegas, NV Trimmed very tall overgrown palms around our pool, surrounded by building and power lines, no access for mechanical equipment or trucks. Each tree had to be climbed. This isn't the first time we have used Davey, we wouldn't use anyone else.

Mr. Freeman and the crew were all top shelf, professional and exceeded what we were expecting. Highly reccomended. Thank You !!

Top notch! Anthony, our Arborist, was very helpful and followed up on every aspect. The Davey crew took down three trees and pruned two others very neatly and efficiently. They ground the stumps and left the yard looking like the trees were never there! Great job!

Matthew Nickel from Davey needed access to My Yard to cut down a Neighbors tree. Very tight area to get the equipment into. Said He would be very careful. He explained everything thoroughly before starting the job. He stood by His promise. What a nice group of Guys working for Him as well. They were Very careful and cleaned up Excellent. I would recommend them for any of Your tree services.

All members of the Davey team, from arborist to organics/fertilizing experts to the pruners, are the best.
My trees are very happy although they would like a bit of rain. Davey staff always knows the best way to treat a tree to the benefit of both the property and property owner.

We have had a wonderful experience with Davey Tree Expert. Kyle Crawford came to our home and was professional and explained what he recommended for three trees on our property, one of which is quite tall. His team arrived on time and did a thorough job, cleaning up completely. There were two minor issues that Kyle resolved immediately. I highly recommend them! Thanks.

The arborist made very good suggestions regarding our backyard trees. Service crew showed up on time, completed the job well and cleaned up nicely. All of the trees look much better now and the whole backyard is safer. Also made good suggestions regarding treating one of magnolia trees that has scale. Overall professional, friendly and very skilled team. Would highly recommend.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Arborist took the time to review our trees, prepare detailed quote, and revise quote after clarification. Crew did an amazing job safely trimming and cleaning up after they were done. Would not look any further and enthusiastically recommend Davey.

The arborist, Kyle Crawford, came out and discussed several options about my tree. When I decided to go ahead and have it removed, he was great on scheduling.

The crew was fabulous! They arrived on time, were innovative in getting around a car that wasn't supposed to be parked in front, skilled in dealing with intrusive neighbors, and, especially, carefull and competent in removing the tree and wood-chipping it.

Overall a very good experience. I highly recommend them.

Our Horse Chestnut Tree, in our backyard, split and we called our specialist, Charlie Miller, with The Care of Trees and he set up the crew to come and remove deadwood, conflicting limbs, etc. to reduce the weight and stress on the central trunk, to keep it from breaking and falling on our house or our neighbors during heavy winds. They also installed some cables for support. The crew of four was very efficient and cleaned up beautifully. We will look forward to the beautiful tree blooming in the spring and appreciate the expertise of THE CARE OF TREES. Thank you.

Davey Tree provided top notch service. Their crew is extremely professional and client centric. Thank you.

I have been a very happy client of The Davey Tree Expert Company for several years. My arborist, Kyle, is tremendous - keenly observant and so very responsive. Yesterday, two gentlemen from Davey Tree came to cut back and tame a rather old fir tree that sits in front of my house. When they asked me to view the work in progress, I noticed all kinds of debris scattered everywhere. However, when the job was done, it was as if they had never been there. While the tree is looking so much better than before, every last pine needle and twig had been vacuumed up, and no trace was left from all of the cutting that was done. They were wonderful - courteous and professional - and I wanted to make certain to give them - and everyone at Davey Tree - a shout out, for taking such good care of my trees. Thank you!

Recently had Davey trim the very large maple in our yard which is close to the house. The crew did a wonderful job. They shaped it beautifully, got all the dead wood removed, and cleaned up really well. They were careful of our property and very polite. Would definitely recommend them.

I contracted Davey to trim the branches of a neighbor's large maple tree extending over my home's roof. Phillip was my sales guy and arborist, who explained to the neighbor what they would be doing. Eloy & Ernesto did an excellent job of completing the work while caring for the neighbor's property. Eloy did not come down from the tree until I was satisfied with the trimming. They also cleaned up both yards of the debris. I highly recommend Davey.

Davey tree was awesome from the start to finish. They had competitive pricing, great communication, a licensed arborist, an extremely professional crew and they cleaned up everything once they finished. We will definitely use them again and pass their name on to neighbors.
