My experience with Second City was absolutely AMAZING! They came to my home to evaluate the repair that needed to be done, gave an estimate of the repair 1-2 days later, and started the repair job the following week. The entire transaction was done with ease! I admire Second City’s exceptional customer service and relationship building from Ed, Dennis, Maggie, Robert, and Ramsey. I just want to start by saying, this is the most honest, flexible and through company that you can work to get a quote from, to getting the job done as promised. Starting by the main contact through their Work crew as well. This company is local and in the area, without having to wait "days" to have someone check out your property. Michael, Geo, Maggie, all have been amazing to work with, very informative and down to detail on everything that would be done for the repair and siding, what was done, and the customer service over the phone was just amazing, always friendly and helpful. Our home was damaged due to a car accident, after hassling with insurance claim, and other contractors, Michael and Geo came over to actually, inspect the damage, and definitely were our final resort to get our home repaired.

All was done, in a snap, fast, professionally, well done and detailed. Fast, Reliable, Trustworthy Company! would and will highly recommend Second City Roofing for any future repairs or anything that needs to be done at your home. Overall we had a great experience! Josh was super easy to work with. We initially asked for a quote for tuckpointing for one side of our building, then added on some concrete work, and then additional tuckpointing. Despite the back and forth, Josh was never anything but pleasant. Our quotes were provided quickly and communication was always prompt. Pricing was very fair and work was skillful and completed on time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Second City; these are now definitely our go to guys for our home and rental properties.

We’ve used Second City on two different projects and have been very pleased with their work, communication and timeliness. Our last project, we hired them for the roof, framing and building enclosure, and they - along with their subs - did great work. Would definitely hire them again and would recommend.

I have been doing business with Ed Baker for 35 years and believe him to be a man of the highest integrity, with fair prices and quality work. I recently called him when a shingle blew off my roof to examine the roof and repair the resulting “drip.” What followed was nothing short of amazing.

Three years ago I paid a tucking pointing company to rebuild my chimney. Second City discovered that the work had been poorly performed and in fact GARBAGE had been stuffed in my chimney before a terrible repair job was covered with a layer of mortar. They completely rebuilt the chimney for half the cost of the previously poorly performed work.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and service of this company. Both the roof techs and the office folks are very responsive and a pleasure to work with. My repairs were done on the day they promised - even though it was a pretty miserable day to be up there working. Juan and his crew showed up early and stayed late until the job was finished. Five Stars.

They were over to do the job, and stole the jalapeno peppers I had growing in my garden. No joke! There's certain ethics that should follow a business and petty stealing is not one of them...

We've uesd this company many times over the last 8 years. Over the last year and a 1/2 that they've been very busy they've ignored all warranties! They did new construction project for me more recently that that started leaking they wouldn't fix!

Brothers roofing and construction are a awaome company they helped my wife and I out when we didnt have the funding for the rest of the shelthiand Jack is a awsome guy to talk to and will go out of his way to help anyway he can I defently recommend them to anyone needed roof repair done

Had my roof done by them in 2008, huge water leak 2009 damage to 2nd floor, never paid for damages, came last year same thing roof damage celling damage, again this year they charged $1000 to paint roof to up keep the warranty, never paint the roof agin roof and once more yet another roof leak and more damage this year . currently with BBB, next step is court !

They installed roof about ten years ago and called them back for a small roof job and they kept giving the run around. I reached out to them in August 2020 and it is now December 2020. called their dispatch guy game me an appointment NOV. 24th day before thanksgiving holiday. they called and told me its a holiday can we come next week. No call so far and no show. Very unprofessional company. Please use your own discretion when hiring them out.

Brothers recently did some work at our condo association, replacing our roof partially. I was very impressed at how hard their crew worked while on the job. They were also very communicative. Most importantly, they are integral. A crew-member accidentally scratched a window when they brushed up against it with a concrete tile. Brothers accepted responsibility for this, and compensated my wife and I for the damage.

I will suggest that if furniture needs to be removed to do the work, that you take a picture of the setup, and send it to the crew, so that they can put things back where they go post-job.

As a home inspector in Chicago, I see a lot of flat roofs. I am very happy to report that Brother's Roofing installed one of the best installed and properly detailed roofs on my building that I have ever seen. They performed a complete tear-off of several layers before the installation of the proper underlayment and then the rubber membrane. The detailing around the parapet wall and coping stones was very well done. They were even able to reduce the typical rise in the roof just above the gutter. My roof drains so much better now.
If you need a flat roof, these are your guys!
