Cesar did an awesome job for us! He arrived early and went the extra mile to solve a complicated and difficult plumbing problem. He was very professional and friendly and answered all of my questions and helped me understand what was going on with my plumbing. Their pricing is also very fair. I highly recommend Green Tech and Cesar.

Hired Green Tech Plumbing in Des Plaines for a simple faucet leak and pipe fix. Big mistake. Their quote was outrageously high nearly double what others charged pushing eco-friendly materials that seemed like standard stuff with a green label slapped on. No proof of sustainability, just a bloated bill.
The service was sloppy. Techs showed up late with subpar tools, leaving the faucet still leaking and pipes poorly sealed. Had to call another company to fix their mess. Their green tech expertise is all hype, no substance.
Customer service was awful.. cocky and dismissive. Questions about the crazy quote got smug replies like you get what you pay for. Promises of a satisfaction guarantee and eco-credentials were empty; they dodged accountability with fine print excuses. Hidden fees popped up after the job, too.
Green Tech’s shady tactics—upselling, false promises, and dodging responsibility show they care more about profits than customers. Save your money and sanity. Look elsewhere. One star.

Nick, and Richey were outstanding. They performed a smoke test to immediately find the source of of the problem. They’re were very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I would highly recommend Green Tech Plumbing!

Great Neighborhood Company! Had a gas leak and they were here within a couple hours. Not only did they repair it, but they were extremely fair in pricing and honest about what was needed. Lucky to have them nearby!

In the past for financial reasons, I used plumbers that were relatively inexpensive. Only to find later on that I had have the work repeated or redone. Green tech plumbing has been doing repairs around my house for some years now. As the house has aged it has required some Extensive work.I never had to call them back to repeat the job. They’re reliable and prompt and I trust them.

Cesar called before arrival, arrived on time, and did an amazing job resolving a water backup issue and performing a sewer camera inspection. He was very friendly, answered all my questions and explained everything clearly. I have used Green Tech plumbing services for over 10 years and they do great work. Prices are fair and they do go above and beyond to make sure any issues are taken care of. Would highly recommend!

I called ABC plumbing to come fix my leaky toilet and they put me on their rotation list. I waited for 6 hours and still nothing. I called Green Tech and they sent Alex. He was there in 30 minutes! He fixed everything in 20 minutes. They are honest and good at what they do. I will NEVER call anyone else. Best plumbers in Chicagoland.

Our sewer collapsed because it was poorly installed by the previous owner (and the cheap company they used). Water backed up in the basement right away.
Green Tech sent a great technician to check it out the next day. He figured out the problem. 2 days later brought a 5 man crew to fix it They were in exactly at 8am, the appointed time, put in a whole new cleanout and passed inspection with flying colors by 3pm.
They were smart, polite, and professional.

My sump pump was making noise so I called for someone to come out and check it. They were out that morning, determined that the unit needed to be replaced as it wasn’t working at all (the noise I heard). Very professional - explained everything about what they needed to do, stopped the noise. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Green Tech plumbing and specifically with Nick. Our kitchen sink was clogged and we had another company come in and do the rodding. They were unable to open it and said that the pipes underground are broken, and that we’ll need to expose or reroute them. We started getting quotes on that, which ran into thousands/tens of thousands of dollars. We contacted Green Tech Plumbing hoping to get another quote, but they suggested they could try rodding one more time. Miraculously, this worked! The clog was in a very tight spot and hard to open, but Nick did not give up until he did it! He also said there was no evidence of any broken pipes. Saved us a lot of money and a lot of trouble. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Bait and Switch on Quoted Price and Unfair Billing Practices
I hired this company based on the numerous positive reviews I had read, and was initially quoted $950 for a sump pump replacement.
The initial service appointment immediately ran into a complication:
• The technician did not have the necessary 2" to 1\frac{1}{4}" pipe fitting/reducer for the job.
• He attempted to reuse my old fitting.
• After assembly, the sump pump leaked at the old fitting.
• The technician apologized and explained he would have to return on a different day with the correct part.
A few days later, the technician returned, installed the correct fitting, and then presented me with a second bill for $270. Since the return visit was solely due to the technician's lack of the correct part on the first visit, I questioned this charge.
1. I immediately called the company and spoke with an individual named Fred.
2. Fred acknowledged the situation and assured me that the matter was resolved, stating I was "all set and not to worry about any other charges."
However, a week later, I received a call from Bill attempting to collect the $270. In this conversation:
• Bill was immediately aggressive and seemed to be in a very bad mood.
• He was dismissive, constantly cutting me off and refusing to let me fully explain the preceding events.
• He went as far as to threaten placing a lien on my house over the disputed $270 charge.
I remained respectful during the call, but there was simply no reasoning with Bill.

This entire experience, from the technician's lack of necessary parts to the subsequent bait-and-switch billing and aggressive collection tactics, is unacceptable. Due to the company's lack of accountability and clear unfair billing practices, they will unfortunately no longer be my go-to choice for plumbing services.
I hope this detailed review helps future customers avoid a similar experience.

In a panic after seeing my kitchen sink had backed up during the night. Called Green Tech who came the very next morning. Needed rodding (20 feet plus) and completely cleared the problem. I know there's a place in heaven for our plumbers. Thank you Green Tech!

GreenTech did excellent work on my grey water pit. They were able to accomodate my schedule, finished the work on time and for the amount quoted. The quality was great.

GreenTech is the only company we use. Fast friendly service, affordable pricing and they do a great job. Not everything is preloaded but they moved my toilet drain, changed piping from galvanized to copper, replaced gate valves with ball valves and added a water line drain for the house in case we need any future work. These guys thought of not just present but future work.
