Reviews of local pros in Elmhurst, Illinois

I live in an older home & my breakers kept tripping whenever I'd run my vacuum unless I unplugged everything. These guys were quick, professional & gave top-notch service. I highly recommend them for all your electrical issues.

These guys really know there stuff. They installed new fixtures throughout the entire house and when took the time to suggest ways I could save energy. There quick, neat, and very respectful of my home. A 10 out of 10 in my opinion.

They handled some tricky electrical issues in my kitchen. Outlets are safe now, lights steady, and the whole place feels more reliable. Crew was friendly and kept things tidy the whole time.

The team at amp-tech is professional and skilled. They rewired our master bathroom during a renovation and coordinated well with the tile guys.

Found them through a recommendation and they service our area which was great. The electrician came out quickly, got everything done right the first time. Really straightforward experience overall.

So we kept having this issue in in our house in Elmhurst where the lights in the upstairs hallway would randomly dim for a few seconds and then come back to normal. It happened maybe once a week at first but then started getting more frequent and honestly it was making us really nervous since we had no idea what was causing it. My wife thought it might be the bulbs but we swapped them all out and the same thing kept happening anyway. Called Amp-Tech and they sent an electrician out within a couple of days. The guy was really methodical about diagnosing the problem, he started at the panel and worked his way through the full circuit testing connections at every junction box along the way. Turned out there was a loose neutral wire at one of the connections up in the attic that was arcing intermittently, he said it could have eventually become a serious fire hazard if we had just kept ignoring it much longer. He repaired the connection properly and checked the rest of the wiring in that whole area to make sure nothing else looked sketchy. Since the electrical repair was done we haven't had a single flicker and just knowing what was actually causing it and that its been fixed gives us real peace of mind. The electrician explained everything in plain language and the price was very reasonable for the diagnostic work involved.
