This young man serviced my old (20 plus years) steam boiler. His expertise and customer service was excellent. Will use this company again and I highly recommend their services. Ask for Daniel.
Best.
Mr. Vanduan -
Igor is kind, fair, and explains his process very well. I trust him implicitly. We signed up for the annual care plan after meeting him. He serviced our furnace and air conditioner recently, and the service is exceptional.
Thank you! Lauro was super kind, knowledgeable, and professional. He put new kitchen plumbing in. I appreciate that we are not charged until the problem is fixed! Please thank him for his excellent work. -
We had a pipe burst which was a stressful situation for us. Lauro our plumber was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, patient, and communicative. He fixed the problem and set us at ease. We will be calling Lauro again for any future problems.

UPDATE - I deleted my original review to give American Vintage Home an opportunity to respond again, however it is reposted below.
In the meantime, I want to provide an important update to my previous review. After posting my initial experience, American Vintage Home responded publicly asking me to reach out so they could "resolve" the situation. I did as they asked, but unfortunately, I never received any call back.
It’s worth noting that they seem to do this on every negative review they receive. They make a public show of wanting to make things right, but based on my experience, and I suspect many others’, they do not actually follow through. So don’t be misled by their public responses. They appear to be more about appearances than real resolution.
2ND UPDATE - See below. These responses are clearly written by AI and they subsequently don't return your phone calls. They have no intention of working with you, honoring their word, or making it right.
ORIGINAL REVIEW -
I engaged American Vintage Home to address an issue with our mini-split system. We had a service plan with them, so I expected a professional and thorough resolution. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a long and costly ordeal that left me deeply dissatisfied.
When they first came out, they misdiagnosed the problem as a power surge issue and suggested we buy surge protectors (something that would have been an unnecessary expense. Thankfully, we didn’t purchase them.) The real issue turned out to be a coolant shortage/leak, which the first technician completely missed. By the time a second technician identified this, we’d already experienced delays that compounded over the next season.
We ended up paying $1,339 for a recharge that only lasted just four days, and the same technician who initially suggested a simple recharge/leak repair now recommended a full system replacement. This was a complete shift in their assessment, despite the same visible rust and issues that had been present from the start.
To add to the frustration, another company later quoted us only $180 for the same recharge/leak repair service and it appears that other local companies operate in the same range. In other words, we were massively overcharged by American Vintage Home who subsequently left us high and dry on the replacement service because "it's not the sort of thing they do." despite Air Conditioner Installation being a primary listing on their website and continuously claiming to be experts in "older homes".
Despite these facts, they only refunded a bit over half of what I paid, leaving me out just under $600. Given that the initial diagnosis was flawed and the recommendation changed dramatically, I believe I was entitled to a full refund.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend American Vintage Home for either their repair services or their service plans. Their inconsistency, lack of integrity in standing behind their work, and poor communication made for a deeply unsatisfactory experience. I’ve since canceled my plan and will be looking elsewhere for air conditioning support. -
Micheal was above and beyond, knowledgable and very professional. He is great teaching his teammates to do a great job too.

Roberto and Igor of American Vintage Home installed a high velocity central air conditioning system in our home. Their work was extremely thorough and well done! We were impressed by their extensive knowledge, reliability, timeliness, and responsiveness. They kept us informed at each step of the process and ensured all our questions were answered. Both were conscientious about cleaning up at end of each day and minimizing the intrusion in our home during the install. We are grateful to Roberto and Igor for their outstanding work!

Mike and David were great to work with on a complicated hot wat heating job on a 3 story 110 year old home. They explained the job ahead of time and solved problems as they arose at no additional cost. They adapted their schedule to ours. Over-all, we're very satisfied with the work ad would strongly recommend them.

Needed to replace one radiator in my home. I called the company that replaced my furnace but I could tell that finding and installing a radiator was not something they did often. American Vintage Home had someone come out promptly. They found the best fit radiator and the installation work was done well. Glad I worked with this company.

Daniel was great. He was on time, took great care of our home— putting down tarps to walk from door to balcony. Used shoe protectors when not on tarps.
He worked outdoors on an unseasonably com and snowy day in November. The work he did looks very neat and tidy.
We weren’t able to see if the AC blew cold because it was freezing outside but he did check to see if the condenser kicked on and it did.
He was very pleasant and took time to give some pets to our dog and cat too.
Highly recommend. -
I had a great experience with American Vintage Home. Our technician was timely, pleasant, and knowledgeable about steam boiler systems. He solved our radiator issues, much to our satisfaction! I will definitely work with American Vintage Home again.

During a recent cold snap (January 2026) our ancient boiler stopped working. We called American Vintage Home on Friday and they sent a technician the same day. The service tech determined that the boiler was no longer operable and unsafe. We then worked with Bruce Cote, an engineer, to select the right boiler replacement. He then helped get the installation scheduled and handed the install over to Roberto and his team. The installers worked all day to get some heat on and then came back the next day to finish the job. I am very happy the result and will recommend this company to my friends.

Unfortunately the service has slipped badly . I have used Am Vint Home for years . This last experience has been disappointing to put it mildly. I had a sewer back up to a drain at my garage in back of the house and 2 years ago on AVH recommendation had the sewer pipe lined at a cost of $18,000 to fix the problem. Recently the same drain backed up and AVH initially sent out someone to clear the pipe of presumed roots which was disappointing given what I had spent 2 years ago. That effort was completely unsuccessful but generated a $1200 bill. AVH came out and determined that another section of pipe was detiorated right at the garage which required the area dug up and new pipe and concrete . I agreed to pay the approximately 12,000 for the new job (plus an additional $5000 for the concrete contractor)although it is not clear to me what I accomplished in the 18,000 spent 2 years ago given that I was told that would fix the problem. I had a phone conversation(s) in which I was told that the diagnostic efforts this time around I would not be billed for. I have written a letter and called 4 different times to discuss the bill which I feel strongly was part of the diagnostic efforts. I honestly feel that I should have been given a steep discount given the failure from 2 years ago in which an expensive solution was advised which I accepted and in retrospect was a failure.. I have never had a call returned , and now I am being sent to collection. I don’t understand where there good reviews come from with this kind of interaction and service.

Dominick was patient in explaining the issue with our radiators to me. He went into detail, but was clear and made everything understandable to me. He listened carefully to my questions and as I outlined what was going on. All much appreciated, and highly recommend!

We began working with American Vintage a couple of seasons ago on their annual discount plan and have been pleased with their attention to detail and thoroughness of inspections, follow up and repairs. Our newest tech, Bryan, did a great job this winter for annual service maintenance making sure all of the boxes were checked to ensure equipment longevity.

Zak is one of the top 3 technicians ever sent to me by American Vintage Home. He demonstrated thorough expertise, he communicated clearly & completely, and he offered a patient, customer-focused demeanor that gave me solid confidence that my heating systems were in good hands. Then, Zak went that extra step by bonding with our pup, Tango!
Thanks, Zak. We hope that you will come see us again. -
American Vintage Home always provides great customer service and today was no different. Zak provided us with an A/C and boiler inspection and was incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. He did a great job of explaining his findings and fixing a radiator that wasn't fully functional. Great work! Great company!

Dave the engineer was very knowledgeable and respectful. He made his calculations in what type of boiler we need. Roberto and Igor were also knowledgeable and respectful. They did a great job installing our new boiler. We are very pleased and thankful for American vintage home for doing a fabulous job.

I highly recommend American Vintage Home Heating and Air. The quality of the workmanship on the install by Kris was incredible!!! Very few companies install/repair steam heating systems, these guys were quick to respond and had me up and running within a week. One valve repaired, a new radiator and an old boiler from the 70’s swapped out to a brand new one. Fantastic job by all involved.
