Reviews of local pros in Evanston, Illinois

CJ Plumbing was a pleasure to work with. I first spoke with Dimetry over the phone to discuss a leaky toilet and a garbage disposal that stopped working. He had a wealth of knowledge that actually enabled me to restart my garbabe disposal and not have to replace it. His team member Lenny, then came out the next day to repair our leaky toilet, and it turned out our toilet's wax ring hadn't been replaced in years, it wasn't even a wax ring, but putty which no one uses any more. He knew exactly what do to and had us up and running in no time. The team is very professional and responsive and real experts in the field. I will be hiring them again. Note: this is regarding a 100+ year old home in evanston.

I had some leaking pipes to my hot water tank. I called CJ Plumbing & they got a plumber to my house within 30 minutes & replaced the leaking sections of pipe. Now that's outstanding service! I used them to replace a couple broken toilets a few months ago as well. Couldn't be happier with them!

Started the new home project with this company. The owner said he has 30 years experience. He made a few suggestions about drain so plans were changed to reflect the suggestions. When they started, they made several serious mistakes that I was able to notice before it was too late and they fixed them. They mistakenly used the original plan instead of the plan they proposed to change. Then when concrete was about to pour it turn out they put their tubing in the way of a pillar. So they changed the drain layout again. Cut and glue many times. In the end one serious mistakes, a position of a drain in the concrete, I found only when the concrete was already in place. The owner of this company sent me a bill to correct the problem. Do not want any service from this guys any more. I will see this guy in court. Don't deal with this company with any serious project.

I used CJ Plumbing for an emergency replacement of my water heater on a Sunday. My water heater had started leaking water out of nowhere on Sunday morning. I called and spoke with Dmitry in the morning by 4pm my water heater was replaced and working. They were extremely flexible and reasonable on price given that it was a Sunday. I would definitely reach out to them again for any and all plumbing needs. Thank you

Dmitry called immediately about my leaking kitchen faucet; Lenny showed up on time the same day, inspected and explained the issue. They did all the leg work in finding a new replacement faucet, obtaining my approval, and purchasing it. At the second visit, Lenny replaced the faucet and fixed the leak! Grateful for only one service charge even though there were 2 visits. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

CJ Plumbing was responsive, professional & responsive. Despite the pandemic my call was returned immediately and replacement of our building sump/ejector pump was completed in a couple hours. Dmitry (owner) called several times to insure pump size & capacity. He is knowledgeable and customer focused. The plumber wore protective gear & sanitized the work area and access doors. Highly recommended.

Dmitri had Lenny come to our within an hour to fix our drain. Lenny couldn’t have been nicer and he was very efficient. Dmitri called afterward to make sure we were satisfied. Great customer service. I highly recommend CJ Plumbing!

The first time we used CJ plumbing was during our home build in 2011. Since that time we have continued to use them and they have never disappointed us. They are very courteous, knowledgeable and honest. They are willing to do any job big or small and if there is a way to save some money by providing an alternative solution to a problem they will not hesitate to suggest it. They believe in long-term relationships with their customers which is something you don’t see too often anymore. Good quality work and good quality people. You can’t lose.

First contact was with Dmitry to get an estimate. He was responsive, thorough, and honest in his estimate. He recommended that we start with a less expensive option to investigate a possible leak which seems to have been the right choice based on what was discovered after removing the upstairs toilet. Lenny who was the plumber who came to the house was punctual, thorough, and efficient. He started in the master bath and explained everything while taking pictures to follow up. He installed an extender and replaced the seal for one flat rate. We had some other smaller jobs and Lenny repaired what was needed within the time frame originally given and cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend CJ plumbing.

I called them on a Wed. night for a leaking kitchen sink. We needed a new faucet and garbage disposal. They said they could come out the following day at 1:00. Lenny got here at 1:00 sharp. He was fast and clean and did a great job. Then Dimitry called to see if we were satisfied with the job. Great customer service. Would highly recommend. Fair price too!

CJ Plumbing quickly responded to my call regarding my primary sump pump going out. Within a few days, I had a new pump and improved back-up system running smoothly without issues. Highly recommend them vs other plumbers we have used in the past.

CJ Plumbing & Heating did an excellent job! Management was very polite, professional and responsive to all communications, and Lenny did a wonderful job on the installations in our home. Would highly recommend!

CJ Plumbing has done many projects for out family through out many years. They have always been professional, honest, reliable, and most importantly very reasonably priced. It was a pleasure to work with the whole team at CJ plumbing. Would recommend to anyone!!

CJ Plumbing has been great to work with. Every person in the company that I have interacted with has been professional, prompt, and their expertise is unquestionable. My family is in the business of designing, building, and renovating homes and I exclusively use CJ Plumbing on my personal residence. I could not recommend them more.

Dmitry was super helpful and professional. His plumber Lenny came right on time, did all work within the time frame and was super friendly and helpful.
I called these guys just from a random internet search when we needed some plumbing done in our bathroom. We've had a lot of backup issues on the tub and sink, and no plumbers wanted to help us for a long-term fix over the years. Dmitry came in to look at the problem and immediately knew how to fix it. He even fixed our water pressure in about 5 seconds!
We've been looking for a go to plumber since we bought our house 8 years ago and I believe we finally found our guys! Thank you CJ plumbing! We'll talk again soon and we'll definitely refer you to any friends and family who are looking for plumbing work!

Dmitry got us scheduled quickly to address our urgent situation. Lenny did our work, and he was skilled and professional. He explained what he was doing and successfully solved our problem at a fair price. Well done!!

CJ Plumbing, Dmitry and his crew have been exceptionally professional, prompt and friendly for all of the jobs they have done for us. Sump pump installation, sewer line cleaning, new shower fixture--all great and fairly priced. Recommend highly.

I contacted CJ Plumbing to have the gas line to my grill extended to accommodate a new deck. Dmitry responded immediately to set up a date and time. He then came out to survey the line and ensured me it could be done easily. Within a couple days his technician came out and performed the work. He checked and tested everything including my grill. I’ve used CJ Plumbing several times and have come to expect high quality work from them. They always deliver!

I used Angie's List to get someone to help with the shower faucet from leaking little dripplets. CJs plumbing was the first one to respond and quickly so! Called off his personal cell phone, asked what was going on and was able to dispatch Dmitry within the next hour! Dmitry was knowledge, kind, helpful and very informative! Walked me through what he was doing and why! Very glad I went with CJ Pluming & Pluming! I highly recommend them!

Fantastic, responsive service. I needed a leaking kitchen faucet fixed ASAP and they had someone out the next day. Lenny was extremely friendly, professional, and FAST. He was nice enough to patch a bad crack we had in our granite countertop near the faucet, and he even had some treats for our little dog. I will definitely use CJ Plumbing & Heating for all my future plumbing and HVAC projects.
