My fiancé and I worked with Alex and his team from CJ Plumbing. Before working with him we received a few different quotes and when we had a free consultation with him, we felt he seemed the most knowledgeable and communicative with what work needed to be done to receive the best results. We were installing plumbing for a bathroom and they did a great job. They were very thorough and organized and completely cleaned up after themselves when the job was done. I would highly recommend CJ Plumbing. A very polite and professional team that I will definitely use again when necessary and refer to friends and family.

Lenny just left and I am glad I called this company. Not only he did a fantastic job but also he didn't try to sell us on stuff that would cost us an arm and I sooo appreciate it!
We wewre looking to prevent our pipes from bursting because of our hosebib and instead of cutting into our drywall and rummaging through so many pipes 9We have an old house) he offered a great solution that was super efficient and only cost $50 more then the original quote that was already super reasonable.
He explained everything but was not wordy and super super nice.

Great service, quality and price! We had an emergency sewer back up and needed to replace 8ft of cracked clay pipe. Called CJ Plumbing late on Tuesday, the week of Thanksgiving, and he had Tylers Underground come out the next morning and replace everything for a great price. He checked in throughout the day to make sure things were going well and I was happy. Then on top of all of that he had a plumber come out within 15 minutes to help us with a completely separate issue. Highly recommend CJ Plumbing!

When we discovered a leaking toilet seal, Lenny arrived the same morning and repaired it competently and professionally. Lenny had worked for us before also. Great plumber!

We've used so many plumbing companies over the years, and my wife and I are so relieved we've finally found CJ Plumbing, because we feel like they can be trusted, and we don't need to shop around any more. Dmitry offered to install two new faucets THE SAME DAY if I needed. I didn't, so he sent Lenny out the next morning. Their price was significantly lower than the two other estimates we received from other plumbers. Lenny was at the door right at 7AM, as agreed. He's an absolute professional, super efficient, tidy, and did a great job.

1st time calling a plumber: a leaky hot water valve gave us concern but after a quick phone call in the morning, the technician arrived by early afternoon and had the job done in an hour!

I appreciated that during my initial call I was able to send a video and photo to CJs co-owner and coordinator so everyone was on the same page about the issue. Later a photo of the technician was sent to me so I would feel safe and certain of who it was attending the job. He was pleasant to talk with and explained what he assessed the damage was that caused the leak and what he did to remedy. He even had me verify the water pressure and temperatures to be sure the job was done properly.

I’m very happy to have had a skilled technician meet our needs in the same day with a high level of communication throughout. Thank you!

A leak due to an older shower faucet upstairs caused damage in the wall and the downstairs ceiling. Instead of trying to repair the old faucet, we decided to replace it. Due to old style setup, installation of a new faucet required pipes infrastructure changes. Based on a recommendation from my neighbor, we contacted CJ Plumbing & Heating to perform the pipes redesign and the new faucet install. From the initial communication with the owner until the work was completed, the process was smooth and straightforward. Lenny did a phenomenal job changing the pipes configuration and installing the new faucet. With appreciation, Mike.

I read reviews of plumbers serving in Highland Park from several sources. On Google and Yelp and other sites I read that CJ Plumbing Serving Highland Park, with the owner named Dmtry, was reasonable and helpful. I was very disappointed about my experience. They charge $275 an hour, minimum charge it seems is $275.00. The shower faucet had a slow drip. I contacted Delta Faucets and they sent me a replacement cartridge for free. CJ Plumbing sent out a plumber who took apart the valve and put in the new cartridge. He noticed that another part needed to be replaced so the repair would last. That took him perhaps 30 minutes. I did not know which part he needed but I was told he could find one and he bring it by on the way to or from work. It sounded like a simple matter.

After a month I received a call that they were able to get the part. They said it took them a lot of trips trying several supply houses to find it. They never contacted Delta which I had told them had the replacement parts. I asked if there was a charge and was told that the part was only $10 but they had to charge for one hours labor since they had to locate the part. It took the other plumber perhaps 10 minutes to replace this small plastic piece. I was charged another $275.00. I also realized that instead of spending a month’s time looking for the small plastic piece- for $13 they could have purchased a new handle and just pushed it on. As nice as the people were who came to my house, I still cannot recommend CJ Plumbing.

I Just read your response to my review. First of all it is not true. Your plumber on the first visit made the diagnosis regarding the leak and it needing both parts. He was to get the part and quickly stop by to install it. I did not make a separate request but may have asked about what happened to finishing the same repair. As far as further bills, I paid for all your services by check when given a bill at the times of service and was told these were the total amount due.

Dimitry responded to me on a Nextdoor and commented that I should call him. I put in a call, snd left a message and pointed out that it was in response to his request. He texted me back and forth. he went from saying we had an agreement to saying we did not, He said I was disrespectful to working people, He asked me if I was Jewish then texted me in an attempt to wish me a happy new year to me and my family, a hebrew phrase as such. He then texted me that if I "kept Calling he would call the police". I had called him that one time at his request. He then told me I needed help. Being a Mental Health Professional myself, I thought that was interesting.

We love CJ plumbing! Dmitry and his team (we love Lenny!) are awesome. Their prices are pair, their team is friendly and VERY efficient, and they always complete the job. They aren't like other companies that come and go all day long - they bring what they need and they complete the work without disruption or delay. They recently disconnected radiators, capped old lines and inspected gas lines.

I had a shower drain clog that I got annoyed with, so I called C&J. They are awesome! They came on the same day and was able to unclog it. Dmitry was easy to schedule with, and Lenny was the best. He is very professional, thorough, and careful and got the shower drain unclogged quickly. They are so reliable and absolutely worth the money.

I have used CJ plumbing twice. Once to repair a toilet and once to replace a kitchen faucet. In both cases, Dmitry the owner was a pleasure to deal with for scheduling and the plumbers he dispatched to my home were very professional and thorough. I will use CJ Plumbing for my future plumbing needs.

We trusted CJ Plumbing with a major renovation of our laundry room, turning it from a dingy basement utility room to a fabulous laundry room/bathroom combo. This was no easy task, but Dmitry, Alex, Ivan, Dmitri and Lenny were a great team that took us through the process with professionalism, hard work and excellent communication throughout the project. We highly recommend CJ Plumbing and will be using them for all our future plumbing needs.

I’m disappointed with my experience with CJ Plumbing & Heating. Less than a year ago, they came out to repair a leaking pipe connected to the shower. However, within just a few months, we noticed that the same pipe was leaking again. When I called to ask if they could come back and check the work they did just 8 months prior, the person I spoke to was professional but informed me that they wouldn’t stand by their previous repair and would need to charge me again. This was especially disappointing since they initially seemed like a reliable company I could trust for future projects. I expected better service and a commitment to their work.

They ruined my ceiling and refuse to accept responsibility.
As you can see from the pictures: before they came (first one), I had sent a picture to my handyman to ask him to sand, spackle and paint (a $150 job). Now, someone has to come cut out my ceiling and replace the plaster (a $2,500 job).
The guys who came were very nice and proceeded to rod our toilets but when they went to do the one upstairs, they didn’t drain the tank or the bowl (gallons and gallons of water) so, when they moved it to get at the drain, water went all over the bathroom floor into every crack. My wife saw toilet water running down the ceiling and kitchen walls below and went to ask what was happening (thank god she saw it). Only then did they ask for towels and start to mitigate how much water had gotten away from them. By then, the damage was done. Now we have several cracks in our ceiling and one is a hazard- the light doesn’t work and it looks like it could fall down at any moment. At first the ceiling didn’t seem so bad but after the water settled in and soaked the plaster over the course of a week or so, it was clear real damage had been done. I contacted the owner and he denied all responsibility (and wasn’t nice about it either- refused to come look at, said they’d done nothing wrong), he even said it was there before from something I did. Well, there’s clearly a difference between what was there before and after his guys did the job. I would have my insurance cover it but it’s smaller than my deductible.

I’m fine with the bill for the original service being $500 more than I was quoted. If the crack in the ceiling was a simple spackle and paint job as it was before, I would be fine with that too. I just would have liked them to accept responsibility and use their insurance to cover their mistake. That’s what insurance is for.

CJ Plumbing came through for us quickly and perfectly, even over a weekend leading up to the Winter Holdays. We had an awful burning plastic smell start coming through our house and wondered if it could be the furnace or something plumbing-related. We found them through a search and called on a Sunday. We spoke in-person to Dmitry and got service set up the following Monday.

Lenny was our plumber, and he quickly diagnosed our issue as a failing sewer ejector pump. He had all of the materials ready to go on his truck at a reasonable price and was able to do the job in only two hours. He also helped out with improving the shower flow in our main bathroom and replacing the batteries on our sump pump backup generator.

I know a lot of people are going to balk at a labor rate of $275/hr, but CJ Plumbing was incredibly responsive and efficient. Also, the whole cliche of "you can pay now or pay even more later." We'll definitely reach out to them first with any issues in the future.

Lenny cleared a very stubborn clog in our kitchen sink drain line and left our place spotless afterwards. Reasonably priced and communication was great. 10/10 highly recommend!

We were doing a major remodeling of a 120 year old bathroom. Their work was perfect. They had important, very impactful design ideas that they shared and implemented very cost-effectively. They were cooperative, efficient, and whenever a problem came up, it was solved within an hour. They twisted their schedule around some unpredictabilities on our part. What else could one ask for?

CJ plumbing has been our go-to for leaks, frozen pipes, drain issues, etc. Dmitry is always prompt to reply, manages to schedule service same or next day, and the plumbers / technicians always easy to work with and get the job done quickly. Highly recommended.

Dmitry and Lenny are excellent professionals. They've done two jobs in my 60+ year old building. The first was to help with updating valve fixtures for our basement washer and dryer.

The second was a broken faucet and valve following the cold weather. Though it was a sunday and snowing Dmitry made his way and repaired the faucet. Grateful for them, their transparency and reliability. I do plan to use them again.

I didn't want to leave a negative review. But I am emotionally hurt and overwhelmed for spending $435 for a plumbing Job that took about an hour. I had requested a replacement for Hot and cold water hoses. I also wanted hot and cold water pipes to my washer to be replaced. Yes, I take the blame that I did not communicate effectively about water pipes over the phone which led to my disappointment and dissatisfaction. But for the amount of money I was willing to spend, I deserve better customer service and Job satisfaction I was looking for. During the Job, I had mentioned to Mr. Lenny and Dimitri that I needed new pipes. Lenny became angry and defensive and shifted the blame on me for my lack of communication. I called Dimitri and told him about the escalation. Dimitri did not handle the situation like a true professional. I became really uncomfortable with Lenny and his anger. He demanded Payment with a very rude demeanor. $435 should be more than enough to cover hot and cold water hoses, and hot and cold water pipes. Again, I don't want to leave a negative review, But I am really upset for not getting the kind of service for my money.
