They did an amazing job fixing the last plumbers absolute disaster that he created. They worked on my tankless water heater, got it maintenanced, and fixed all of the issues I was having with the plumbing in the house. The plumbing now looks like a professional job and not a patchwork like it was with the previous plumbing company.

Alex Cruz who came to service was very nice and willing to explain to me exactly what he did with everything. He fixed the electrical cord that was going across the sink and several other red flags that the previous plumbing company left. He even waited for me to do a whole test of our tub system to make sure everything worked.

I highly recommend using them for any of your plumbing needs!

Our 97 year old sewer line needs some love, but it's not an emergency situation, as everything is working fine and we'd just had the sewer rodded. I'd also already had another plumbing company come out to scope the line, provide an assessment, make a recommendation as to scope of work and bid the job.

Having received one of those many J Blanton direct mail pieces touting their sewer services, we figured we'd have them come out and give a second opinion as to the scope of work and provide a quote for us to consider.

The plumber who came out was professional, competent, and pleasant to deal with. The company, anything but. The price quoted to reline the sewer was very much on the high side, but not completely outside the range of what one might expect in Chicagoland. I told the plumber my wife and I would talk things over, consider our options, and thanked him for coming out.

And then the onslaught began. The next morning, my wife received a phone call pushing her to commit to the project. I also received 2 phone calls, a voicemail, a text message, and an email, all pushing me to book the job with shady, high-pressure sales / scare tactics. My sewer was "at risk of backing up" and we could have "overflowing and costly damage to our property." They were "fully booked" but if I acted fast they could "still help me" because they "luckily [had] a spot available" if I committed quickly.

On the morning of day two my wife received more text messages from multiple people, and I was contacted again as well, before she finally responded to tell them that the high-pressure sales tactics were a huge turn-off and the volume of phone calls, texts, and emails was bordering on harassment. All told, we collectively were contacted 11 times within 48 hours of the initial service call pushing us to commit. Conversely, the other plumbing company sent me one follow-up email four days after their service call simply asking if I had any questions or wanted to discuss the quote / project further. Notice a difference?

Maybe these high-pressure tactics work on folks who don't understand their plumbing situation, or are in an emergency and over a barrel. It's a shame, I guess, because the plumber seemed good and I imagine their technicians would have done a competent job with the actual sewer relining itself. But I had no interest in working with this company on the project (and paying top dollar to boot) after seeing how they go about generating business and being relentlessly deluged with pushy phone calls, texts, and emails.

Five stars without question. Stephen was really outstanding. He took the time to clear out the main line correctly and showed me the results via video camera. Not an easy task in the dead of winter. I highly recommend Blanton. Great company and thanks again, Stephen!

Emanuel and Gio did a great job. They were here all day in the freezing cold but did not leave until they made sure everything was in working order. Emmanuel kept me informed every step of the way. I highly recommend Blanton.

J Blanton Plumbing were very responsive and kept me up to date on the assessment and repairs. Cameron was very knowledgeable, professional and completely the job in a timely manner. My only complaint is the pricing.

We used J Blanton Plumbing for a sewer lining of our residential sewer line. This was a major project and it was handled successfully and professionally. It was not inexpensive, but in line with other quotes we had received. For such an important project, we wanted to work with a large, established company with a good reputation. We were very pleased.

Vincent and his partner did a great job. I expected the work on the sewer to be messy and invasive but the guys were so organized and clean. They were friendly and respectful and professional. With the exception of the machines they were so quiet. Vincent had to knock on the door before I even knew they were there. Vincent and J. Blanton are overall always 5 star service. I will stick with these guys for my plumbing needs! Thank you!

Alex was great as he was always very professional, explained the scope of work, and completed the work in a good timeframe. He replaced almost all of my gas pipes and even came back to fix the tinniest little issue that was noted by Nicor. I appreciate his service and hard work.

Thomas was very professional, friendly & knowledgeable. He explained everything before he did it and gave clear answers to our questions. Our initial contact Vincent was also really great, came out twice upon request to make sure we understood everything and got everything set up. We have peace of mind that everything was installed correctly and they back up their product. Happy we spent the extra to go with an insured, well established company.

I needed someone to come and fix a toilet in an old building and J Blanton plumbing was the first to reply back to my inquiry from Angi’s list. Once I connected with them, they were able to send out a plumber within 24 hours and sent a photo of who I’d expect to be coming over. This was super helpful and an added layer of attention/safety I appreciated. John Hogan, the plumber assigned was super friendly and educational on what the issue was and the best recommendation to fix it would be in a way that was easy to understand. He was able to fix and replace my entire toilet within 2 hours. He was transparent about the pricing so I knew the options. Would highly recommend John for any emergency or general plumbing needs!

Nick came in to service a gas leak. He was very thorough and talked my tenant and I through all the steps and what he was doing. He was very professional with his services and explained in details wha was needed. Highly recommend him.
